If you're ever in the Corsicana Texas area, I highly recommend you stop by for lunch or dinner and try the Italian food. I was traveling back home and decided to stop in Corsicana for the night and found them on yelp basically because of the pictures it looked so good and let me tell you it was. I had the lasagna which came out steaming, bubbling hot. Had a nice salad and the rolls oh my goodness they were delicious. If there's only one negative is that they did not have any liquor or beer or wine. However, besides that I would definitely recommend it and go back. read more

The bright side was Alison, service extra great, otherwise I would've left. It's similar to a low grade Olive Garden. I won't be returning for food. Tonight was the second time me and my husband chose to dine here. Tonight we brought our 19 year old who is definitely a "foodie". We all appreciate good food. The service is EXCELLENT. The food is EXCELLENT. The ambience is comfortable and relaxing. Perfect for a special occasion, for a date night, or family meal outing. Everything we've ordered has been fantastic. The calzones ROCK!!! Enough for two meals really. The Trio Special (ravioli, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken Parmesan) was made to perfection. Tonight I chose the eggplant Parmesan and it was one of the best I've had at a restaurant. I cleaned my plate. The rigatoni (Italian sausage, mushroom with pink sauce) was a hit. Corsicana definitely has some gems! We feel so grateful such a good Italian restaurant is located here so close to home. As we were celebrating the feast of tabernacles (Sukkot), we went out to dinner and went to Ellinya Italian restaurant. We were welcomed by the most prettiest hostess Ms. Brandy who lead us to our table. She was very polite, welcoming and pretty smile. The ambiance of the restaurant was very elegant and very quiet. Our server Mr. Carlos Luis was very polite, friendly and efficient. He took all of our orders and didn't miss a step. He brought us our drinks brought us bread with olive oil with oregano and butter on the side. The bread was a garlic roll, hot and very soft and delicious. I had the pasta trio which is lasagna/ravioli/manicotti, with beef, and side salad with creamy ranch dressing, for $13.95, my brother and cousin had the spaghetti with meat sauce and side salads, for $12.95 each, philly cheesesteak 12 inch pizza, for $17.95, and Caesar salad with chicken, for $11.95 and $4.00 for added chicken. Found this cozy little spot cruising home from Arlington. Descended on them some 20 minutes before closing but that didn't stop Luis Carlos from offering us remarkable service. Personable and knowledgeable, he toured us through the menu like a pro. We opted for veal piccata, chicken parmigiana and fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and all were delivered proudly to our table freshly made. Portions are huge and the recipes authentic. This is a lovely little unexpectedly classy restaurant in the middle of Corsicana Texas. The ambience is nice and comfy, the waitstaff are nice, friendly and competent. We loved the food. As vegetarians it's often hard to find even one dish let down a selection. It would've been nice to have a few more truly veggie options but what they had was excellent. The eggplant Parmesan was delicious as was the cheese ravioli. If you don't mind eating cheese this is a really good place. My family of four had lunch at Ellinya while traveling from Houston to Fort Worth. What a find!!! The food was absolutely fantastic!!! We ordered the pasta puttanesca, rigatoni, salmon, and grilled chicken cutlet in a white wine sauce. The prices were very reasonable considering the generous portions. I love when a place exceeds all your expectations and Ellinya Italian sure did. From the delicious garlic knots with dipping oil to the crab studded mushrooms for an appetizer to my lobster stuffed ravioli as an entree, everything we had was delicious with robust flavors. The pasta melted in your mouth and the cream sauce? To-die-for! My husband had the stuffed shells with shrimp and opted for half of it with pesto cream sauce on top and half with marinara. It was a worthy compromise. We split a slice of the limoncello cake for dessert (excellent). For the quality and caliber of food this place was a steal. If you are driving through this is worth the detour. It's a little bit off the highway into town, but KEEP driving, it's well worth it. The price point, the service, most importantly the food was amazing! We ordered an appetizer with mozzarella sticks, calamari, and bruschetta it was all so tasty! The bread that gets brought out is great served with soft butter! And then our meal was 10/10 no complaints! My only complaint is a personal one as it was HUMID inside. They did not have the air on so it was warm and humid and I'm not used to that being from arizona(it's a dry heat haha) but this would not deter me from going back if I was driving through! Baked not fried and delicious. I had a supreme pizza, 14", minus green peppers and it was great. The marinara is compote and very good. I recommend the house Chianti. Stop in Corsicana for some business and on my way out I asked a local for a restaurant recommendation. This place came recommended without any thought. We were quickly greeted and sat.
