There were plenty of parking in the lot and you walking the market store, the crabbing docks and some campsites on the walk to the outdoor restaurant part (also lots of fun photo ops too!) The menu prices were reasonable and displayed right at the ordering/cooking station. You tell them what you want and then you take the metal plaque inside to pay. We got 1 Dungeness crab (cleaned), 1 lb of clams, and 1 dozen oysters all steamed to try. Please do note all the accompaniments were sold separately such as butter, garlic, cocktail sauce, and lemons. They also had a microwave station for you to melt the butter along with all the tools you'll need for your yummy tray of fresh seafood. Eating crab is a labor of love but it was totally worth it! The crab meat was juicy and sweet, while the clams and oysters were briny and salty. If you want raw oysters you have to shuck them yourself due to cross contamination prevention. But the steamed oysters were actually so good too! Service was quick and friendly with everyone working hard cleaning, steaming, and dishing out orders. It's nice to have the hand washing stations and bathroom close to rinse off the stickiness from our seafood feast. Definitely recommend coming here to get your fresh seafood on if you are in the Rockaway Beach area!

We called and were able to easily make a reservation in advance, with tips on when would be best to start our little adventure but also mentioning the flexibility of when we could show up. This was our very first time crabbing but they made it so easy for us to be successful. Jim was helpful and friendly, and Brody (I think that's his name?) explained everything about the boat and how to crab clearly enough for us beginners to understand. And the prices can't be beat either, more than fair for everything you're provided with! We loved how friendly everyone we came in contact with was and the total ease of the whole excursion. I stopped here during my spring break Oregon Road trip, which consisted of driving up through Central Oregon before I headed west to Astoria, and then down the entire coast of Oregon. I wasn't expecting to like Astoria as much as I did, but wow was I beyond impressed. The area of Fort Stevens is also very cool, it's neat how they made a park out of what was once a military site. There's so much lush greenery growing over the remaining army equipment, it's pretty cool how nature has taken over. I also saw some elk that were just sitting down hanging out in a little park. And each time we caught lots of crab, when you bring them back they will cook them to your liking. There are some rules but it's pretty simple overall. Patience is key when you're crabbing and remember the early birds get the worms! The staff is all very friendly and have a passion for this. The first day, we checked out the Fisherman's Boardwalk and crabbed/fished for over 7 hours. Caught a few Sea bass and limited out on Dungeness Crab! It was a pretty enjoyable day. Our second and third days were not as good because the weather was a bit colder, cloudy and very windy. Took a while to get our limit of crabs, but had no such luck getting the fish we wanted. Overall, we all had a whole lot of fun on our 3-day trip to Westport, WA! Got an ample amount of Dungeness Crab to take home and some Sea bass as well. Definitely needed a Vacay away from home and also from work. Even a short trip like this was beneficial to relax and rejuvenate ourselves.

We went to the Marina one year for a pirate festival in which people of course dressed as pirates but a good runner up was mermaid costumes. It was a good time! You can also go on the jetty and get a great view of the Olympic Mountains and see the town of Ocean Shores across the water. Good views from the jetty and it gets even better going to where the fishermen are on the boardwalk. There is also a tower to go up on the west side of the marina for good views as well. When Steve and I were walking along the docks and bridges of the marina we spotted a some aquatic wildlife like harbor seals and jellyfish.
