Other facials I have received have always felt a bit "going through the motions" at various points or throughout all of the facial. With Michele, her passion for esthetics and her client's needs are so evident not in how she talks, but in every part of each service. I have had my eyebrows waxed and tinted by Michele. I was so nervous about the color being too dark, and she listened to me, explained what she was doing the entire time, and then showed me right away. They were perfect. The facial I received from Michele truly (as I said above) was life changing for me in the way I care for my skin. Michele treated my skin as it were gold - slowing down, assessing its needs, using the best products - and it changed my skin regimen completely. For those looking for a LOT more detail: I moved to the city awhile back and didn't have the time to keep driving an hour to my former lash technician that I'd been going to for almost 3 years. I'm really picky about my lashes and was kind of disappointed I had to find somewhere new, so looking for the right place was not easy. I tried a few places within walking/transit distance of my place-- didn't have any particular issue with any of these experiences, just didn't love any of them either-- and finally tried out Lash Lash Mama in April. I'm absolutely obsessed. Again, the prices are super affordable and I haven't seen any places that can beat them. BUT the competitive prices are NOT an indication of poor quality or service and I leave my appointment with gorgeous lashes every single time. I've been booking with Veronica, the business owner, and she's absolutely wonderful. A few other things that make this place stand out: - Parking: LLM is located in a more residential area, so there's plenty of street parking right out front. Never had an issue finding a place to put my car. - Local/Small Business: I appreciate that LLM is a local, Latina-owned business! I love that I can get great service, build a personalized business/client relationship, and also support a local business all at the same time. - Styling/Service: Their customer service is outstanding. So, most cosmetic related appointments I go to (hair, nails, lashes, etc) are very... awkward? A lot of lash appointments I've had in the past are dead silent, sometimes with very quiet music, sometimes with no music at all. I suppose it can be peaceful, but it gets a bit strange when you're lying down, getting your lashes filled for an hour or more and nobody (not even the employees) in the entire room says a word, and you can basically hear the breathing of the other clients next to you the whole time. LLM is not like this. It's still very peaceful and relaxing (I've found myself napping a few times during fills) but it's so wonderful to be around lash technicians and staff who seem to be genuinely happy to be there. Every time I come in, Veronica and the other gals there are so sweet, professional, friendly, and fun. LLM really goes above and beyond-- one time I was really busy and could NOT find the time to come in for an emergency fill, so Veronica went out of her way to book me wicked early in the morning (before LLM even opens!) and brought me an iced coffee, just because. Lash Lash Mama for life Ironically, with the traffic and my general location, it still sometimes takes me about 45 minutes to 1 hour to get to LLM, so my original goal of finding a place nearby kind of fell apart, LOL. Take this as a testament to how great their services are! I go out of my way to drive to LLM despite there being plenty of more convenient options only a block or two away from me.
