The golf coarse had 18 holes and offered putput area, as well as a driving range. We usually go off of Florin, but this location was really nice . Staff member FOA was so helpful in guiding us to what was available and giving us tips about the facility. They offer a free small basket when you bring in your ID at the shop so that you can test out some clubs. I am not a golfer but I have been convinced to start because of this location. Haggin Oaks is a hidden gem!

If you wanted to rent them for an 18 whole game, you could rent them for double the price at $30. The clubs here were pretty good where they give you irons from 6 to 9 with a pitching wedge, gap wedge driver and two hybrids of course itself is very straight with a couple par 3's to par 5's. The grass here is maintained with not a lot of dirt or bumpy ground and a great place to practice using all your clubs. I was able to rent a golf cart too which was nice and new compared to other golf carts at other courses. Cons: the price here is not that bad ranging around $50 to 80 depending on how many holes you play. The location of the driving range and the pro shop compared to the first hole is kind of far but the good thing is that there's two different 18 whole courses here one that's beginner and another one that's advanced specifically I played the arcade course, which was the beginner course. Verdict: I highly recommend this place to practice using all your clubs where I had great maintained grass and greens and was in a good location with high-quality rental clubs and golf carts.

One of my lifelong passions is golf-from the moment I picked up a club when I was 17 years old,I…read moreknew an obsession was being born.Along the way,I've had good highs and good lows, like the time I quit the sport for 10 years because I played a round so terrible at the Ridge in Auburn,I lost 18 balls in one round, but that being said I always come back.Im the kind of guy who will go to the driving range 10 times between actually playing a round, practice makes perfect or whatever they say,so I decided I would write a few reviews of some of my favorite driving ranges-I'm starting my series with one driving range that I probably frequent the most or 2nd most,it's one convenient to my home-I'm talking about Leader Golf on El Centro Road in Natomas. Right off the bat-you got to know this place is not fancy-this is the kind of place the serves that golfer who is just beginning-the kind of person who maybe has thought about golf and wants to give it a shot-this is where they head. This driving range is truly a no judgement zone,so many beginners,so many people there who this may be the 1st time they ever held a golf club-I love that about this place, you never know who your going to see here,it can be someone like me who has been playing golf for over 30 years or literally a kid or teenager or woman's group or older person who has never touched a club before-your going to see all types of people, every age, every skill level and it's great. This place has zero dress code-not that all golf course do but some places you can really standout if u show up in gym shorts and a tank top-but not here-anything goes and nobody will give u a 2nd look if u have no clue what your doing. The place has a few cool features that I enjoy-it has a putting area so you can go out there and work on your putting at zero cost.It has a very good short game area where one can work on their short game but it does cost $7 an hour to get access to that area. This place does have ample parking so that should never be a problem, there is a pro shop on premises as well-Inside your able to buy range tokens which you use to get range balls to use on the range.Prices range from $7 for a small bucket(40 balls) to $24 for a "Leader" bucket which is 200 balls. What I do is buy the Leader bucket for $24 and they give you 5 tokens for 40 balls each and then I spread out their usage over multiple visits since 40 balls is more than enough for a driving range session, which brings the cost down to under $5 a bucket-a very very good price for a small bucket. The pro shop also sells beers and sodas and snacks along with just about any other golf accessory you could possibly need from driving range tees to full on brand new golf sets-it's a decent shop-gets the job done. The gentleman who owns the range also works the shop-he is an amazingly kind man,he is a little rough around the edges when you first meet him but once you get to know him,he is the best-super helpful and chatty-he is truly an asset to this location. Overall what I will say about this place is this-if you have ever had the idea that maybe you have an interest in golf and want to go to a judgement free spot where you can try it out-this is your place. If you want a no frills spot to go and work on your game-this is your place. If you want a spot you and your friends can meet and chill and maybe throw back a beer or two while doing something somewhat active-this is your place. So do yourself a favor and head on out to Leader Golf and give this amazing game a chance-it just might start a lifelong obsession-see ya out there. The only thing missing is a water station. If the owner sees this please consider a water station with still and bubbly water. Hehe. Some splashes of fruit would be nice too!! Last but not least maybe some instrumental background music. Not too loud but just enough to catch it here and there. Oh. Wait one more thing. I saw two groups bring the kiddos. In that time, I've trained all over the country and experienced a wide range of schools--but Waza BJJ stands out in every way. The owner, Derek Damano, is the real deal. He earned his black belt in 2006 from world champion Casio Werneck, and it shows in every class he teaches. On top of that, Derek is a Division 1 wrestler and has placed at multiple world-level international BJJ competitions. He's an elite athlete with an unparalleled depth of knowledge in grappling, both gi and no-gi, and one of the most well-rounded instructors you'll ever meet. Waza is home to a strong team of high-level black belts, and every assistant instructor brings their own flavor of excellence. The kids program is flourishing--the coaches are amazing, and the kids absolutely love being there. The environment is welcoming, structured, and fun. Beyond the instruction, the vibe at Waza is something special. Derek himself is probably one of the coolest guys in Jiu-Jitsu--laid-back, calm, funny, and just genuinely great to be around. He sets the tone for the entire academy. The facility is gorgeous--huge mat space, multiple bathrooms and changing areas, a clean waiting area for families, a kids' zone, and even a small cardio corner with machines for a quick workouts. Whether you're brand new to Jiu-Jitsu, looking for an amazing program for your kids, or already a black belt looking to sharpen your game, Waza BJJ is one of the best places you'll ever train. I personally love this place.

You can get a better rate if you do a bigger package. Who is Patrick best for? In my opinion, Patrick will give the best bang for buck for someone who already has a gameable swing (scoring in the 80s to 100s), has decent body awareness, and is looking for an instructor who will notice the small details that are costing a player 5-10 strokes a round. Read the reviews already here and most of them are from people who have already been playing for some time. After a single lesson, I can already tell Patrick's attention to detail is superb. The day after my lesson (I generally have wavered between a high single digit and low double digit index), I shot +3 through 11 from the back tees. Getting to a 5 index this year seems realistic now. If you're completely new to golf, you can find cheaper instructors who will give you a basic understanding of the swing. They will generally all tell you the same thing, and it will likely take you some time to get your body used to the golf swing. Once you feel like you can make contact on 8/10 balls at the range on a consistent basis, or are scoring in about the 110s, then come in to Patrick to really mold your swing. For the love of God though, do not try to coach yourself through YouTube.

I've had awkward lessons in the past from other coaches who it was just a bad pairing. But my work with Patrick has been encouraging, helpful, clear and understandable, and repeatable. For a full understanding, I've been playing off and on for 30 years. Been as low as an 11 index, but had laid off the game entirely for about 10 years. Getting back into the game in my early 60's means I have rust and physical limitations I didn't used to have. Patrick has been great at identifying the fundamental gaps I'd been playing with for, well, decades. Then showing me what needs to be changed, and providing repeatable exercises that I can put into practice to slowly build new habits. Another thing - like a lot of us, my head can be full of all sorts of swing thoughts and YouTube advice LOL Patrick has been great at encouraging me to clear the mind of all the confusing, contradictory swirl in my head and swing free. And to play golf, not play golf swing. Bottom line - yes, I've gained distance, consistency. I sort of figured any coach will be able to have positive results if I'm willing to incorporate what they teach. But what has been great is getting clear bite-sized chunks that is making the game more simple and enjoyable. My recommendation is consider Patrick as a good option as you begin to choose who you want to improve your game with.
