Peggy even arranged and played "our song" during the ceremony, which added a personal and special touch.

We found ourselves sitting next to small children who were having a small meltdown mid way through, but since it was outdoors, the sounds dispersed and we were still able to hear and enjoy the show. We've been twice. Both times it was a Broadway review. The first time was during the pandemic and we were all lined up watching from our cars like a drive in theater. It wasn't ideal, but it was greatly appreciated and shows how much they are dedicated to both their craft and to the community. They've also been incredibly supportive of health care workers who have so much during the pandemic. This year, we went to their "new" location in Sonoma. There is a VIP area with couches and such, but the non VIP area seemed more fun to me. There was a performance from a local dance school as well as different wineries and beverage you could chose from. There was a food truck or you could pack your own picnic and eat at the picnic tables there. Parking was a little confusing, but there were staff/volunteers that were really friendly and could point you in the right direction. We look forward to going again and seeing a full Broadway musical production.

The location at Jack London State Park is just lovely. The scenic back drop behind the performers as the sun sets is like getting two shows in one. So glad we have season tickets.

We parked in a lot on the main road and walked up the path to theater. It is a very large, two level modern facility. They also had valet service for this event. Picking up our tickets from Will Call was an experience. You wait in a line to reach a table where two nice older ladies would try to find your ticket from stack of tickets that weren't alphabetically separated. Low and behold, when we get there, it was determined that Goldstar purchasers had to go to the window and we had to wait in another line. I guess it was too hard for them to have a sign directing Goldstar purchasers to the window. After finally getting our tickets, we proceeded to our seats. The user was friendly and pointed us towards our seats. The seats were larger than normal and they had very ample legroom and I'm 6 feet tall. Overall, it was a nice facility, but it got two stars for being unorganized at Will Call.

Parking is a bit of a walk away from the theatre itself but was plentiful. Inside it's not the prettiest of buildings but good site lines from all the downstairs seats. Seats are comfortable enough . Because it was a morning show, I have no idea if there's a bar there. Going tomorrow to see Will Ferrel there so will update if there are any other interesting factoids.

Staff asked for our orders. I wanted to try their mezcal since I have not tried the ones they have in their menu. They were glad to give me a sample. I ended up getting a cocktail. We ordered food; mashed potatoes, buffalo wings and BBQ flatbread. The food was really good. Our server was very cool and chill. I forgot what her name was but she was attentive. The ambience was dark and lightly lit with blue lights around. There was a bar in the back right corner. Bathroom had a lot of stalls, but wasn't well kept. Jiaoying did have an earlier show around 6pm so it's probably from then since the show ran late. Overall we had a great time! Jiaoying had us laughing the entire time. Great place to enjoy date night.

I do love this school, but I'm am a little disappointed when it comes to the schools planning. My…read morestep-daughter has been attending this school since October of last year. The teachers are great, Especially Miss Kelsey. She does wonders with her Pre-Ballet and Ballet 1 classes! Such patience she has, its amazing! When I used to dance at another school when i was younger, they had given me a complete schedule when we signed up, when the recital would be, when the dress rehearsal were. My parents knew exactly what to expect for the dance year, knew when to plan vacations according to our schedule. Napa Valley Ballet doesn't not offer that. so be prepared for you child to possibly miss something if you plan ahead like I do. When it came to the recital, which they knew would be at the end of the "school year" in June. We didn't learn about the date of the recital until Mid April because they had not secured a location for the recital... Wouldn't this be something that they should have been planning since the beginning of the school year? The poor planning of the recital will also most likely lead to my step-daughter missing her dress rehearsal, The ONLY rehearsal, which is a whole week before the actual recital. My step-daughter is 5, and in two different dances, I DO NOT expect her to even remember what she is required to do a whole week ahead of time, if she can even make it.. The ladies who work the front desk never have any idea of whats going on. They can never give me an answer to any question I have. For instance, when they finally announced the date and times for the recital, the lady at the desk had NO idea if the tickets were on sale, or when they would be.. (the recital was less than two months away when i asked.) The poor planning of this schools events, and lack of communication at this establishment has lead me to look at other ballet schools for my step-daughter, which I don't really want to do considering my step-daughter loves her teacher and has become friends with the girls in her class. If the owner can step up, and take more initiative in her business, my step-daughter might possibly attend in the fall again.
