Every time we come to J-town, we hit this place up. Last time we came here around Mother's Day, we were greeted with a carnation. What a great way to start your shopping. There's always a greeter by the door. Staff is welcoming and there's always someone being rung up at the cashier. This time we came to J-town for the Nisei celebration. There's a whole bunch of items you can pick up from here. There's a variety of snacks and drinks. Candy, chips, ramen... all different choices. There are also bath and beauty merchandise. Hair accessories, blind boxes, stationery items and various Sanrio stuff. I'm a Tuxedo Sam and Ahiru no pekkle fan, iykyk! So on our first trip I found a couple blind boxes and loved coming here ever since. This trip we purchase some cut pens, a shampoo set that is hard to find (and it was on sale too) and a couple snacks. This shop is so fun and so cute! In a hot summer day, it started as a good place to get some AC and cool down. Initially I thought I stepped into a grocery store. The aisle filled with refrigerated cold drinks appeared to my right the moment I stepped in. Then the snacks to my left! The further I strolled inside, the more amazed I became. Endless choices of Korean and Japanese cup noodles and the boxes and boxes of plushies, stationeries, and finally skin care and make ups! We had so much fun browsing and admiring the choices of Korean cosmetics and felt slightly disappointed when the sample testers were empty. For sure a cute shop worth stopping by. The staff were super nice and while we were browsing, a girl stopped by and gave us a small pink basket; can't resist. Very fun shop recently opened up in Little Tokyo. Once I stepped inside, I was nearly blinded by all the bright, cheerful colors. Difficult to be depressed in this store. They have an entire area of makeup on the left hand side, which is also right in front of the register. There were a couple ladies shopping in that area. There are three large, open refrigerators stocked with individually bottled drinks on the wall to the right. Past the refrigerators are snacks. There is a huge selection of snacks. They've set up a kiosk with a black chair where you can either take a selfie or photo of someone else for Instagram. It comes with a cute frame around it already. Ready for posting. Can't forget all the gifts! Toys, plushies, miniatures, croc charms, bags, scissors, etc. So many gifts, and a large selection of Sanrio, yet it's not a Sanrio store. There is an entire display of just Sanrio pens, made in Korea, at $3.99 each. Probably not a good idea to bring your kids into the store if you want to be guaranteed not to make a purchase. Staff are friendly, but mostly leave you alone to shop. No high pressure sales, which I prefer when shopping. Parking: I parked on a side street for free and walked here. Ellicor, by its own definition, is a shop that offers snacks and drinks. I would add onto this, they also have a lot of tchotchkes, Asian orientated toys, makeup for women, and a lot of other trinket orientated items. If you're in the Little Tokyo area, and you want a quick drink, this is a great place to walk in and grab it. They actually have a lot of very interesting drinks. So, you'd be sure to find something fun and/or different. Located on 2nd Street, this place is very easy to find. It's especially ideal if you've just walked out of the central Little Tokyo shopping and dining area. Just turn left, walk half a block, and you're there. Once you find the place, you can easily go inside and grab whatever it is you desire: be it a drink, a small snack, or a toy, which would make a great gift. They have some really unique and unexpected items. The shop itself is very clean and much larger than it appears from the outside. The moment you walk in you realize that everything is very well organized and very well maintained. The staff here are all super nice. They can help you out with whatever you need, if you need anything. Overall, if you're in a Little Tokyo and you want a drink, a snack, and/or a toy, this may be your place to go. read more

There's been such a huge boom of these kawaii shops with a mix of Asian make up and beauty, along with character merchandise and goods (Sanrio, San-X, Poke'mon, etc.), as well as of course the giga capitalist consumerism hellscape that is blind boxes. With heavy hitters like Ebisu Life in the 626 (and now in the OC), Fukuya (closer to me), and ShibuyaLA and Takashima being more consistent with sales (also has a reward and point system), I don't think Ellicor fills any "ecological" niche that the others have not. I mean it's nice that Little Tokyo is getting more Asian cosmetic shops since the other one in the Village area is now an anime slop shop, but ShibuyaLA is going to open soon and there are already so many, many blind box and other kawaii goods stores here that this just falls a bit meh to me. The quality and authenticity of some of the goods here are a bit questionable too. And I saw an acrylic puzzle with generic anime AI art, so that's always fun to see before it ends up in a landfill. Staff is posted everywhere to prevent theft, but I'm sure to answer questions too. There's a small photo op inside but a tired mom was using the seat to rest up a bit. As for price point, it's a bit pricier for most things ($15 small plush keychain which I assume is imported in and actually official) and other things are just normal if you compare it to any of the other listed businesses. read more

Ellior is such a whimsical and adorable store. Everything in the store is so cute. Plenty of collectibles and blind boxes. It's a trendy pop market selling Korean and Japanese merchandise like Labubu, HaciPupu, Miku, among other characters and brands along with beauty products. Also plenty of blind boxes to choose from. First time visiting Ellicor on a Saturday night. Plenty of people shopping around and also plenty of people browsing, amused by the merchandise they sell and carry. We stopped by to pick up some blind boxes for our little one. Ellicor carries pretty much every brand you might be looking for. We were able to purchase several items our little one was looking for. We can now add Ellicor to our list of stores to shop for when looking for pop, trendy, Asian brand collectibles and blind boxes. Also, the staff was excellent they were friendly and provided excellent customer service from our interaction with them as soon as we walked in until the end of our purchase. read more

This store was so eye-catching at first glance! The interior was decorated so cutely and I found the products being sold very interesting. Very cool to explore a new store in the area. There's blind box collections based from Asia, lots of Japanese makeup products, and a bunch of other Asian snacks. Needless to say, the space of the store was filled with merch and it was fun scrolling through the place. A guy handed me a shopping basket as I walked in. I spent a pretty good amount of time here exploring the store (it was also larger than I expected when you go around the registers). Very tidy aisles, photo ops and staff on duty to help if you need something. Fast check out service. Parking is hard to find in this area, they have parking structure and street parking. Overall Experience - 9/10 - This was a fun Asian Lifestyle store that originated in the Texas area and finally opening one here in the LA area. I visited the store for their grand opening. The staff members that were helping within the store and for the grand opening were all very nice. The staff tried to answer questions that customers had to the best of their ability. Store - The store was wonderful had a great selection of make-up, home goods, cute blind boxes, labubus, plush chains, house products, and other things. The staff at the store during the grand opening was nice and very attentive when you had to ask questions. The products throughout the store were all very cute and the ambience of the store wsa nice. It had a great selection of whatever anyone wanted especially the asian makeup aisle. The store was also nicely organized that people were able to walk around easily. it was the grand opening so it was a bit crowded, but on a good day people can stroll through it easily. The store also were nicely stocked due to being the grand opening day. Because it was the grand opening, we were able to receive an Ellicor reusable bag and a strawberry plush that was pretty nice. Overall Experience - This would be a fun store to return to if I was in the Little Tokyo area. I would also visit the location near where I lived that they opened in the Westwood area in the 99 Ranch market on the 2nd floor. They did have a nice selection of things that everyone would want. So cute and fun place!! My family and I had a blast checking out all the Japanese toys, snacks/drinks, and neat collectibles. The store was colorful, clean, and there was SO much stuff you don't typically see in stores normally. The employees were nice and it made you feel exciting/fun the entire time you were shopping. My son loved checking out the toy section and the fun picture area they had too! We ended up spending much more time there than we thought we would because there was just so much to look at. The products are super cute and the prices are great. Unfortunately, my shopping experience was really uncomfortable. At first I didn't notice, but I realized an employee was following me around the store and watching me as I shopped. Then, at checkout, the cashier took a picture of the items I purchased. It seemed like she tried to do it discreetly, but it was obvious. I had every intention of paying for my items, so being treated like I was doing something wrong was disappointing. Great store, but seems like they profile you and I've seen the responses that staff is trained to assist customers... OK so assist, greet approach and be friendly and cordial. Don't just follow me and watch me everywhere I turned. makes things 10x worse. read more

I wanted to really like this store unfortunately the service was horrible. A young girl assisted us in checking out. When I asked her for a bag which there was a stack of them available, she rudely said "is that necessary". If a customer purchases an item then yes it's necessary! They were not even reusable. I just went there tonight so I hope the owner can put together who was working and correct the behavior. read more

Just left the store , I was ready to purchase a Japanese baby sunscreen but while trying to pay the oldest worker present in store came up and asked me if "are you going to pay for the thing in purse pochocco pencil case" that was visible in my small Purse. I was confused as to why she said and pulled it out she said "we sell that here" I told her "I bought it at the mall two weeks ago" she then laughed and said "you have receipt " I then literally pulled out a pencil that was clearly used out of the pencil case told her " you see this is mine it's used " she then laughed and said "oh yeah we have the same I am sorry " I was so upset I told the cashier that " I do not want to purchase anything anymore "then left. Please be aware the customer service is awful here the younger girls are busting there butts putting inventory while the older one just following everyone while shopping , I will not be going here ever again , please be cautious I shop at little Tokyo shops weekly and this place is new so I have it a chance NEVER AGAIN read more

Pretty store, but terrible customer service. I showed up at 9:45 and their sign clearly says they close at 10:30. By 10:00, the staff was rushing everyone out, claiming the "system was down." One lady even yelled, "We're closed! They don't see the door closed? What the hell!" -- super unprofessional. If you post 10:30 as closing time, don't treat customers like an inconvenience at 10. read more

Me and my mom went into the store and it was our first time there. She saw a beautiful doll that she wanted, and she asked an employee which doll was what because the dolls were in display cases and so the employee pointed to the boxes the dolls belonged to. The employee told my mom incorrect information about the dolls and when my mom bought the one she wanted it turned out to be a different doll entirely for 15 dollars. The employee was being rude to my mom, from the beginning and after she opened the box and saw it was the entirety different doll she asked the woman if she could exchange it for the one she actually wanted. The woman said no and began blaming my mom saying it was my mom's mistake. My mom wanted to exchange the doll for the one she actually wanted and it cost more money. The woman then called the owner and gave her the employee's side of the story blaming my mom, even saying she opened the box and was rude all around and did not do the exchange even though my mom wanted a more expensive doll. Over all sour experience over something so petty and her attitude was just not right. read more
