I tried the chicken broccoli pizza and it was honestly unbelievable. Chicken and broccoli is usually a heavier style pizza, but somehow they kept it thin and crispy. I don't know how they pulled that off, but the crust still had a perfect crunch while holding all the toppings without getting soggy. Everything tasted fresh and the balance of flavors was spot on. Places like Sally's Apizza and Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana get a lot of the spotlight, but if Pizza by Rocco had a prime time location and more exposure, I honestly think they'd be competing in the same conversation. They dont use the delivery apps, which is either a values stance or (more probably) due to how small their operation is. I could see them getting overwhelmed at peak periods if they had delivery app orders on top of their normal business.

I ordered the Italian sub with the everything. They assured me that my food allergy (carrots) would be a problem for my order. My Italian sub was very very good. The bell peppers on it were a surprise but a pleasant one. They added a nice crunch and sweetness to the sub. I do wish there was a little more meat on it however that is just a matter of preference. Over filling sub is definitely problematic so I don't really fault them in this. Overall I had a great sub and experience. I will keep Annula's on my list anytime I'm in Manchester.
