HORRIBLE customer service. I called to inquire what my home owners would cover with a home issue…read morewe had. The female agent that answered the phone would not give me a straight, definitive answer. I asked her to look into this matter further with the parent company and she instead tried to talk me into just paying a large bill out of pocket since my premium would go up. I had to push and advocate for myself just to get the information I needed. I was so upset when I got off the phone on top of already being upset with a large unexpected home bill. PLEASE don't use this company. I went that afternoon and switched to a different, much more reliable home owners insurance company. I can't encourage others enough to be cautious if using this company. -Joe, to follow up with your comment: I have spoken to Lisa out of the Wentworth office. This was much more than trying to advise me about rates. Lisa has my number and I would absolutely welcome a phone call to follow up. I truly had to advocate for myself due to an employee who seemed to be bothered that I asked her to do her job. Again, I look forward to a follow-up call.

I was also looking to change my insurer after a previous bad experience. Not only did I switch over to Nationwide for my home and car with Carolyn, but she took the time to show me the details of how insurance operate and rates are calculated. More than anything, Carolyn seemed focused on helping each customer as an individual instead of just another customer or number. Unfortunately, this means that it can be a bit difficult to get some one on one time with her. Luckily, I remembered a lot of her advice and it REALLY saved me much later when I had a seemingly minor car accident, but suffered a back injury which has laid me up, unable to work. I had temporarily raised the Medical Payments limit on my car insurance previously, based on Carolyn's advice from years before, and I am so glad that I forgot to lower it as it helped relieve almost ALL of the financial burden arising from my accident. My 1 week hospital stay was over $22k alone and I am now waiting to have surgery! Thank you Carolyn Berry!
