She was professional, caring, and provided great service. The only issue I have is with the lady at the front desk, whose name I believe is Lorena. She came across as very rude, although that may simply be her personality. Unfortunately, I had two separate interactions with her within the past week, and both left me with the same impression. On another occasion, I brought my son in after he was hit in the face with a basketball and busted his lip. I called ahead to ask about the wait time and explained the situation. Lorena told me that if he needed to be seen, I would need to come in and wait. I understand that wait times can change, but I simply asked whether there were a lot of people waiting at that time so I could make an informed decision about whether to come in immediately or consider my options. She told me that she would not provide that information and repeated that I would need to come in and wait if he needed to be seen. I want to emphasize that the medical care and service I received were great. My concern is specifically with the customer service and friendliness at the front desk. A little more patience, kindness, and willingness to communicate would make a big difference. I will absolutely return if I need to, because I was pleased with the care provided. However, first impressions matter, and for some people, that first interaction can be the lasting impression of a facility. I was unable to gain access, even though I had previously registered in the system. There was nothing in the initial message or follow-up messages that indicated service would be denied if I did not fill out the electronic forms. I went to the office on the scheduled day and was told that I needed to go online fill out the registration forms. The receptionist sent me a new link, which never worked. I asked for paper forms, and she told me they were no longer using paper forms. The office manager informed me that it was a company decision, that it did not make sense to her, but that she could not let me see the doctor if I did not fill out the electronic forms. They did not have any tablets on hand for people whose devices would not connect to their network. We walked out of the office without seeing a doctor because my device would not access their server. There is no world in which that makes sense, especially in a professional healthcare network where the patient's care should always take priority. Dr. Kuo is a great doctor, it is difficult for me to believe he knows about this type of screening. My issue is with the medical group.

They went out of their way to help her maintain her dignity, and never once dismissed what she had to say, even when she was a little whack-a-doodle. They adjusted to whatever was best for her! I'm talking to you, Christine, Corrine and Aiden! You and your crew made my mama smile and laugh through the terribles and for that I am forever a fan. The team at TMC Rincon are to be commended for doing their jobs with heart! Oh and this is a brand new facility. The ER was timely and thorough; the place is beautiful; and the room had a couch that converts into an actual BED for me to stay with her! And they have done away with the big beeping monitor system that always drives both patients and families crazy. She had a mini monitor "pack" that sends the feed to a central monitoring location which alerts the staff in the actual hospital if there an issue. This frees the nurses to do real patient care, instead of constantly responding to unimportant beeps and buzzes. I think they have really managed to create a different hospital experience for patients and families alike. I am very pleased, impressed and grateful.

I ended up having surgery but my nurses all did amazing at making me comfortable and providing me with the care I needed. Would recommend to anyone!
