Mike had the car shined up and ready to go as promised. He received his payment in full from the ins. co. and I paid him my copay directly when I retrieved the car. This was a $3,000.00 job... let's say ballpark as it was years back. A week or so later I was approaching my car and the sun caught it just right. Unbelievably I could see where Mike did not touch the bodywork he just camouflaged the damage by buffing out the paint. I contacted the insurance adjuster who assessed the damage originally. The adjuster was kind enough to look at the car again after I questioned if a portion of the work had been done at all. After looking at my car again my suspicions were confirmed. I contacted Mike and called his bluff. He reimbursed me the money for the portion of work where he had cheated me. I believe it was $400-500. Because I was local and a single mother, I told Mike that if he reimbursed me I would not report him to the BBB. All these years I kept my word. Years later I am free to leave a truthful review so Beware of Mike's Auto. This business is not trustworthy!

Warning!!!! Don't buy a car from Mark Perry at RK Auto Body and Sales!…read more I purchased a 2009 Subaru legacy from him on March 28, 2018 and the problem started on the ride home. My mother went with me to pick up the car and I had her drive it home. (I needed to have a left foot Accelerator pedal installed in order for me to be able to drive it due to a stroke.) When I was following her I noticed that the rear right brake light was out. I immediately called and spoke to Gina and told her about the problem and she said I could bring it in and they would replace the bulb. (This is the only positive response that I received regarding multitude of issues with the car) On the ride home my mother experience violent shaking from the front end of the car when she stepped on the break pedal. (Mark drove the car when I went to look at it because it didn't have a left foot Accelerator pedal yet.) He told me that the brakes were pulsing because "the car had been sitting for so long and that it should go away with use." I took it to my mechanic to have the left foot Accelerator pedal installed and ask him to look at the brakes. He took it for test drive and found that the brake pedal was pulsing and recommended replacing the rotors and front brake pads. Shortly there after, I went to use the windshield washer and the pump didn't work. Also, the AC wasn't working. I called to set up a time to have these issues addressed under the 30 day warranty that he provided. The first time I called I spoke to Gina and she said "Mark is out in the paint booth and things of been crazy busy around here." I asked her to have him give me a call and she said she would but I never heard from him. Each subsequent time I didn't get a response. I then emailed him (no response) and finally sent him two certified letters before the end of the 30 day warranty to which I received no response. I had my mechanic make the repairs which cost me $850 and then sued him for the money.On the first hearing date he mysteriously developed food poisoning and the date had to be postponed. On the second court date he didn't bother to show and I received a default judgment. The bottom line is don't believe anything he says and his warranty isn't worth the paper that it's written on!!!

Less than a week of having it and the day before I was going to purchase liners, and a client dog had a serious accident in my back seat. My seats are fabric. Mesh, to be specific. I was horrified, my brand new car reeked, I couldn't get it out of the seats, and I was concerned that I would have to reupholster seats in the car I just bought. Enter Middlesex Auto Reconditioning. This was the first place I called, and when I described the issue they said they would have to look at it before they could say for sure if they could clean it. The next day I stopped by, fully prepared to either be told it wasn't possible to clean it or that I had to spend $200-300 on a full detail. Gus had me pull the car in right away and immediately got to work. Within 20 minutes, it was like the accident had never happened! Better yet, I didn't have to get a full detail. He only cleaned the spots that needed it, and he did a fantastic job. No stains, no smell, nothing was left - I had a clean car and I didn't have to shell out a bunch of money. I decided to speak to a representative on site, but all of the representatives ignored me and refused to speak to me. When I was finally able to speak to someone, they told me that I was not able to use the system anymore because I did not have a front license plate that was able to be picked up by the system. They even refused to manually redeem the unlimited membership for me despite showing them my active membership status. They also do not offer a barcode or code to enter into the terminal to redeem. They then said there was nothing else they could do to help me and when I reached out to their customer service I find out they don't even have an active email to contact for assistance. Thus, I wasted a $40 membership because THEIR system couldn't not recognize my car. I DO NOT recommend as they are not professional and do not care if you experience any issues. I attempted to reach out via the phone number listed multiple times but only reached a voicemail. I could not cancel the membership because it requires that you contact them, via the number provided, thus I was charged again for a membership I could not use. My only option was to contact my bank to get rid of the charge. In regard to the front license plate requirement, it seems rather restrictive and excluding given not every car has a front license plate especially if the car is registered outside the state of Massachusetts. I recommend that you (the owner) look into a back plate option.
