Just got my new car back from Johnson tint this week. I wanted to add legal tint to the front…read morewindows in my car (for both privacy and UV protection) and make the back rows even darker than the factory tint for privacy. I chose ceramic film, after doing some research. When I had the windows tinted on my last car ceramic wasn't available. The last shop that tinted my car also didn't tint the quarter windows by my rear view mirrors--something I didn't notice until I got home and I never took the time to take it back to tint it for additional cost. It bothered me every day I drove it. Johnson tint includes those little triangle windows at no cost and he also put on clear vinyl protection under the handle of each door to protect against scratches and chips, again at no cost. I dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready early afternoon. I would recommend Johnson tint and would use them again.

Finally came across Brighton Auto Detailing and gave them a call. Said they could take care of it and that they would need the car for the day. Very reasonable too ($150 per wheel at the time of this review). I brought it over and immediately saw that this place was legit. Still, I was pretty skeptical that they would be able to make the wheel look like nothing happened. When I came to pick up the car I half expected to be disappointed by unmatched paint glistening in the sun or a wavy surface but to my surprise I could not spot the area that was fixed. The paint match was perfect and they only filed the minimum amount they had to. They are super nice and friendly and they run the shop like a well oiled machine. I will definitely be back for a hand wash and detailing at some point as they've earned my business! Thanks guys!

I was very happy with their service from the start until the finish of the work…read more I had intended to get my windows tinted "eventually", but I just bought the car and didn't really want to take on another expense right away. However, my new car got dinged days after getting it and they were able to buff it out pretty easily. I was able to find the spot the work was done, but it took me a minute. I would be shocked if anyone who was unaware could even find the spot. While I was there, I also had my front two windows tinted while I waited and they did a good job. However, when I got the vehicle home I noticed that there was a decent bubble in the front driver side window. I contacted them the next day and they said to bring it back so it could be redone. At no point did I feel like they tried to push off the responsibility or try to get away from standing by their work. They fixed it no questions asked. I have no reason to believe that they wont also honor the lifetime warranty that they offer on their window tinting.

The whole interaction/process came off as supeeer unprofessional, and makes me question whether I'd trust them to apply tints. Will probably end up finding a differing tint provider - but, if you're in need of detailing, hit up Key West in South Elgin. They were way more professional and customer service oriented.
