Sometimes, keeping things simple is the secret to making something exceptional. I chose the express line and headed to the first-come, first-served seating area in the back. I quickly found a window seat, which gave me a great view of the constant SoHo hustle and bustle--the perfect setting for enjoying lunch. There are also several options for customizing your experience. You can order the egg salad on white or wheat bread, toasted or untoasted. And if you can't decide between egg salad and tuna salad, there's the off-menu "Jonathan," which combines half egg salad and half tuna salad in the same sandwich. Another option is the Salad Plate, which comes with a scoop of both egg salad and tuna salad served with Ritz crackers. As always, the restaurant was spotless, and the service was efficient, friendly, and consistently excellent. The total came to about $17, including tax and tip. The burger was delicious. Smash burgers are my favorite, and this one was cooked perfectly with crispy edges while still moist. I also really appreciate that they offer a gluten-free bun. The burger and fries were a satisfying portion without feeling overly heavy. This is a casual spot, but it consistently delivers delicious food at a reasonable price. If you are looking for a classic smash burger in the neighborhood, I would recommend.
