This is the course where Arnold Palmer had his famous victorious win and launched his career back in 1954. He had played the senior amateur championship many times before passing away. (With the plated dinner or family style options, the bar does close for an hour during dinner so that the bartenders can help with serving dinner. ) We did family style for our dinner and our guests just raved about the amount of food and the quality of it. My uncle told me he never even picked up a knife to cut his roast beef or chicken - it was so tender he could use his fork for everything! My younger brother (football player) was also estatic that he could order another plate of roasted potatoes just for him! The pool is bustling every summer with children activities and the tennis courts are well-maintained. I'm not a golfer but according to my parents, SCC is one of the top 3 courses in Toledo. The ballroom is home of Sunday brunch and private receptions, the mixed grill on the lower level is for casual dining, and the 19th Hole is bar/lounge reserved for golfers only.
