I filled out a service request message from the window on the listing page, and while I heard from the four places Yelp also sent my request to, (three of which were garages, and I needed a mobile mechanic), I didn't hear from Rj. So the next day, I called directly, and left a voice message, yet now, a week later, I still have not heard back. If he was too busy to deal with me, a phone call would've been nice... I ended up calling another mechanic, left a message, was responded to five minutes later, and he took care of finding and picking up a new battery, and installed it, at a much lower cost than any of the other places. So, it ended well, although I did have to shell out about $60 for Lyft drivers, on that first day...

Update! Kevin contacted me, via text after reading the…read morereview, asking that I take the review down and allow him an opportunity to come back out and look at the vehicle, free of charge. Kevin shared that he was at risk of losing his job and was a lead tech, although listed as the owner. 'Management' also contacted and asked that I take the review down and offered to refund the labor. At this point (2 days later) I had already taken the vehicle to the Toyota dealer, as his 'management' advised the vehicle was complex and initially declined looking at the vehicle without another charge. Toyota Diagnosis: improper fitting and installed spark plugs. Cost: 98$ inspection- which was deducted from repair cost. Repair cost total, including one day vehicle rental, 468.79$. I reached back out to Kevin and 'Management', via text and email, three consecutive days- excluding Sunday, explaining the outcome and requesting a partial refund (spark plugs, diagnosis, and labor). I have not received a response and am now seeking civil action. Receipts attached. Again, the purpose of this review is to bring awareness.

They ran a $100 diagnostic on it which they insisted was necessary to determine anything about my car. When the diagnostic didn't show anything wrong with the car, they scratched their heads, reset the computer and told me to drive it around for a while before I got another emissions test. Well, the check engine light came on, so I took it to a mechanic I trusted. I had used Alpha & Omega before and they did good work on my radiator for an honest price and in efficient time. This time they searched the emissions test failure code on the internet, took a five minute look over the car and told me my TPS sensor was malfunctioning. The part only cost $95, so it was less than the diagnostic from the other guys! The part was immediately ordered and my car was back on the road in about three hours!

If I could give 6 stars, I would…read more I had a mobile dent repair guy attempt to fix scratches someone left on my new car on the bumper and grill and he used matte black (my car is gloss black) when he told me he had the correct paint color... He also broke the bumper clips that ended up being unsalvageable according to Bobby (owner of Platinum). He got overspray everywhere and broke parts that shouldn't have needed to be replaced. So an absolute waste of $500 on top of making the car look worse than it did before he touched it. I have been looking at getting it fixed for some time now and I came across Platinum Collision Repair and saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. When I arrived I saw a bunch of cars in the shop that looked pretty much brand new so I knew I was in probably in good hands. I was instantly greeted by the owner and I showed him the damage. He gave me a free quote within 3 mins of me being there. I took some time to see if I wanted to wait a few months or do it now but after seeing person after person come to drop off their car within 5 mins of me trying to make a decision in the parking lot, I felt that was all the convincing I needed, so I got him to go ahead and do it. I dropped the car off 7-25 (Saturday afternoon) and it was done 7-29(Wednesday morning). He told me Thursday just to be safe and I get a call on Wednesday morning at 9am that it's ready. That's including them ordering a new grill, new bumper and painting. They are closed Sundays and I brought it later in the afternoon on Saturday so really it only took them 3ish days to order the parts, do all the necessary repairs to other parts not being replaced, paint the car and they even washed it for me! These guys at Platinum killed it and the owner Bobby was seriously so helpful and did his best to get me right after getting screwed over and save me as much money as possible. He even buffed the overspray off my headlight for me and it looks like a brand new headlight now. The car now looks like how it looked when it came off the delivery truck a year ago. They did the job for so cheap too! Can't recommend them enough... so much so that my mom is asking me what's the address and telling me she doesn't care that it's over an hour and a half away from her after seeing the results lol. Thank you Bobby & Platinum Collision Repair Crew!

However, the tech could not finish the job as he had another appointment and promised to come back the next day to finish. You see, I was told their technicians are not allowed to ring doorbells and they advise when the tech is on property. I was working and not on my phone as I mentioned, so how would I know he was here. I was told I had to pay a cancellation fee of $40.00, but I had not cancelled the appointment! I did not know he was here waiting for me to acknowledge him when no one called or rang the doorbell. Lastly, because I had paid, the tech returned later in the day to put my car back the way he found it, however the new gear shifter, still not working! Unbelievable!
