After a "Geotechnical Survey", "Soil Compaction Analysis, a certified arborist's (Arbor Care) plan, and many thousands of dollars, Arbor Care cut down two 100ft tall trees leaving the stumps and logs to become "Nursery Logs" that protect and nurture new growth. They said this was just a standard job to them, but I was in awe of the skill it took to somehow carefully and safely remove these huge bushy giants situated in such a precarious tight space. They arrive before dawn and stay until dark. We and our neighbors are now safe in a storm, and they even included the grinding of all of the stumps to the point that you can hardly tell these trees were ever here. We appreciated that they made sure our septic system was not impacted by heavy equipment. They were efficient and professional as they removed a few trees and did a nice job cleaning up the worksite. Per our request, they turned a Douglas fir into a snag for a wildlife habitat feature and chipped onsite so we now have wonderful mulch for our fruit trees and landscaping. I am a tree lover and highly value important wildlife habitat. I was reluctant to remove any trees for years but finally decided to take out a few since we live in a log home and had several trees very close to the house.
