It was an overly spicy " brown colored" sauce. My wife wasn't happy and she barely touched her meal. Totally ruin her night. I told her to order another meal, but she was in a bad mood at that point and didn't want to eat anymore. I told her to send it back, but she said forget it. I took the chicken cacciatore home and I ate it the next night. I have to say being in half Italian myself the chicken cacciatore sauce is terrible.( way too spicy, saturated with hot pepper Why wasn't it made with a standard red sauce? Is that brown sauce recipe the standard sauce uses for chicken cacciatore? I wondering if that night did Tomatoes have a stand-in short order cook preparing a chicken cacciatore meals. I think in the future , servers need to tell future customers who might order the chicken cacciatore meal that is not nade with standard Italian red sauce to avoid future customer disappointments.
