I am very particular with my dry cleaning and went to Encino Dry Cleaning for years, but then they closed and referred their clients to Elliott's Dry Cleaners. They are more expensive, but as I have noticed, they are better than Encino!! I thought no one could be better than Encino!!! Absolutely one of worst dry cleaners I've been to they charge $30 a shirt to wash. At first I thought it was normal because I had a chrome hearts long sleeve that was around $1000 and I wasn't expecting to take the cheap route. I ended up taking my clothes there and all the writing on the T-shirts ripped away. I told the guy what happened and he ended up saying this happens at dry cleaning . I am very disappointed I don't recommend anyone there close here at all. read more

I had to get the police involved!!! Yup, you heard right! I dropped off a sports jacket to get dry cleaned at closing lastnight and not only was given attitude by Sam (the owner) but was quoted $18 to clean it. This morning, woke up and called a few other cleaners and was quoted $8 so i called and let Sam know i was coming in to get my coat because he's too expensive and he yelled at me that i couldn't come pick it up and hung up on me. Completely annoyed, i drove over to get it and calmly spoke told him and asked again for my jacket. He started screaming at me pointing his finger in my face, in front of his poor employees, telling me to get out of his store. I was shocked and disgusted and told him that i was not going to give him my business and that i would get the police involved if he didn't give me my property. He laughed and told me to go ahead....so, i did! The police officers went in and 1 minute later walked out with my jacket in a bag saying that Sam had it in a bag all ready to go. He had sprayed it with a dry cleaning chemical so it smelled horrible! I happily took it to another dry cleaner, where i was welcomed and thanked for my business. I wish I had read the reviews before hand. Shame on me for not doing my homework. Now into them - took my skirt in on Thursday for a broken zipper. Owner 1 said either $15 or $16, I got back on Tuesday to go pick it up. Receipt doesnt gave the price and the workers dont know how much it is. They ask Owner2 and he rambles $25. Hold up! I told him it was either $15 or $16 so he yells at me "Why do you ask me if you already know" Completely disrespectful!!! No way you run a business! First that you yell at a costomer, Second that you don't know your own prices! I was going to take my husbands suit but thanks for allowing me to dodge that bullet! read more

Elliot's does a beautiful work. I've been a customer for many, many years, and my clothes are always returned to me looking as nice as they did when brand new. Better still, there is no unpleasant chemical smell, which clothes sometimes retain when returned by other dry cleaners. And in addition, when I've been desperate to have an item back overnight(or same day, if I' e been able to get it in very early in the morning), they've been able to get it back to me same day(late), or next day. Whatever you do, do not go here!!!!!! I just picked up a halloween costume dress from Elliot's dry cleaners at White Oak and Ventura, and the owner Sam presents me with a $45 cleaning fee! I laughed at first thinking it was a joke. Then he said, since I didn't ask him ahead of time what the price would be, I have no reason to complain. I told him that it would have been nice if he had told me it would cost a whopping $45 for one stupid throwaway dress upfront!! He was yelling and being a total jerk to me, so I told him my company down the street and yelp! would all be informed as to the racket he has going on at his shop. Sam, the owner thinks he is the gift to all dry cleaning customers. He has the worst attitude with the audacity to tell people they are lying about his Sh*ty dry cleaning and pressing. I have had several issues, over the last year or so, but finally I'm done with this Shole. I took in three suits, along with other cleaning items. When I picked them up, I did not notice the pants were creased all the way up in the front like pleaded pants and my ass looks like I have a crease running up it. Another words they creased the pants way too high. Most store owners will just say, no worries let me fix it and be done with it. Not only he tells me I must have taken it to another cleaners, basically telling me I'm a liar! He also sits there and tells me he has a machine that is not possible of doing that. Guess what MOFO, I had a cleaners for 6 years my self and I had the same machine too, but the presser can F**K things up by pressing incorrectly. Btw, he is always boasting about how much business he has, if you're really have the kind of business maybe you can invest some money to get your teeth fixed, as the SHREK look has been out since Shrek 3. First time using this drycleaners. A bit expensive. $30 for 5 mens shirts and that wasn't a rush order. Dropped off on Monday and picked up on a Thursday. No prices on the walls and they don't write prices on their invoices when dropping off. The shirts came back clean though. Old school, they don't use a computer to take your info just write your name on the invoice when dropping off. What happens of you loose your ticket? read more

I had just moved to the area and needed a new local dry cleaner. I walked into Elliot's and the man who greeted me gave me a $50 estimate to dry clean three dress shirts and one two-piece suit. When I told him his estimate seemed a little high, he simply said, "We do good work here." When I told him I was going to shop around instead, he demanded the receipt slip back and then rudely tossed my clothes on the counter and walked off. I drove one block to Maestro Cleaners who quoted me $20 for the exact same job. I will never walk into Elliot's again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. I am amazed they stay in business. I asked the owner a week ago how much is costs for a shirt to be dry cleaned he said $3.00 and today I pick up my shirts he gives me a total of $40.00 for four shirts!!!!! I ask why?
