Our dog was a mixed breed Sato rescue from the SPCA, which was a wonderful experience. My dog before that was a mixed breed rescue as well. Our application was never denied. In fact, we were approved for an aged 6 month + adoption and I have the evidence from attending an adoption fair. It was after that fair, that achieving any follow up was very difficult, though I eventually did receive an email after many attempts. I gather the respondent confused me with a different applicant. I know there is a lot of good work done there and the dogs look great, it was just difficult to communicate so we moved on.

They IMMEDIATELY rejected her application, stating that their policy is against all boundary training. All dogs should be boundary trained, because god-forbid they get out of their harness, or sneak out the door when it is opened for guests, and they know how to obey a basic boundary command such "heal" or "place" or "to me". It's absolutely insane to think a rescue would be against this training, especially when trying to rescue stray dogs. That's a farce of a company, and they are falsely advocating that they have dog's best interests in mind. Every dog should know where their home is and who it's with, and how to stay near. It's disgusting that they would reject incredibly caring rescue dog people for wanting to include boundary training in the abundance of training my family goes above and beyond with to ensure their rescue dogs stay safely with them and to ensure they lead the most comfortable life. Then once informed of how they exactly plan to train them, and included videos on previous training successes, my family was immediately responded to with a hostile email saying that they refuse to process their application. No research into what my family does, how well they have loved and taken care of all the rescue dogs they've ever had. Just ridiculous and honestly extremely sad. Sad and heartbreaking that they would reject kind people and a loving home for any of these babies just wanted to finally find their furever family. I hope they reevaluate how they respond to people and how they make these policies that keep good families from adding these amazing pups to their home, and get these dogs into the best care.

Pretty disappointed with this groomer. Had one grooming appointment that went okay - they charged a…read morematting fee though I said we could shave the dog down a bit more for the summer. I gave the benefit of the doubt, assuming they felt it wouldn't look good shaved (and that the dog was as matted as they said, as she looked similar to how she always looks when she's due for her haircut) The bigger annoyance is that I showed up for her 2nd appointment and was told it was never entered into the system. When I called to schedule it, they even commented on how her "regular" groomer was out but that they could put us with someone else that day. I guess after that back and forth, they just never entered it into their system, and now my dog is going to look like a rejected Muppet until I can find her an emergency cut at a new place. I'd be hopeful this was an isolated incident, but there was no accommodation made to try and fix the situation, so I won't be around as a customer to see if my experience would have been better in the future.

She took my dog within 1 hour of returning my call. Mia was very professional, along with her staff. She was very familiar with Pomeranians and how they should be groomed. She discussed how I wanted him cut so we were both on the same page. There were hundreds of pictures on the wall of all kinds of dogs that were groomed. I mentioned my Pomeranian is 15 years old and didn't want him stressed. Mia took great care with my boy and from the start to finish he was done in 2 hours. My dog Max was so happy! Paws About LLC did a wonderful job grooming him and my dog wasn't stressed. This groomer is located across the street from the Old King George Inn and in the same strip mall with The Clipper Club Hair Salon and Vested Interest Consignment Shop. You will need to pull around the back of the building. They are on the lower level. I saw several dogs leaving and each one was professionally groomed and the dogs left happy. I would definitely recommend this local groomer in Warren, NJ.
