They updated a few things, moved the office towards the front, and it just seems to be running really well (do I dare say better?). Everything else is great! We rented a boat and went crabbing. Only got 3 crabs this time, but it was still fun. It's just the idea of being out there that makes it so fun! We went on a rainy day so could not enjoy the view from our site since we had to stay inside the trailer. It's okay, it was still a great visit. I look forward to going again! Ha! I have to laugh, you know when you are tying reviews, you can see others to the right. I see that one of my friends wrote a review and pretty much wrote the same as I did in the 1st paragraph. That's funny. July 2025

Between the…read moregorgeous weather, the great seafood, and the amazing view, it was a total highlight of our trip. One of the best parts of the experience is that you get to pick out the exact crab you'd like; they are then cooked and cleaned for you right on the spot! They also offer clams to steam and oysters that you can shuck yourself if you're looking for a variety. After selecting your crab, you head inside the shop to pick out chips, canned sodas, or something from their variety of beers and sauces to pair with your meal; just don't forget to grab your butter, garlic, and lemons before paying! They also offer oyster shooters in a souvenir shot glass, though be warned that they are served frozen; you may find yourself finishing your meal with them instead of starting with them by the time they finally thaw. The crab was obviously super fresh; truly, nothing beats eating it fresh out of the pot! We also noticed they have a number of back-in RV sites overlooking the water; that is definitely something we'd consider for a future stay. If you're looking for an authentic, hands-on coastal experience, this is the place to be!

Interesting reviews for this little town. Three stars because most places are closed on…read moreSunday?!?!? Maybe the hard working folks in this town need a day off? Or they are at church giving thanks? The pile of lumber the karen complained about is apparently long gone. I've been coming here a few times a year for the past 35 years or so and I can't say that I've ever seen her opinion of an eyesore. And creosote is not especially harmful unless you consume it in large quantities. So let's talk about the good in Garibaldi and there is plenty of that here. Not a lot of places to eat but there are a few. With the scamdemic dining options are more limited but I'm sure the shop owners are suffering a lot more than their hungry wannabe patrons. The OCSR runs daily excursion trains daily during summer hours up to Rockaway. They also do very limited availability runs up to Salmonberry if you are lucky enough to get on one of those. The track bed gets increasingly rough as the years go by and that line did go all the way to Banks (and perhaps to Hillsboro if I recall correctly) not that long ago. The marina is great. I don't happen to have a boat but I love going there and talking to the skippers of old wooden vessels and taking photographs. These sailors come from all over and are mostly very friendly and happy to chat with dumb tourists like myself. The only negative, and it's really not a serious negative due to safety reasons but there is often a cop with radar at either end of town. I don't know what the limit is for actually getting a ticket but a small amount of inattention could potentially spoil your whole day. Of course if you run someone over because you are speeding that would spoil their whole day so..... Garibaldi is one of my favorite little towns along 101 and I've run the length of it from the Olympic peninsula to California.

The folks who run the place keep everything sparkling clean. There is a huge restroom and a smaller one and they are open year round and are very clean. The slips seem to have all the amenities and a number of people live on their boats there year round. Always enjoy talking with the people there and taking pictures of any new vessels that look interesting. It's a very short walk to town where there are places to eat and shop. Cathlamet is a nice little town with mostly friendly people (the local cops excluded). The cabins have been there for a long time and look to be cozy enough although I am not one who would enjoy neighbors so close to me if I went there specifically to get away from people. But I rarely see any vehicles parked there off season so I'm guessing you would mostly be by yourself if you rented one. The view up river is nice and on a warm, sunny day it can be quite pleasant just hanging out there.

They have very nice showers and laundry facility's. My only issue is that the sites have no sewer hook ups. Sigler Cove Marina has completely failed to protect its elderly and disabled residents…read more An elderly man in his 70s was harassed and victimized for months. Another tenant stole from his boat, spray-painted his car, threw feces on his boat, and dumped a substance that made his dog Thor very sick. Management was told about every incident and begged repeatedly to evict or restrict the person. Their only response was always "We can't do anything." When the same man assaulted me, smashing my phone, knocking me down, and causing a concussion and worsening injuries, management received a police report and a formal 24-hour eviction demand. They still did almost nothing. It took over four months of complaints, an assault, and repeated requests before the person was finally removed. After I helped the elderly tenant and became a victim myself, I was singled out. Management suddenly demanded I clean up my dock finger and remove everything around my boat, while other tenants continue to have massive piles of junk and trash all over their areas. When I pointed this out, I was told "Don't think I'm singling you out" -- even though I was clearly the only one being forced to clean up. The docks are also dangerous, with large holes that canes can fall through, severely uneven fingers, and multiple tripping hazards that still haven't been fixed. This marina protected the aggressor while elderly and disabled tenants lived in fear. I will update this review if the hazards are repaired and the property is made safe.

If I could put a minus star review I would. The female manager in slip 63 is really something else…read more I was hired to pick up a sailboat for a young couple who lived on it. The manager took a liking to the boat and said that the columbia sheriff had called her and warned her about me. Which I thought was funny since they didn't have my name so how could the sheriff have possibly contacted her about me when neither the sheriff nor the manager knew my last name. Come to find out the manager was currently living in a sailboat that she had scammed off of the girls mother who had actually bought the sailboat that I was hired to retrieve. Giess she had gotten away with it before and was trying to upgrade using the same trick. The manager ( and I use that term loosely) belongs behind bars. My advice... stay away from this marina and the manager. Bad news all the way around!
