The lounge has an open concept with a decent size bar in the back. it took a while for us to get service. The bartender did not seem interested in working that day. My friend and I ordered our food. The Hennessy wings were very good. However, the eggrolls tasted like hamburger helper. The drinks were not very good and the music playing was very loud that you could barely hear the person next to you.

They are swarming the bar! Management needs to address it. Seriously. We were offered a free cocktail compliments of the Tito's (vodka) rep who was in the building and stayed for that and our previously ordered drinks. Two ladies whom identified themselves as regulars singed praises of the bar and the good times. I DID like the $4 glass of wine happy hour pricing. Everyone, from the bartender, to the cook to all customers was friendly and cool. My friend ordered the Buffalo chicken egg rolls. They were extremely salty, but such a good idea! Look. I get it. You can tell good times are had here. The energy is... well, good vibes! Just ease up on the salt shaker, and get rid of those damn flies! I'll be back to shake my romp (not the salt), with my bug zapper in my purse.

Anyone can have access to the main floor of BasBlue, where there is an INCREDIBLE cafe to get delicious drinks and food from. There is also a ton of seating for you to enjoy your food and drink and to cowork from as well. It is a non-profit organization and just a gloriously safe and intentionally-curated space to foster creativity and amazing vibes. I always feel so at peace and centered when I'm at BasBlue and love to take meetings from here as often as I can! It's located very close to the DIA, but only open during the weekdays. So pay attention to their hours and if you're looking for a great place to work from or are interested in learning more about what a membership here could bring, definitely check BasBlue out!!

This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.

A cozy little den on one side with shelves full of books. They provide comfortable leather chairs and beautiful wood dining tables for your comfort. There's even an old style English phone booth...with a working phone! Friday night is special with a fish fry including chips (ya know, fries) and only an authentic British fish fry would include mushy peas. I like the malt liquor for my fries and sneak a little lemon and tartar sauce on my cod. Head up to the full bar for something cold and wet to wash it all down. They have plenty of room with several tables to accommodate. But you need to hurry, rumor has it they've sold the building to Kenny's liquor shoppe, next door.

The buildling can be easily missed in the evening for the area is not lighted well. Parking and entrance door is in back. So, you order from the bar your food and drinks. They hand you a food ticket. Then, you walk over to the sweet older ladies (in aprons that are running the food from the kitchen window) and hand them your food ticket. They may or may not ask your name so they may call your name or what is in your order when it is ready to pick up. It took about 10 min for our orders to be called. They do not use cod (heaven forbid!), rather large pieces of hake and it is hand-battered. The fish was very tender, delicious, and flavorful. Batter was light and crisp. The dish comes with slaw and bread. We got the mushy peas for the whole cultural experience. We also got the steak pie. It was like a beef potpie without the veggies, packed with steak and gravy in a very tender crust. All were very filling and delish. Besides the fish and chips, a major highlight was how friendly the members were, welcoming us so warmly. The sweet older ladies that served us are the the cutest, charming ladies with their accents. Whenever I ESPECIALLY hear a British accent, I feel like I am in a movie or TV show. It is just slightly surreal. I want them to keep talking to hear how British they are. I am just having my own personal show. Anyway... We will definitely come back.
