Yes, prices may be a little higher than big box stores, but I'd much rather spend it at a mom and pop shop than WalMart that is a minute away. Their employees are always helpful and answer any questions I may have. They have so many brands to choose from and are never out of stock. There have been a couple times I've bought something and end up getting the wrong item, then having to head home. A few weeks will pass til we return, and as long as I have the receipt, I'm able to exchange or return with no questions asked. I definitely appreciate that.

Lots of great deals too-the prices are very reasonable and their clearance items are also well priced. So many gorgeous stone, gem, crystal and artisan pieces. Whenever looking for minerals, this is a highly recommended place to go to. The main issue here, and it's a big one, is unclear and inconsistent pricing. A lot of items simply aren't labeled properly. For example, you'll see trays of quartz with vague Quality ranges like "from A+ to C," but no explanation of what that actually means. Because of this, prices often get decided at the register instead of on the shelf! Ouch! This leads directly to the real problem: whoever helps you can quote you a completely different price for the exact same item. !!! There's one older Asian lady you really want to avoid like plague, for example. no matter how high the prices are, she will always charge a triple the amount it cost. Very greedy. The upselling is aggressive and constant. Prices going up overall is understandable inflation happens. But when pricing isn't transparent, it opens the door to situations like this, and that's frustrating.
