After unit was shipped found out there was not enough freon after paying service invoices and reaching out numerous times to get refunded after being told that they would take care of it. Elite Restaurant Equipment operates with shady business practices and no transparency. Our company ordered a 3 compartment sink from Elite in mid to late December of 2024 for a time sensitive project scheduled for completion in late February of 2025. As we drew closer to the needed the sink, we began sending inquires to Elite on when the sink was to ship and for the last 3 weeks, we were told it would be shipping tomorrow. As of today, the sink has not shipped, and they canceled our order. There has been no reason or response for the cancellation. In fairness they did provide a full refund but, have left our company in a position of being unable to fulfill our obligation of completing the project. Our business will never purchase from this provider, and I would strongly encourage others to follow the same stance. read more

Shady business practice!!! Like other reviews on here, someone stole my credit card info and charged 3 $200 charges = $600. I called to inform them and cancel the order. Lenny verified they were able to cancel the order before shipping it out. I have called back 4 times requesting someone to call me back to discuss it further and / or send me an email stating they are providing a refund. Lenny and Dayna keep saying their fraud department has it and started a claim, and the fraud department will get back to me within 30 days. Also stating there is nothing they could do in the meantime regarding a refund because they started a claim on it. They can research this all they want but they did not ship the product, so there is no financial loss to them. I guess times must be hard for them if they are using victims money to float their accounting!!!! Update: I've called back 6 times now ( 2 weeks I've been waiting for someone to call me back ) and today I got a new person named Shayna who tried to check on my claim and I was told there has not been a claim opened under my name yet. They had several options available and were fairly priced so we went ahead and purchased a 5-Well sized unit manufactured by Universal. All seemed ok until we received the unit. Upon inspection there was extensive damage to the unit and was unusable. UPS denied any responsibility for the damage and so we turned to Elite Restaurant Equipment for a resolution. The Manager, Loren contacted me immediately after learning of the situation and was very agreeable in fixing the problem. We are now awaiting a brand new buffet bar to replace the damaged one, additionally Elite is paying any additional shipping costs as well as a set of hotel pans to use with our new equipment. We purchased two stainless steel restaurant quality cabinets from Elite Restaurant Equipment, we spent over $1000. They looked good on the computer and were a good price. They're in New Jersey and we're 3,000 miles away in California. Shipping took the normal 5 days, coast to coast. They were packaged well and in unpacking we discovered a cross brace that supports the center under the counter, had broken a weld. You know it's manufacturing, stuff happens. While inconvenient, Elite had no way of knowing. This happened from the manufacturer. We called Elite and spoke with Crystal. She was very eager to help and asked that we send an email describing what happened and she would take it to her management. We sent pictures and asked Elite "How they would like to handle this?". I was looking for a commercial sink, 24 in wide with a double compartments. Very very hard to find. But Elite had one. I saw the mixed reviews and so I held my breath. I initially called their offices and talk to a representative.... asked about delivery time and he estimated about 2 or 3 days. So I pulled the trigger but really wasn't sure what to expect. The item arrived just as he said and it was well packed. It literally took us 10 minutes to get it out the box... So having said that, there was not a blemish on it. It's a well-built sink, stainless steel is beautiful, the sinks are deep at 13 in which for 24 inch sink again I think is a rare find. I wanted to share my story with this company to protect other customers. At first, I was worried to order from this company after reading all the reviews which say that this company is a scam. I wanted to portect myself from signing the credit card authorizion form that said ( I can't dispute the charge under any circumstance) so I called someone from the company, her name is Crystal and asked; what about if I don't receive the items or received wrong or damaged items? She said; of course we will replace it for you. I asked can you email me this so that I can have it officially and show it to my credit card since I can't dispute the charge? I ordered a sandwich prep cooler and a deli case from this company and the equipment was delivered in two weeks . I was told to sign upon delivery and write subject to inspection on the invoice by elite restaurant equipment. The driver from day and night transport wanted to drop the units and leave and would not wait for any kind of inspection, immediately after the driver left I removed the cardboard and shrink wrap to find the prep cooler bent from the top and the frame on the bottom, it seems like they parked a car on top of it during transport, I contacted crystal from elite and she assured me that a claim would be filed through the shipping company, three months later I had to reach out several times and no response. Finally I get an email saying the claim was denied because the driver took the units inside the business and I signed that I wave all responsibility, also it's worth mentioning that the equipment had a very stubborn white plastic film that was absolutely horrible to take off and it took a week of work, also the more plastic I took off the more damage I found . I would have been better off buying used equipment at least you know there is no surprises like unwrapping a bad gift. I found this website after searching google for commercial kitchen equipment. I called in and placed an order for a two door freezer on Monday morning and was offered same day delivery for no extra charge. I didn't expect to get the new freezer that fast! I asked for a 45 minute notice before the delivery, as I needed to get prepped. The delivery people called me as I requested and delivered at 4:30 pm as scheduled. We ordered a bakery case from Elite this past summer. There were issues with delivery time. Also, the bakery case was damaged upon delivery. We called and emailed Elite to file a claim the day after delivery. By the time they responded it was past the grace period set by their insurance company, and we were denied the ability to file the claim. We submitted a dispute several months ago. I bought this great Countertop Display Refrigerator from Elite. It looks clean and good. It is a great compact size, enough to fit some drinks and other grab-n-go items. The other similar fridges I found on the internet were larger (taller, wider and deeper) meaning they take more space on your counter. So if you need a good compact unit, this is your best bet. It has been running well for the last year since I bought it, no maintenance issues, and I've never had to clean the filters or anything else. It looks really good on the counter and seems well built. The only thing I would caution is that the temperature is not very adjustable, and the lowest temp it stays at is around 39 to 42 degrees. And during defrost cycles, it goes up several more degrees than that. This means that it's better for drinks and food items that don't require super cold temperatures. More sensitive desserts won't last as many days in this unit as they would in a colder pastry case. Also, keep the items requiring lower temps on the lower shelves. Overall, highly recommended unit! read more

Terrible products, and an owner who obviously wanted to scam us. We bought an item advertised as a "new refrigerator". When the item arrived and we opened the box it was very obviously not new. It had water inside, mildew in the door, and dents on to top. It was also not a refrigerator as it couldn't get cold enough to store products at a refrigeration safe temperature. Something the owner couldn't understand. When we contacted him about the obviously used, broken, and wrong product, he said we couldn't not return the item anymore because we accepted it off the truck and all sales are final. I am the owner of a juice bar in San Diego, CA. I ordered a 3 compartment sink and a 1 compartment sink. Once the shipment arrived it was damaged with multiple dings and scratches. Also the back splash was bent and wouldn't properly align with the wall it was being attached too which caused it to be uneven. That's not the worst part, after using the sinks once, I was surprised to show up the next morning with rusted areas along the joints where it was welded together. They do not properly drain which makes water stagnate around the edges of the sink, which in conjunction with the rough edges creates a horrible rusted line throughout the entire sink. Upper management will not take responsibility after I've spent thousands with this project. Do not buy their cheaply made products! They're solution was to clean it a second time even though it did not resolve the issue. Who buys brand new sinks and expects them to rust after one use? Elite Restaurant Equipment offered to give me a discount on a table I needed rather than taking care of the sinks. Either way they make more money and don't care about small business owners. First off, I must say I am surprised with the negative reviews about this business because I had a great previous experience with this company. I have a relative who resides in San Francisco, who was looking for an affordable restaurant equipment company for his newly opened cafe. After asking a few friends of mine in my hometown of Brooklyn, I was referred to Elite Restaurant Equipment. I connected my SF relative to this company, and things could not have ran any smoother. We had the pleasure of speaking with the president of the company Marcel, and Larry of the customer service department was very helpful as well. After a big order of Winco restaurant equipment including plates, silverware, etc., was placed, my relative received a tracking number a few days later. We spoke with both Larry and Marcel and they answered all the questions he had about his placed order. It took exactly a week for the items to get to my relative after placing the order, even though we were told it might take a little bit over a week. (This is a big part of why i believe they deserve 5 stars) People should use Elite Restaurant Equipment as an example of how a company should run.
