Tarah from Beachcombers gave up time out of her Thanksgiving morning to get the house ready and let us check-in early. The house was incredible but this review is for Tarah and Beachcombers. Unbelievable customer service! Our next beach vacation rental will start by looking at their available homes because you never know how important the Property Management company is until you need them.

It was indeed the center point of the town due to everything was super close. (Its like if it was.... planned. Nah. Lol) So why wait? Make it a goal to rent from this place cuz you deserve a rest you magnificent unicorn of the forest of trunks! P.S: Dont drink a Sprite bottle that has been in the bathroom for 3 days.     Agree with the 1-star reviews of this Realty and of their agent Jackie Weber. As stated, she's…read moresweet and all smiles until the contract is signed. Then, she does absolutely nothing. Never one update in the months my property was on the market. When phoned, she is very rude. It's clear, her client is bothering her. Her manager knows about her but does nothing/thinks it's amusing. I complained to Windermere Corporate who seemed shocked at first but, again, did nothing. They referred their offended client back to the 'franchise' owner who remains silent. Interesting that Windermere Corporate is unconcerned that a franchise licensed to use their name would disparage that name without consequence. Summary: there is something fundamentally wrong with this Realty and certainly with an agent who is reviewed by this many people in the same negative terms. And yet nothing is done to correct her disgraceful behavior. Remember, you do have choice of Realty firms! Windermere is a never again for me!!!

    I don't think I will ever stay with Meredith lodging again because they are not that hospitable or…read moreoffer compensation for bad experiences they seem to apologize, but don't offer any extra service services or a late checkout or had amenities just even simple little coffee, pods or something in the kitchen not personal at all so I will not rent from any more corporations or companies I will stick to the Mom and pop shops of Airbnb's because they believe in making someone have a more personal experience and Curated stay rather than just have your necessities and minimal things that you need for a stay and our place that we stayed in April 24-26. I had to remake a whole entire bed in one of the rooms because it was covered in animal hair so there was no double check or cleanliness check. I don't think in that room. It was totally obvious as soon as I started to rearrange the pillows on the bed I noticed all the dog hair all over and I had to rewash my sheets. They did bring sheets to us later, but still that's not what I wanted to do as soon as I already paid a $30 fee to get us in one hour earlier, which I've never really heard of and if you rent Airbnb from him, mom and Pop, then I don't think that they would've done that either. It's all about money to corporation so if you want to not experience a personal stay, do not stay with Meredith lodging

After booking, we were informed of a strict 10:00 PM hot tub curfew that was not clearly disclosed in the listing prior to payment. When we reached out for clarification, the response from the host was dismissive and unwilling to work toward any reasonable compromise or resolution. To be clear, our family was not looking to host parties or be disruptive. We simply wanted to enjoy the hot tub quietly after spending the day caring for toddlers and family activities. Responsible adults should not automatically be treated as if they are going to create problems. What made the experience even more frustrating was the inconsistent explanation provided afterward. We were told the hot tub was for "day use only," yet nowhere in the listing did it clearly define specific usage hours before booking. Had these restrictions been clearly and transparently disclosed upfront, we would have chosen a different property that better fit our family's needs. Customer service and clear communication matter, especially when families are spending significant money on accommodations. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling misled and disappointed.

There…read moreare hundreds of places to choose from once we narrowed our search to Cannon Beach and photos and descriptions on the internet only give part of the story. So a number of months ago, my mother started the process of finding just the right place for our family gathering. She gave this rental agency very high marks and we ended up renting through them. They absolutely went the extra mile and since we were booking so far in advance, gave us a map and let us tour a few properties that weren't currently occupied. You start to notice things not on the rental listing, like parking issues, construction next door and is the view as good as it seems... Once you saw the options in person, the choice was clear. The actual stay went very smoothly and everything they promised was delivered. I would definitely use them again for another getaway to Cannon Beach.

In the middle of the pandemic we arrived for a week long rental to find that despite claiming extensive cleaning between guests we arrived to find the home had not been thoroughly cleaned. Their solution was to bring us cleaning supplies to clean the unit ourselves. I believe they did give us some credit on the cleaning fee however if I wanted to clean a home while on vacation I would have stayed home and cleaned mine and not paid to clean someone else's. This year we rented the same house, and I have to say that the house is lovely, is fully stocked, is one house from the beach but still has a beautiful view. It is on a busy dead end with lots of traffic. Unfortunately we have had a number of issues this visit. First, due to several large and unexpected expenses prior to our trip I had asked their staff member John to hold off on my final payment until payday. John agreed and provided this agreement in writing, however the company took the payment on the original date anyways. They did correct it, but over 6 days later even though Kathy had promised it would be fixed the following morning after I contacted them. Arriving at our rental we find that there is construction being done next door. We have had to listen to hammering and sawing and drilling and whatever else is going on over there the entire visit. CBVR didn't find it necessary to notify us. They claimed to have not known about the construction. Despite having rented from CBVR before, and have always brought a service animal with me (PTSD dog due to being a felony crime victim), they seem to suddenly have an issue with this. Today is day 6 of my rental and this morning a neighbor had their dog off leash and when I asked them to hold onto their dog so that it wouldn't approach us the neighbor became upset about it. Not long after I received a phone call from Kathy at CBVR who reported that they "had noticed" that I had a dog at the unit and had not paid the pet fee. I reminded Kathy that I have always had a service animal since I began renting from them and that service animals don't require fees. When asked how she "noticed" my service animal she reported that she had been driving by and had seen him. Pretty odd since we are on a dead end and she would have had to specifically come down to the end of the road... but just to spy on us. She claims that she drives by ALL of their rentals Finding this to be quite strange I asked her to tell me what my dog looked like. She stated that it was a rottweiler or a pitbull (it is neither) but that she didn't really know her breeds, which was understandable. I then asked her to tell me the color of my dog and she said black and brown, but my dog is white and tan. Since she obviously had not seen my dog I asked her how they did not know about the construction seeing as she drives by all their units. At this point she placed me on hold and after a few minutes came back to say that she wasn't going to answer any more questions. This is because she/they are obviously dishonest. Harassing people with disabilities is so 1960s, Kathy. I cannot in good faith recommend this rental company any longer.
