Dr. Ellen Im is THE best pediatric dentist we have met. My son has serious trauma and anxiety from previous experiences with other dentists. She is so professional and kind. She was truly amazing with my son. He didn't flinch once and that says a lot. He previously had to be strapped down and even recommended that he go under anesthesia to have his dental work. My 3 boys had missed their 6-month dental checkup earlier this year due to COVID. We finally went to see Dr. Ellen for their cleaning last month. The staff there has always been SO friendly. Dr. Ellen and her dental assistants have always been VERY professional and nice. I am glad that my kids finally got their cleanings done and x-rays taken. When I found out they all had cavities that need treatment (their first time), with everything going on this year, it just added more stress. But Dr. Ellen made it easier for me. She was so good with kids. Her skills were very impressive. And she finished the treatment a lot faster than I expected. During the treatment, she was able to calm the kids by talking/chatting with them. My 3 boys were all very comfortable during their fillings. My youngest one, who is 5 years old, did very well for his crown treatment. He said didn't feel any pain at all and was very happy his cavities got fixed. Both my girls have come here for about a year now and I am about 75% happy with the services we have received. I appreciate the services, but there is a serious issue with timing here. I have waited 40 minutes past our original appointment time which can be incredibly frustrating, especially when waiting for a service that is anxiety-inducing for my child. I have come in before to have a procedure done, had my kid in the chair ready to go, only to sit and wait for 20 min because they didn't have their tools ready. One time, my child was having a minor procedure done and was very nervous, but happy when she sat down. By the time they were ready to do the procedure my kid was in tears and in full on meltdown mode and was inconsolable and it took far longer than it should have to get through it. I am currently sat here with my kiddo whose cleaning was done 30 minutes ago and she is just sat here waiting for the dentist to come and look at her teeth. The lag time is really dragging us down and we are here monthly for ortho check ups so we deal with this monthly. It's egregious at this point. I love the office staff, and Dr. Im is nice enough, but they either need another dentist or to not schedule as many appointments. As all parents know, time is precious. read more

We have been patients here for many years, back when Dr. Baker was practicing. The kids absolutely love Dr. Im. They are very relaxed around her. There is the typical anxiety at first, but her demeanor puts them at ease. The staff is wonderful and well trained in working with children and keeping them calm. The front office staff is friendly and always helpful. Each chair has a popular Disney movie playing which is instrumental in distracting and calming the kids. You will not be disappointed. Our family has been going to Dr. IM's office for three years and both my kids love it there. They're never resistant of going to the dentist and the staff takes such great care of my kids from X-rays, cleanings, check ups and fillings. Quick follow-up to my earlier review: Our son did manage to give up his pacifier the very same night of his first appointment with Dr Ellen. I don't know how she managed to do it, but she was able to convince our son to give up something that he'd steadfastly refused to give up in the nearly two years we'd been trying. However, thanks to the kind and knowlegable staff my young son was made to feel completely welcomed and at ease. Not only do they do a wonderful job in office to cater to spirited children, they also perform their jobs extemely professionally, proficiently, and without the greed associated with many of the other dental offices in the area. They were able to resolve my 5 year old sons many dental issues and send us home with not only with the satisfaction the job was done correctly but also with advice and knowledge to ensure that there wouldn't be any reoccurance of the issues. I was so worried to take my son to the dentist that I dragged his first appointment out for longer than I should have. But his first experience was awesome. I was nervous about today's visit because they needed to take care of 3 cavities, but WOW! Not only am I impressed with my lil girl for her bravery & great spirits, I'm thoroughly in awe of how Dr. Ellen & Megan handled whole process with great compassionate, patience & communication (they verbally discussed each step to help her prepare for different changes in her mouth). Dr. Im's office is fantastic! All the staff are very friendly, professional and go out of their way to make sure your child is comfortable. They have a cute little play area in the waiting room. They give your child a little welcome gift at their first visit and then they get a token at the end of the visit for being brave and get to choose a prize with their token.
