You don't feel rushed. In fact, I dozed off during the session! She makes the treatment relaxing and her touch is gentle. She explains what she is doing but also provides quiet time. Her products were soothing and hydrating for my skin. There is no aggressive upsell at the end but she does give you a list of products. It is the perfect balance of pampering and education in the session. Kim is a wealth of information. I have been looking for an esthetician in the area. The search is over. Go see Kim!

WARNING: Nouveau Derm Medispa ruined my life!!! For over a year, my life has been a revolving door…read moreof doctors, specialists, and emergency rooms. I am now disfigured and scarred. This is all because I received filler injections at the Nouveau Derm Spa in January 2020. A well-known and respected plastic surgeon, an MD dermatologist, and an MD infectious disease specialist all agree that the injection was not done correctly on right side of my face. Sadly, it was only after the damage was done that, I learned about Dr. Windt's reputation. Several doctors expressed exasperation when I told them what happened. Those physicians said that Dr. Windt was kicked out of Exeter Hospital, so he then reinvented himself as an allergy specialist and opened a Spa office for his daughter in the same building as his allergy office, NouveauDerm Medspa in North Hampton. In January 2020, it started with filler injections I received at Nouveau Derm Spa. I had bruising from the injections which continued for a week, then after 8-9 days my face started to swell so I went to Urgent Care because it was a Sunday, where they put me on antibiotics and said I need to go see Dr. Windt. Owner & Physician at the Spa, in the morning. Dr. Windt said he didn't really see any problem and that it was just allergies. He refused to take any blame and told me to take probiotics. In February/March I struggled with the side of my face drooping, my PCP called it Bell's Palsy and I was put on prednisone. Without the prednisone my face would swell right up making me look like a monster. In April, I still had Bell's Palsy and swelling, but now a very large lump had formed to the side and just below my eye. The nurse said that the normal pathways of drainage in that side of my face had been disrupted, resulting in the selling and drooping. In July it the same thing but now a large red blotch is appearing on my face. The swelling and drooping still comes and goes about 2-3 x's a month and are swollen for about a week. To this day, there is still swelling and drooping but now there is a large red scar. Friends recoil in horror when they see me and ask "what happened to you"! Nobody at NoveauDerm every contacted me to see how I was doing or showed any compassion for what they did to me.

I can't say enough good things about my experiences at Gennie Grady. And in my opinion, the price…read morefor a facial is very reasonable! I've been to see Gennie for two facials so far, and am looking forward to my next one. After my first one, I thought the money was well spent on the extraction portion alone - at other places, it seems they pull three or four, but Gennie gets it all. The facial is the usual layout - wash, steam, extract, then she uses this fancy tool that reminds me of a bug zapper - much better than it sounds - and then you know, I fall asleep shortly after the shoulder massage.... The spa also carries Gennie's own line of skin care, however no one has ever tried to push it on me - I do hate that. Instead, Gennie has made several easy suggestions for skincare that have really made a difference.

I just had my first appointment at Aviva this morning and I already can't recommend it enough…read more I'm from the area originally but live in NYC and am visiting my parents in NH. My eyebrows were long overdue for a touch up. I haven't waxed them in years as I have been having them threaded in New York for a long time now. I quickly realized threading services certainly aren't as common in NH/ME so I started looking for viable waxing services and that's what led me to Aviva. Alisha was so warm and accommodating immediately, and the space is beautiful, clean and calming. Alisha and I chatted throughout my waxing and she's incredibly friendly, interesting and kind while not getting distracted from giving me truly impeccable eyebrows. She was gentle and meticulous and made sure I knew what she was doing and was ok with the direction she was taking with shaping my brows the entire time, which I really appreciated. I have naturally very thick dark eyebrows and they really do make such a difference on my face depending on the shape so I'm particular. Everything was perfect, virtually pain free. I will definitely come back here anytime I'm in the area and will absolutely be recommending to all of my friends nearby. Not only does she make everyone who sits in her chair look and feel gorgeous, she's a warm, calm and fun person to have around as you're getting ready. Before your wedding day even comes you get to visit her for a makeup trial, where we spent over an hour playing with different levels of color and intensity and by the time I left I felt amazing. I brought my mom with me for a second opinion and she made it so fun for the both of us. She worked seamlessly with our planner, hair stylist and photographer, and was always 3 steps ahead with the best outcomes in mind throughout the day. A small example of many: my fiance and I were planning to exchange gifts, and knowing I'd likely cry while opening mine she held off on applying any eye makeup that could possibly run until after we opened them. She was right - I cried, and the photos still looked great. In fact my makeup looked just as great at the end of the night as it did when she first applied it, thanks to her airbrushing magic and other products she uses to fix everything in place. Other appreciated things: she tucked blotting papers and a two tubes of lip color into my clutch, and left all my girls with a wand of their respective lip colors for touch ups as well. She did some light makeup on my groom that you couldn't notice in person but made our pictures look even better. She took pictures throughout my makeup application to check for anything that would show up funky on camera as we went. And for a nominal fee she'll stick around to touch you up one more time before you head down the aisle, something I especially appreciated since we did a first look and it was tearful. Do yourself a favor and call Joanne - and don't listen to wedding magazine timelines that tell you to wait until 3-6 months beforehand to do it either. She books up super fast.
