Got to try Elli Mochi for the first time and was SO IMPRESSED! Donut was very chewy, exactly how I like it and they did not skimp out on the flavors either. My favorite flavors were the strawberry and ube (fruity ones). I'm glad there's a good mochi donut place in Howard county that can satiate my cravings. I'll definitely be visiting again!
I LOVE Elli Mochi donuts! The flavor selection is amazing and the staff is welcome and kind. The ube one is my absolute fav! The spot is cute, quaint and they also sell corn dogs too!
Great mochi donuts. The mango ones were delicious!! Very nice small donut shop. Good customer service.
I love this place. Really unique flavors. Staff is super friendly and the donuts are my fave in the area. Great to bring to a party as a fun alternative to cake or cookies and share with friends.
The perfect morning treat with a variety of consistent and seasonal flavors and a wonderfully welcoming and friendly staff to match!
summary: cute little corner bakery spot offering desserts and mochi-style donuts. They offer sweet drinks, ice cream, and rotating pastries. The staff was kind as well. details: I tried 3 different types of mochi donuts and they were all delicious. (They were all sweet and rich, so I'd probably say pace yourself if you haven't had mochi donuts before. Mochi is a type of rice flour that is richer than the typical donut dough.) The flavors seem to rotate and they also offer different batch sizes depending on what you're looking for. It's a very cute spot located in the corner of a strip mall. There's not much seating inside if you're trying to dine there.
I wanted to try something different for a birthday "cake" and came upon this spot. It's located at the corner of a small business center. They had a plethora of flavor options for their mochi. I ended up getting a half dozen and each one was delicious. I gifted them to my husband for his birthday and it was hard for him not to eat the whole box lol The mochi donuts were very soft and the perfect sweet treat.
Picked up a dozen for my crew at work- everyone raved about the donuts- best they have ever had!! A littke Picked up a dozen for my crew at work- everyone raved about the donuts- best they have ever had!! A little on the pricey side but worth it for the fresh deliciousness! Staff was quick and friendly - I will be back! Interior is bright and clean and I can't wait to come back for a corn dog!
Popped into the shop couple of hours before they close to grab some after dinner sweets and we were not disappointed. Our favorites were the honey butter and maple drizzle, not a big fan of the blueberry or other fruity flavors, just a personal preference, doesn't mean they are not good. Since all of their mochi donuts are delicious and tasted very buttery. $3.5 for a single donut is not cheap, it gets cheaper the more you buy. The young adults working in the shop were efficient, did not see any smiles on their faces but figured it is towards the end of the day already, that tiredness probably caught up to them. The shop looks fairly clean, with casual atmosphere and it is located in one of the small strip malls near old town Ellicott City, parking can get crowded but still have availability. Elli Mochi Ellicott City Some of the softest and freshest donuts I've had in FOREVER!!! The shop is the cutest and has both inside and outside seating! And the service was great! Delicious! Loved trying these for a little something fancy and more unique. Every flavor was delicious but all very very sweet. Lemon was by far the best. The shop itself is bright and clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
9.30.22 You know it has to be fantastic when my picky husband says it's now one of his favorite desserts and is among the top contenders along with Nothing Bundt Cakes and his general favorite cake, tres leches. I purchased an Original Half Mozzarella, Half Beef and two donuts, Ube for myself and Oreo for my hubby. They offer different coating for the corndog including: Potato, Cheetos, or Ramen. I will definitely try the Potato or Ramen next time. For the donuts I was narrowing it down to Ube, Oreo, Tiramisu, or Pinkholic. Jae said the Ube is like Taro so I went with that since I like Taro. The donuts were light and chewy on the inside and wonderfully flavorful. The corndog was crunchy on the outside and the cheese was nice and gooey. Delicious all around! Jae took my order and was super friendly and helpful. I asked Jae for a knife and fork to cut the corndog and he kindly asked if I wanted him to cut it into slices, which I said yes to. Shortly thereafter, he asked if I wanted to try the honey garlic sauce, which I vaguely recall him saying they just made. It was a thicker consistency and more sweet compared to a honey garlic sauce typically available at standard Korean BBQ restaurants. I am definitely a huge fan and look forward to trying the other flavored donuts.
First time trying Mochi Donuts and I love how they're a gluten free, rice flour option that isn't greasy and feels lighter (and hopefully healthier). The shop itself is very cute and aesthetically pleasing. I love how they incorporate yellow into their exterior design. Personally, I enjoyed the chewy, mochi texture compared to normal donuts. I also enjoyed the variety of unique flavor options. Honestly, I'm not a donut person, but it was nice trying unique flavors and seeing the hype of mochi donuts. Considering I'm not a donut fanatic, I could see myself coming here once in a blue moon for a donut fix. The flavors can be a hit or miss depending on what you're expecting, but still worth the try nonetheless! Flavors Ordered: -Pandan Coconut (not pictured- sugary no pandan taste to me) -Thai Tea (didn't taste Thai tea- tasted chocolate) -Raspberry Cheesecake (liked the cheese element- solid choice) -Strawberry Lemon (alright, not my favorite- wouldn't get again) -Tiramisu -Oreo Cookies and Cream -Birthday Cake -Toasted Coconut (tasty, but could have more coconut flavor) -Peach (best one out of the list- artificial peach taste but good)
My new favorite style of doughnuts! Was close by for work and yelping when I found this hidden gym. Store was empty and clean...the lady working today, was very helpful and patient as I reviewed the menu. The day before I had a Ube Matcha, however here, they had both on the menu, but not an option to purchase together. I explained the drink I was going for and showed the lady a pic and she whipped it right up for me! Ube Matcha with oat milk...10/10 Now to the doughnuts. The Mochi Style doughnuts are so so yummy!!! They remind me of chewy little funnel cakes. I've been on a mission to find these closer ever since and just can't seem to find a spot! But maybe that's a great thing! Hahaaaa!!! Happy Yelping! read more

Cute little place literally tucked in the corner of a shopping center. I can around 4:30 and still had a few options to choose from. The doughnuts I got we were soft flavorful. The gentleman who helped me was very nice. Would go back again. read more

ELLI Mochi I have been wanting to try mochi donuts near where I live since coming back from my trip to Hawaii where these shops are found in abundance. For those who wish to try a lighter, less sweet and lower caloric treat that will still satisfy that sweet tooth, I would highly recommend you try mochi donuts! The main ingredient is made with rice flour so perfect for gluten free restrictions. This shop is a bit hidden in the plaza it is located but worth a visit. The mochi donuts were displayed in an attractive case and there were several flavors to choose from. They are a bit more expensive than a regular donut but the quality of the ingredients comes shining through. They do have a shorter shelf life and it is recommended to eat them on the day of purchase but I placed my donuts in an airtight container and kept them in the refrigerator overnight and they were still delicious to eat the next day. By the way, they also serve corn dogs that come with different coatings along with bubble tea. But I will have to save a review for those treats on another visit. The staff were very helpful and the shop was well lit and clean. They also have a small outdoor area to sit and eat if that is preferred. Parking is easy. read more

A small but bright shop tucked away in EC. It was pretty empty so service was quick, and the employee even brought us our order to the table. I tried the blueberry cream cheese mochi donut. The flavor was good but I didn't get much of a cream cheese flavor. It was soft and chewy as a mochi donut should be, and wasn't oily like some other places I've had it at. My bf got a buldak corn dog and oh boy, it was spicy. Although it was suuuuper spicy and painful after every bite, he couldn't stop eating it. You can either get it with half hot dog half cheese or all cheese. The corn dog is coated with crushed up ramen pieces and doused in the buldak sauce. I wanted to try the ice cream (and thought it would help with the spicy corn dog) so we asked for a sample which wasn't a problem. The soft serve was really good, specifically the mango flavor, so we got a cup. It was a soft sorbet kind of ice cream-- very refreshing and sweet. It paired well with the creamy vanilla flavor. But, I didn't like the vanilla flavor on its own, so I'd only get it as a swirl to complement the mango. They also have a promotion where if you leave a google review, you can get free Korean makeup items. It seemed like mostly The Creme Shop items. read more

Really cute little donut shop and so fresh. The flavors were really good. Shop was small and not full but welcoming and had cute decor. Overall such a fun little treat. read more
I was looking for something else in this plaza and came across this small shop. I ordered some of the corn dog and what a treat. They were fresh and so stuffed with mozzarella. I thought they automatically were filled with hot dog as well, but I think you have to ask. No matter, these were outstanding. read more
Their mango passionfruit tea is great! Very different from other places as they have a sort of pulp at the bottom. Besides that, their Korean corn dogs are also very tasty. I'm not a big fan of sweets, but their mochi donuts were alright too. Staff are friendly and the the space is small, but works out as most people purchase and leave. read more
Yum! Finally stopped in for donuts and was not disappointed. These stay fresh for a few days in the fridge so that was a bonus for ordering a few too many haha! The shape is perfect for sharing too. This dough is light, airy and delicious I can't wait to try more flavors! read more

I love this place! I like getting the big box of 12 and splitting it with people. We usually cut it in halves or quarters and everyone tries different flavors. My kids love it too! You can call and order ahead and they will have it all ready for you to pick up. My favorite is the orea and they put a little pocki stick on top. read more

Mochinut is still brand new to Ellicott city, but they're off to a great start. The staff members are friendly and efficient. They serve Mochi donuts, a variety of hotdogs (that look amazing), bubble teas, and soft serve ice cream. The mochi donuts are delicious and come in a wide variety of flavors. Today I grabbed a half dozen to sample and was thoroughly impressed. I can't wait to come back and try more. Welcome to the neighborhood!! read more

Mochinut's bright yellow sign and cute stickers on their store front of a mochi donut and corn dog will turn any frown upside down :) Right when you walk in, you'll be greeted by a BEAUTIFUL case of colorful mochi donuts. And they aren't just your typical donut... Mochinut is very creative with what they put on top of their donuts! Just look at my pictures below... Where else can you get a mochi donut with a biscoff cookie or a mango chunk on top?! I bought these donuts during the holidays to share with friends, so that's why the box says "Happy Holiday" on it. My favorite was the mangorita-- I've never had a mango mochi donut that tasted like I was biting into an actual mango. It was SO. GOOD. Mochi donuts were still fresh even tho I purchased them in the evening. The staff were nice too :) I'll have to come back to try their bubble tea and corn dogs! read more

It was my first time trying mochi donuts and it's now one of my favorite desserts!! I personally like the cinnamel more than the bubble tea. The cinnamel had the right amount of sweetness in my opinion and I wish I had gotten another one! The bubble tea was a bit too sweet for me but still delicious!! The Korean corn dog was also really good!! I'd definitely come back and get more mochi donuts read more

First time having mochi donuts. We love mochi and donuts so we were hopeful these would be amazing! To me they tasted like a funnel cake dough that was in not hot enough oil. Definitely an oily texture. The oreo topping was decent. I don't think I'd get these again unless there was a flavor I was really excited to try, as these didn't feel worth the price ($7 for two) especially with them not having as much dough as your average donut, with the large empty center. I'm not sure if mochi donuts are normally this oily tasting without much flavor to the dough, but I'm not a fan read more
