Arbor Care has worked on trees on our property three times. We have a much loved but very structurally challenging apple tree. They responded to a broken limb after a nasty storm in the fall while the tree was still heavy with fruit. They did triage at the time and then returned later to do an overall trim after the crop had been picked. They also responded within hours when a tree fell and was blocking the sidewalk and driveway during a storm two years ago. I've been a satisfied customer of Arbor Care for years since buying a house where the previous owners wanted the yard to be an urban orchard. Luke worked with me to remove some trees so others would thrive, and has pruned my trees every summer since then. They expertly tackled a huge monkey puzzle tree that had died in Astoria after nearby road construction, and which posed a danger in upcoming winter storms with it's substantial top-heavy trunk and razor-sharp "leaves!" 2018 ended with a 140' tree uprooting ( bounced off the house ) in our backyard . Luke surveyed\inspected the culprit & found 2 more tall buggers threatening to come down "someday" . The hard working folks at Arbor Care trimmed our large 100 year old black locust tree a few years ago. The tree looks amazing and has done really well since they trimmed it. More recently, Arbor Care removed a hemlock tree from our landscaped slope that was too close to our neighbors house. They took great care to avoid damaging our landscaping. OUTSTANDING! Quoted a fair price for felling 3 huge, dangerous trees. Arrived with a lift, and a monster wood chipper. Took two trees down a piece at a time and felled the third between two small apple trees only 4 feet apart. They chipped all the branches, picked up all the trash and even raked my drive. Arbor Care took care of a large problem tree for us as well as did some significant pruning to some other vegetation. They did a great job, fast and efficient. Luke came out and gave us a bid and some good advice, and his guys were great to work with. These folks did a wonderful job of both tree removal and tree replacement. Even in a rain storm, even when their truck caught fire, not a cross word out of anybody on the team and the job was done on time and as promised.
