Haley Solar - The store is always decorated in themes

Everything in the shop is amazing - the styles of the clothing, the accessories and the intricate detail to be so on point with the theme. Everywhere you look there's a little something for everyone! I'd say the prices are pretty moderate and I'd like to come back when I have more time - the Twin Peaks items were reasonably priced! The area is really cute too so we took a little bit of a walk around as well, it was a wonderful trip!

Interior is nicely arranged and decorated with a very cheerful ambience. I found a couple of items that I liked, and went into the dressing room to try them on. I decided on a really cute sleeveless button down top, and purchased it. Prices are reasonable as well. There was also a sales rack in front of the shop. Street parking was not difficult to find. After leaving the shop later that day, I realized that I should've bought two of the tops instead of one, as I decided to give one as a gift to my sister. So I called the shop, and asked if they could hold another one for me, and that I'd go and pick it up. They did still have the size that I wanted. They were so nice about it, and said that they'd be able to hold it for me for a day, otherwise I could purchase it over the phone, and they'd save it for me. So I did call back when I realized that I couldn't go back and pick it up before the end of the next day. So I was able to purchase it over the phone on my credit card. I went back a few days later, and since I said it was going to be a gift, they had it nicely wrapped in a box with a ribbon! Service was really exceptional. Highly recommended.

Walking into this store just brings me happiness! It is beautifully curated and I always find…read moresomething that becomes my new favorite piece of clothing. I have been shopping here for years, I always find the owner and the staff to be so pleasant and helpful. You can tell that the store is loved and that the buyer (who I think is the owner) is inspired. What I especially like about this store is that all of the clothing is super high quality and is often sourced from other small businesses who are committed to their craft. I have dresses that I purchased from Dotter years ago and I wear them constantly, but they still look like new. The prices are super reasonable especially for the quality and longevity of the items. I love to go here whenever I need to pick up a gift for a friend, I always find the perfect item. I am so happy that Dotter is open again, I've missed being inside of this special store!

I have been a loyal customer since the store opened. It is my "go-to" for gifts or if I want…read moresomething special for friends and family. I drive @45 minutes to get there and had actually selected a jacket for myself. I tried on the jacket and noticed that there was a $32 discrepancy between the coat on line versus in the store. I waited in the long line (holiday sale prompted throngs) and told (& showed her the jacket I had saved in my phone) the owner what happened. She asked me to wait to check. I waited a good 15 plus minutes during which time her assistant took down the coat from the web site and made it reflect the higher price. Then she brightly asked if I wanted to try it on again and I said no, I need to leave and then she said she wouldn't honor the price that was listed on line stating it was a human error and she was running a small business. I think it is bad form to not honor the price that was listed. She has known than I've brought friends who have spent significant money in her store and I come to her from great distance for years...this was their mistake and I think it's extremely poor form to not honor what was listed. This is customer service at its worse. So much for loyalty. I could easily have bought the jacket on line and picked it up at the store but I thought that would not have integrity. Come to think of it, her actions didn't have integrity. You would think she would cultivate keeping her loyal customer base. What a disappointment.

Anyways, This is the perfect place to find beautiful floral, frilly, dresses that are delicate, timeless, and very high quality. This is also their first brick and mortar store (it initially opened last year after doing pop-ups in Carpinteria and Smorgasburg). There are various dresses of sizes from XS to XL of various colors and floral patterns. Additionally, you'll find beautiful floral jewelry, hair accessories, candles, and hand-crafted perfume from local sellers. You'll even find art prints from artist Kim Hoppe of Carpinteria along with 123 lavender farm's lavender coffee. All of these would make perfect gifts for a friend, a significant other or in my case, for me - it was my birthday. The owners Astrid and Rikki are both very welcoming and friendly. Rikki also hosts candle making classes where you get to make your own custom scent, add crystals, add a wax seal and get complimentary drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). It's a wonderful activity to do with a friend, family member or loved one. I highly recommend making a stop here if you are walking along York Blvd. personal note: I rarely go clothes shopping. I only limit myself to buy at most 2-3 pieces of clothing a year to ensure I'm not over-consuming clothing. But when I do shop, 1 of the pieces I buy comes from here. I have 3 pieces from them and I get non-stop compliments whenever I wear them.

Noelle designed a beautiful alter to honor loved ones. There was a DJ and reps from Hornitos Tequila serving up complimentary cocktails for patrons to enjoy while they shopped. I enjoyed conversing with Noelle & Danell and the locals who lived nearby. I also purchased some holiday gifts.

They have started to skew a lot younger so I mainly go for gifts. This holiday season I did the same. The sales person at the time of purchase mentioned that I had until Jan 10h for holiday returns. Today (1/4/26) I went in to return one item... from the moment I walked in the employee hanging out at the counter was displeased seeing me walk in with a bag & it showed. I was a retail manager for 4 years so I know how much we hate returns but I would never show it because that's customer service! Anywho I went in with my original receipt only to be told that because I didn't have a gift receipt I couldn't return it. I asked for an explanation because since when is a gift receipt better than an original receipt to get a full refund?!?? I couldn't tell you if the store policy sign was there when I purchased it or not but I KNOW I was never told or asked if I would need a gift receipt for a holiday return. Even so, receipt at hand, tags on, and item was in new condition. You would think that the manager would offer something like a store credit because the policy makes no sense. But no, she just had a smirk and cocky attitude. Lesson learned though, don't shop here ever again, supporting local business shouldn't mean buying overpriced clothes like a $32 basic white long sleeve.
