Katy and Jonathan had a great selection of seasonal, farm-to-table dishes to choose from and we had full confidence that the dishes would be excellent regardless of what we actually selected. In addition, the team managed the bar, setup, breakdown, and rentals at the venue we selected, as well as coordinating with the florist, balloon vendor, and dessert vendor. Their team is kind, responsive, and experienced and I cannot recommend them highly enough. There was an abundance of food and they have very competitive rates. We were able to get a family style dinner without breaking our budget. My wife and I have experienced many elements of their business, from catering (at our wedding and at other events), to dining in, to COVID takeout. Every time, the quality of the food and service has been top notch and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic time in a magical, whimsy and woodsy space! BYOB (and share with your neighbor). Expect dinner to be a long/late night affair but a totally worthwhile experience that you'll leave from having made a new friend or two. Almost like a baby Brooklyn version of Woodinville's Herbfarm. The food was great, though not quite filling. Would definitely recommend their catering/event services. After ringing the doorbell, you're invited through the warehouse doors into a commercial kitchen studio where the magic happens (Tinkerbell herself cooks here). Highly recommend checking out a Pixie Scout event -- to anybody who LOVES Hudson Valley food and farms and culinary exploration. They also offer workshops and classes in topics such as Preserving, Butchering, Fairy Dust on Your Spice Rack, and Being Generally Awesome (maybe not the last two).

They set up the bridal suite for us with our own spread of appetizers I was able to munch on as my dress was bustled and got ready to join our guests. Used Culinary Classics as a caterer several times from the Ala Carte menu. I like to contribute to…read morebusinesses in our town of Sayreville. I pay cash for everything upfront so who ever picks up the order only needs the receipt. First time they were right on the mark. The food was excellent, and trays were ready at the time promised. Second time 2 sides were missing and I needed to wait for them to make the sides about 45 minutes. Guests were arriving at my house and I was waiting for food. But these things do happen unfortunately. However, the third time there was no excuse. Christmas Eve. Ordered the food and paid for it 2 weeks before. Customers were lined up in the parking of the building they were renting and down the block. It seems as though he had high school kids bringing the orders out who didn't have a clue as to what they were doing. My pick up was 3 o'clock. They didn't call my name for 2 hours after continually being promised that I am next. Finally my order was ready. I squeezed through the crowd to place my order in the car to go home. After arriving home with my guests arriving, I realized this time I was again missing 2 items from my order. So I returned to tell them and I was informed they must have given it away. And my response was to make up my 3 orders. Now the crowd outside was growing and people's orders were being given to the wrong people. Mine was finally ready after many inquiries. Got home by 6:45. Since then, the owner closed up shop and moved elsewhere, and then again moved and so on. It's a shame as the food from this caterer was really very good and he would have had a great catering business in town. But he blew it big time. My advice is to stay away from this caterer no matter his promises or price, whatever town he has landed in now. Seems as though he is running from something.............

Appetizers consisted of steamed muscles, fried calamari and bacon wrapped dates. There was also a platter with fresh fruits and mellon slices, cheeses and crackers. All so good. So I piled a plate high with a Cesar salad with the perfect amount of dressing, a loaded rigatoni pasta salad, broiled potatoes, sliced roast beef with a dark thick au jus and horseradish sauce, a excellent rollatini, vegetables and assortment of bread. Culinary Classics Catering hit one out of the park by my standards. Don't use anyone else for your next catered affair.

The wild mushroom and manchego beggar's purse and the Thai chili flank steak drew the most comment, though every one of the six was worth eating. The mains were brisket, branzino, and a truffle-cream ravioli with wild mushrooms, and nobody had a bad plate. The Viennese table was a proper spread, and the cake looked lovely and tasted it. The pacing was smart. Courses arrived on the rhythm of the evening: salad as the first dance ended, mains after the speeches, dessert after we cut the cake. They and our planner had a full plate of the canapés hand-delivered to each of us right after the ceremony, before cocktail hour had even started. The service team was fast, polished, and friendly, and one of them came to find us mid-dinner so that we actually sat down and ate. Tim Brown knows what he is doing with a menu and how an evening should run. His early menus arrive with an enormous number of options, which can look daunting.
