BOTCHED OTOPLASTY CAUSED PERMANENT DAMAGE AND CHRONIC PAIN I had otoplasty (ear pinning) done with Heller a few years ago. Heller was emphatic about using general anesthesia, even though I repeatedly asked for local anesthesia. It even says on Allure's website that local anesthesia is used for otoplasty, since it is a minor procedure. My preferences were ignored. I was charged thousands of dollars more for the general anesthesia I didn't want, not to mention the tremendous health risks involved with being put under. It was also upsetting that I had to be naked and unconscious for the procedure, when it was completely unnecessary. I now understand Heller wanted me put under for the surgery to hide his incompetence. The results of the procedure were terrible - asymmetrical with severe deformities. Heller severed the cartilage horizontally through the center of my left ear. Basically, my ear is cracked in half. There is also a large section of cartilage that is missing from the outer rim of my ear. It is now only held together with skin, there is no structure there. The damaged cartilage is disfigured, highly visible and beyond repair. Beyond the aesthetics, I am now living with chronic pain. I feel a constant burning sensation where the cartilage is ripped. There is never a time when I do not feel discomfort in my ear and sometimes the pain is incredibly sharp. It is also painful to sleep on my side or wear anything on my head: hats, headphones, glasses, etc. I now suffer from migraines and some days I can't even leave my home, the pain is so severe. Living with chronic pain has greatly diminished my quality of life. My surgery was in 2019. I thought the pain would have gone away by now, but I now understand that it is permanent. I am now spending thousands of dollars, out of pocket, for on-going corrective procedures, weekly acupuncture, and various types of pain management. These cosmetic and holistic treatments are not covered by insurance and will cost me high six-figures in the long run. I couldn't take Heller to court because of the pandemic. Now that I know the pain is permanent and I am spending a tremendous amount of money on treatments, I wish I would have sued him. The staff at Allure is unprofessional and rude. They even tried to withhold documents from me. I received nothing but hassles when I tried to obtain copies of my operation report and medical records. I overheard the staff using foul language and saying nasty things about patients. I had to visit the office during the pandemic and none of the staff were wearing masks, even though it was mandated by the city - especially for medical personnel. Heller didn't wash his hands or wear gloves when using a needle to take my blood. There are very low standards at that office. I agree with other patients posting that Heller is unprofessional in a creepy way. It was indecent that he asked me to remove my hospital gown for my clinical reference photos. He knew I wasn't wearing anything under my gown. It was unnecessary and highly inappropriate for him to even ask me to do that, considering he was taking close-up pictures of my ears. Having my surgery done with Heller was the worst decision I have ever made. I was mutilated, left permanently deformed, living with chronic pain and carrying a huge financial burden. I went to Dr. Heller a few times for filler injections in different areas, and every time it has been great. I initially found him off of Groupon and decided to give Allure Plastic Surgery a try, I am very glad I did. The receptionists are friendly and the wait time for me is never too long. The first time I visited Dr. Heller, it was for Juvederm Voluma XC injections to the chin. Though most surgeons want to use Radiesse, I am not sure if I personally want that filler since it cannot be dissolved if you don't like the results. Voluma is FDA approved for cheeks, using it for chin is considered off label use. Most doctors will use Voluma for the chin area, but not all since it is a thicker filler and it needs to be injected down to the bone level to avoid any lumps or unevenness and it requires more skill. Dr. Heller did a beautiful job the first time, but I wasn't sure if I wanted the full syringe for my chin, so he injected the rest into my cheeks. It was instant gratification and I was very happy with my results. It looked so natural nobody can tell after about 2 weeks of settling. Five months later I decided I wanted more chin projection at the ball of my chin, and also some for the sides of my chin as well to shape my jawline better. He did an amazing job yet again, no bruising and it looks perfect. Since we had a little bit of Voluma left, he diluted it and put the last remaining bits into my lips. Lips I know are very tricky to get even, but everything turned out great, it took about 2 weeks for all the swelling to go away again. But holy hell, lip fillers hurt so much more than chin fillers. So a month later, I decided to go for a full 1cc syringe of Juvederm Ultra XC. The filler itself is premixed with lidocaine to help with the pain. They also put numbing cream on beforehand and I iced before and after the injection to minimize bruising. We discussed the lip shape that I wanted, specifically I wanted my bottom lip to be fuller than my top lip with volume throughout the full length of my bottom lip and that is what he delivered. So far my lips feel very natural and no lumps or bumps formed. I'm usually a pretty curious person so I always look at my filler syringes when they leave it with me in the waiting room. And come on, it's several hundred dollars to about 1000 a pop depending on what fillers you want so it's not cheap. It's always labeled and has the lot number as well. If it is important for you to see them open the box in front of you, I don't think they won't have a problem with doing so. So far I've been very happy with my injections and I will be back when I need more. read more

I had lipo one month ago and I am already completely happy with the results! It's everything I wanted!!! No matter how much I exercised I could not lose the belly fat and my clothes were tight and I had a roll over my jeans and I was miserable. Dr. Heller isolated the areas that needed help and trimmed my waist and hips to an hour glass shape and I honestly cannot believe the change in me. He decided to add the area under my bra in the back on day of surgery too (for no extra charge). The recovery is uncomfortable but I would do it again. I have had filler in my lips before several times and this was not authentic, I don't know what it was but my experience with "doctor" Heller was not a good one. I had zero results from juviderm in my lips after the swelling went down. When I called and went back to address the situation 10 days later asking if it was juviderm because he didn't open it in front of me he said it was mixed with lidocane which is like novicane to numb and reduce swelling which I've never heard of before, usually the doctor applies a topical numbing cream. So again I went through the pain thinking maybe there would be more juviderm than novicane and now it's again 10 days later and my lips are exactly the same as before I had the filler done. ***What a waist of time and money***, I will be reporting him to the Board. read more

Unbelievable but very true. Very unprofessional, and sulky staff. Went to him for a consult for tummy tuck (just before the pandemic). I was given a quote, I agreed and signed up the paperwork and paid for the surgery. On the day of the surgery, I was given a gown to wear, the doctor came, made marks on my belly, took pictures. Later the anesthesiologist comes, explains the procedure. Later the doctor excuses himself to have a word with his assistant. Comes back with a confused look on his face and says, Quote "I am not going to do the surgery. I don't want to start something than come across an obstacle that I can't handle since you have a hernia, after all I am only a plastic surgeon". Unquote , He knew all along that I had a hernia, than why the hell he agreed to do the surgery? He than says I needed to go to a hospital for the surgery. Imagine what I went through after that, Emotional Stress for a long time My payment was refunded. The very next year, I found another Plastic Surgeon on fifth avenue. I had an tummy tuck several years ago that was not at all what I expected. After several meetings with Dr. Heller he agreed to redo the surgery and all I had to do was pay for anesthesia. The day of the redo surgery he told me it was going to take too long and cost me another 8 thousand after I had already paid 10,000 in cash. Completely unprofessional and I just found out he's actually Ears Nose and throat doctor not a real plastic surgeon. I've recently had breast augmentation by Dr. Elliot Heller. Ive wanted to have it done for as long as I can recall, but was always nervous. However, when I met Dr. Elliot Heller that all changed. I was referred by a friend and after seeing about 15 doctors prior, I was naturally skeptical. He made me feel secure the minute we shook hands. He didn't have any of the weird salesman-like attitude that I experienced with other surgeons. He was kind, easygoing and most importantly, honest. He told me what he felt would be best for my body whole managing to listen to my concerns. I scheduled the surgery for a month later and was prepping myself for the dreaded surgery. My procedure day came and the staff made me feel very safe and calm, even the anesthesiologist came in to speak with me prior to the surgery, which really calmed my nerves. Everyone was exceptionally professional, yet kind. I woke up from the surgery feeling like I just took a nap. I felt fine immediately and resumed work for my small business that same day. I can honestly say I had zero downtime and dry minimal discomfort, which only lasted about 4 days. It is now a over a year after my surgery and my breasts look and feel great (as they did right away) and the incisions are barely noticeable. In November 2015 I had a surgery from Dr. Heller, brow lift and eyelid for both eyes low and upper sides. I did not satisfied of his work. Brow lift did not bring result at all, nothing was change. Eyelid surgery. On left eye upper lid skin, was not removed enough. Dr. Heller said if he take more skin, brow pull down. Right eye look totally ugly. After surgery right eye was pulled up, not like was before. Until now, I fell discomfort in this eye, visible became small than other. Extra skin of right eye was removed partly and non symmetrical. Maximum doctor took in beginning of eye and minimum end of eye. After surgery I have different looks of eyes. One month late, after surgery, doctor did one more surgery. He tried removed extra skin from right eye. Unfortunately result was minimally. On my question, that right eye to much up, skin stretch, this is visible, please pull eye down, like was before, doctor said it's impossible. Now I need to look other doctor who more professional. Had a consultation here a while back and finally made the step forward to have some brown spots removed. The doctor was good at doing that and I didn't feel any discomfort or pain throughout the entire process. The office was clean, everything seemed sterile. This was my second time coming to this office and so far everything appeared to heal up good. Dr. Heller injected my lips with Juvederm and I'm happy with the results. First let me say that he was pleasant and the office was clean and organized. They were generous with the lidocaine cream application and allowed enough time for it to numb my lips. This was much appreciated. Also Dr. Heller took his time injecting my lips making sure they were symmetrical. In my case I didn't get the volume I wanted with just one syringe so when I asked to come back for some more filler they provided me with exceptional customer service. This was a total nightmare from the start. After I had my tummy tuck the drains accidentally ripped out one at a time and he just told me to put gauze in it. He is a terrible doctor because after I had my tummy tuck the hole was so tiny and he agreed to try to make it bigger but he just made my belly button look uglier than before. He is a fucking terrible Doctor my belly button is a hole with puss coming out of it and it looks awful. Stay away from this doctor if u have the chance. I don't even think he's a real doctor, there is something incredibly fishy about him. After my belly button was made larger by him, I came back a week later and of course all he told me was to put gauze on my belly button. Since i am unhappy with my belly button I asked him if he could do another surgery to fix my belly button to make it look normal but he said he wasn't going to do anything else to try to improve the look of my belly button. If I could give this shady operation negative stars I would. Truly the worst of the worst. They apparently canceled an appt with me, but never told me. So three days after returning from Afghanistan on a military deployment, I flew across the country to keep the appt I made 6 weeks before. Only to be told that he wasn't in that day. The absolute arrogance of this office was almost unbelievable. The fact that I had spent a considerable sum of money to keep my appt, they acted like it wasn't their fault, even though I could prove that I was never contacted. They violated their implied contract like it was no big deal. Any other office would at least offer to work with a patient, or at least return a phone call to apologize. I requested numerous times to be called back, was assured someone would contact me, but no one ever did. I was lied to by the office staff several times. Dr. Heller's arrogance and lack of patient empathy shows he really only wants your money. STAY AWAY!!!!! I am in the process of starting legal action and have had them added to the list of non military friendly physicians on Tricare and USAA, and also the off limits list for US military personnel. read more
