Unethical and Negligent Valet Service - A Serious Security and Consumer Concern…read more
I utilized Emperor's Valet service at a Grammys after-party and experienced a series of unacceptable and legally concerning incidents. This valet company negligently lost my car keys, left my vehicle unlocked while parked on the street, after I was informed it was safely parked in a secured parking lot.
My car was not parked in a safe and secure lot, in fact, it was parked far away from the venue; my doors were left unlocked, unsecured and exposed to potential theft overnight, and the passenger door was left damaged. Additionally, I later discovered that valet attendants had rummaged through my vehicle without authorization, constituting a clear invasion of privacy.
Ceasar Perla, the head of valet, and his team charged me and apparently each vehicle, $40 for valet services that night only to lose my keys rendering me homeless and car-less for the night.
Due to Emperor's Valet's supreme negligence and failure to return my keys, I was left stranded overnight. My house keys were attached to my car keys so I was completely locked out of my home, leaving me in a vulnerable and unsafe situation in the middle of the night.
This incident caused me extreme anxiety, stress, discomfort and heightened security concerns, knowing that my personal property was and home could have been compromised. Duplicates of my keys could have made and since the valet guys rummaged through my car and could have retrieved my personal information from documents in my glove box.
The owner of the valet company, Ceasar Perla, initially admitted fault and agreed to cover all expenses related to the key and lock replacements for my car any and any damages or costs incurred by this incident (which I have documented videos and text messages). However, after I submitted the necessary invoices to Ceasar, all communication ceased from him. He went mute. He stop responding to my calls and texts. After I submitted the estimates from the dealership, Ceasar conveniently informed me that my keys had been found inside another person's vehicle that was valet parked by his company --long after I had incurred significant expenses and distress. Even when he returned the keys they were null and void because the locksmith had already changed the locks for home and my car was in the process of receiving new locks and keys as well.
This ordeal resulted in financial losses, missed work obligations, and my child's absence from school, all due to the company's gross negligence. Additionally, when I requested access to the company's official website, the owner provided a non-functional link, raising further doubts about the legitimacy of their business.
This deceptive and negligent business practice of this valet company raises serious concerns about the integrity of this company's operations.
This valet service engaged in negligent, deceptive and unethical practices that not only caused financial and emotional distress but also posed serious security risks for my daughter and me. I strongly advise against entrusting this company with your vehicle.
