They sold me a car and I never received the title, I called them and they were no longer in business

We purchased a used truck from Elite Motors in Sacramento for $8,000 in March 2024. We paid an additional 2 yr warranty for $2000. We put $5,000 down and financed the remaining $5,000 with Westlake Finance. We tried to use the extended warranty with Gold Standard And it doesn't exist! They essentially stole $2,000 from us! We feel so dumb and ripped off!! Now we find Elite Motors is a closed business!!! read more

Website says they will approve anyone regardless of credit. no ss or driving License. Went to check out the out the cars and they said you need at least 620 credit score. So they just say some BS so you can go to them. Will not go back there some false advertisement here. read more

Shady af. I've had my 14 durango for 6 months. Yet to get my registration for the car. They never returned the call. I contacted the financing company and at first they said they'd just "keep reaching out" since Tom wasn't answering them either. But even they seem to feel shady. Facts are facts get them straight! Bought the car in 15 with 68k miles. It has 73 FUCKIN miles so to say I drove it 5000 plus miles is a joke as your business is!! Second I bought the car a rainy May day and didn't realize the car ac wasn't working and called right away. After complaining you had me take it to some chop shop where someone fixed it( only temp cause the next summer I had to pay for new regulators) that was days after I bought it in which the gps also didn't work as you promised and never delivered a disc Third fact less than a year after that transmission issues and a 900+ $ bill 4th I also had Battery Battery cables All electrical wires All modules and sensors under car and in trunk Tire sensors Break sensors Both headlights / rear lights Electrical seats needed re wireing Sunroof motors All engine seals needed replacing showed salt residue Due to sea water ( how you ask?? Cause it was a hurricane car never salvaged) Yes I was naive but never told to get looked at by a mechanic. When I asked where their mechanic was I was told they had none. I was also told the rumbling and cracking when I started the car was " the turbo warming up" come to find out the sensor is gone and actually my car can blow up if I drive it using my turbo due to the fact the senso won't let the flap move allowing the gas to build up. Oh and that cost 2k to fix. Just parts. this car has cost me more than it was ever worth. To top it off all 3 friends I recommended here cars have failed also. BEWARE read more

I purchased a vehicel here Oct of 2023. Tom and Elite Motors refuses to get me my registration for the vehicle. It is now April 8th, 6 months later. They refuse to communicate with me. I text and leave voice mails and they will not return my call. They also have STOLEN nearly $3,000 from me. I purchased an extended warranty and they cancelled it before it actually became active. They did not tell me they were doing this. I imagine they were just hoping nothing would happen to the car and I would never find out. BUT, it did need some work and I was going to use the extended warrany but come to find out from the warranty company that Elite motors cancelled the policy on January 3rd of this year. If anyone who has had any of these issues gets them resolved please let me know how as I would like to resolve them. DO BETTER ELITE MOTORS. read more

I wanted to purchase the Infiniti m37. I knew exactly what I wanted. I requested to test drive the vehicle, the sales rep asked me how I was going to pay I said cash. He asked for my license and came back with a printout of the total purchase price. I told him would put most of it in cash and finance the rest which would have really only been the extended warranty, he then asked my bank name, and I told him, and he said we need pre-approval in order to allow a test drive. Needless to say, they lost a sale. I've never been refused a test drive. I felt completely discriminated against and judged because I didn't look a certain way, he assumed I wanted to test drive the car for "fun" and to "waste" gas and they want to avoid that because of the high gas prices. That's exactly what the finance rep called back and stated when he tried to rectify the situation. Newsflash gas is expensive so is my time and energy, I'm not driving around Sacramento looking to test drive a 2012 Infiniti for fun, lol. read more

I bought a $20,000 Truck and ended up having to replace the injectors, flush the fuel system, put in new wheel bearings, track bar, ball joints and then the computer fried because the dealer did a shit job removing a chip from the truck. So far I have $10k in repairs that I've done. To top it all off. Nothing delivered as promise. I was told the vehicle would be all cleaned up and ready for a test drive. After a 3 hour drive 1 way we walked in 5 minutes early and were greeted very politely. The car was brought up and it looked like a day care had hung out in there before we showed up. The engine compartment was literally cleaner than the interior. The sun shade was broke and Anthony the manager said it was a safe vehicle, the shade is cosmetic and proceeded to tell me the price of the repair and lead us to believe it as too expensive for them to repair. During our talk with the salesman it was conveyed that the cash paying customers weren't their strong suit. They preferred selling their cars to people that struggle with being able to purchase nicer vehicles. I wouldn't recommend purchasing vehicles from Elite Motors. A total waste of a day. read more

BUT when I purchased the vehicle the next day I drove it a few miles and started hearing a terrible washing machine noise coming from my driver side wheel. I called and a few associates there assessed the vehicle over the phone and determined it was safe to drive home but as it was closing hours asked If I can bring the vehicle back the next day for repairs despite the fact I had signed the contract saying I will take the vehicle as is! My wife and I was in search for a mini van since we now have 2 small kids. We search the internet and saw a decent priced mini Van with milage that was under 91,000. So I called up the place and set up an appointment with a guy named Matt. Next day, at the appointed time we arrived and took a look at the mini Van. It was decent but I noticed that the 2 back tires was bald from the bad alignment and pointed out to Matt. He mentioned THAT that's not a problem. He is willing to send it to the shop down the street to get that taken care of. After, I test drived the Mini van. My wife and I couldn't make up our minds because we still got anther appointment with another dealership. I told Matt that we still got to fulfilled our next appointment and if we decided that we Want to buy his Mini Van... Will his price and offer still stand...? He stated yes. When we got to the next dealership... We started the vehicle and the engine sounded bad (rough). So we decided not to test drive it and pass. We called Matt back and said that we were on our way back and if he could get the mini Van(tires & Alignment) fix and ready. Once we got bad, got all the paperwork done and was waiting for the Mini Van to get back from the shop. When the vehicle arrived back. Matt offer to have his shop do a extra heavy carpet cleaning & vacuuming the next day free of charge. Next day, we arrived and Matt greeted us with a smile as always and got our Vehicle clean as we waited. I just wanted to say... Short Review: EliteMotors = Phenomenal experience - If I could afford to buy cars like I do groceries I would from Tom at Elite. You might as well replace Elite with Tom cause Tom = Elite... so TomMotors916 is how I reference it to this day. Detailed Review: Background - Early December 2016 I caught wind of a heck of a vehicle Tom had on his lot. Now... I live across the country, Vermont to be exact. It's not typical for me to purchase a vehicle so far away, however living in VT, used vehicles tend to have a thing called RUST! Not only was this vehicle rust free it was exactly what I was looking for. Quite a unique vehicle at a great price. Anyway, I must of called him many of times asking about the vehicle etc, probably drained his phones battery once or twice. He was quick to respond and extremely friendly and personable even running out and taking additional pictures upon my request... even angles that would force one to lay on the pavement to take.. Think about it... He gave a skeptical fella thousands of miles away a good portion of his time, when someone locally could just walk right in and buy it and be done with it in one day. So after getting some low down from Tom, I had one of my friends set up to go be my hands on the wheel, As much as I couldn't help it, the only day I could make it work on my side was on Christmas Eve... So here we are, about a week out from test drive and Tom was gracious enough to be okay with that plan, even to come to the dealership Christmas Eve and "hold" (so to speak) the vehicle to allow time for my friend to come take a test drive on my behalf. At this point, I could imagine, Tom was skeptical on the whole situation - being strangers and all and having a friend come down and check it out etc. However he was willing enough to give me the benefit of the doubt and play along. My friend confirmed everything Tom had mentioned so no surprises. Some dealerships deserve the "shady salesman" stereotype... this one does not. Test drive was a success - Now to the purchasing process. I guess it would be hard to buy a car across the country??? I don't know for sure, because the whole thing went quite smoothly. Paperwork seemed like a breeze. Not being there in person obviously extended the purchasing process, with mailing documents to and fro, but nothing like you would imagine. Tom had it all planned out and ready to go - he was on it! So now on to shipping. Tom did offer some options/solutions for shipment however It was in my best interest to source a shipper on my own to keep the additional leg work for a cross country shipment on my side. Shipment did however require additional coordination with Tom, This would be the 2nd time Tom was willing to work with someone other than me... for me (test drive and now shipment) Tom made sure he was available for the shipper upon pick up, to make sure it got loaded on fine and dandy. He even tidied up and stowed some things on and inside the vehicle to increase it's saftey during transit. Arrival, exciting day for me. Tom checked in every now and then during it's transit to see if it had arrived - I thought that was cool. I could only imagine the outside was sparkling when it left California however, open bay shipments - your vehicle is exposed to the elements. The Interior was absolutely spotless - Tom runs a tight ship. For a 7 y/o vehicle it felt brand new. There were no bad surprises at all upon seeing it in real life to starting and driving it the first time. Mechanically sound etc. Exactly as described even to the last scratch. I know it's just "Car Buying" but it was really the first time it's been "Hassle Free" One can imagine the odds of cross country car buying being hassle free are usually slim... All in all, Tom made me feel as if I were a local friend. He could of probably sold it 10 times during the duration of my "in the air" purchase. It felt as if he wanted to sell it to me as much as I wanted to buy it. The amount of quick response and service I received was incredible and close to indescribable. At first I thought I was finally dealing with some decent folks and would be able to purchase a vehicle for my family to be able to use to live. I bought a 2094 Toyota 4runner limited edition. However after having for one day my left blinker and headlight stopped working, my CD player ate my disc the second day and hasn't worked since, also the button for opening the gas tank is broken so you have the find the wire and pull it. About a week into owning the vehicle I started noticing all kinds of things that were missing or not functioning properly. And now, just a few months after paying literally our last dime on this car at $8,000 dollars my whole engine is blown and the block is cracked and I am now without a vehicle, I have 3 children and very low income, I really feel like they took advantage of a desperate family and now we are just so incredibly screwed. I just wanted a vehicle that would last and be safe for my kids to travel in. This is going to leave my family completely without and might cost my husband his job as well. I'm just so dissatisfied and disappointed and just kinda hopeless. Please always get any used vehicle checked out by someone you trust and look into warranties. I HAD been shoping for a while for a car I thought would be exactly what we needed, and it took me to ELITE MOTORS, when I got there I was pleased to see HOW MANY good samples of cars I had to pick from, all good quality makes and conditions, and we ended up buying a better car for the same price (as other dealers for less value) so we bought a Toyota sienna , nice mileage, lots of extras, one owner, great condition, and MATT was so amiable and great to work with he made a lasting impression on me.. TODAY I went back to them to get a push button door opener they ordered for me (no charge) and MATT remembered me and was super great at helping me program the unit... Elite Motors, has without a doubt, the worst customer service I have ever experienced at an auto dealer. The vehicle that I went to look at was in terrible shape. It wouldn't even start. The salesman said "none of our vehicles start, that's common on a car lot." After jumping the vehicle it ran somewhat poorly. Inside the vehicle several plastic parts began to fall off as I inspected them. The ashtray was reattached with double-sided tape. I asked about the missing radio antenna and he said he didn't know where it was. I asked if he could get a CD or something so that I could test the sound system. He said "no one uses CDs anymore, nobody has one here." I asked if we could connect my phone to Bluetooth so we can test the sound system. He said go ahead and after about 30 seconds pushed me out of the way and tried to connect it himself. Two minutes later, after failing to set up a Bluetooth connection, he said "I don't know what to tell you." He said if you've heard a stock sound system for a Ford F-150 then you know what this one sounds like. I said I would still like to hear it to make sure it works. He said "I can get static through the radio so you can hear static through the speakers so that proves they work." I asked about the broken grill where the hood release had been repositioned to stick through it, and he said it's a used vehicle and I shouldn't worry about all the cosmetic stuff. I asked about the keys to the toolbox in the bed and he said I don't know about those. I asked about the oil leaking out of the transfer case, he said "that's normal." He was rude, abrupt and confrontational. I asked if the truck had been in any accidents and he said "I don't know, I don't have a Carfax with me." He said "I can show you one after we get the paperwork started." It seems to me, in order to receive only five and one star reviews, that the one-star reviews must be the real ones. They're the only ones with any real detail. Buyer beware. I had $20,000 cash in my pocket, and was ready to buy on the spot. These guys couldn't sell water to a man on fire. read more

I just bought a 2007 chevy Tahoe from Elite Motors & I have to say that I went & looked at every dealership that had a Tahoe & the ones that the other dealers had either had way to many miles on them & was priced to high or something was wrong with them, so when I seen the Tahoe that I got u was very surprised that it was in brand new condition inside & out & it had very very low miles on it and it was priced right. My husband was looking online at trucks and came across Elite Motors. We contacted them and had awesome customer service from the beginning. We have less than desirable credit but with a lot of perseverance Tom was able to secure financing before we made the hour and a half drive there to see the truck. We came up and were greeted at the door by Nathan who was so friendly and welcoming. We checked out the truck and Tom prepared the papers and we signed and were out of there with our 2005 GMC Sierra. I have never had suck a wonderful experience in my life. Never did we feel judged because of our credit issues and were treated with the utmost respect at all times. Tom and Nathan are laid back and so easy to talk to. No secrets or surprises. Straight up good businessmen. my wife & i purchased a 2007 acura mdx a couple weeks ago. excellent below KBB price, car was immaculate, and other cars on the lot were reasonably priced & all were quality well taken care of cars - this dealership does not sell junk!!! very very friendly, great attitude & respectful service. while assisting us & another customer at the same time (running both of our credit & dealing with both of us at the same time ) he (was by himself) tended to both of us customers with respect & decency throughout the whole deal for both of us. free coffee & water & suggested us to step into the very cool better air conditioned room while we waited. to sum this up, i would go back & would recommend any friends & family members there. we visited a good 5 dealerships before arriving here , 3 of the 5 having very rude or overly pushy salesmen which caused us to walk off the lots. nothing wrong at all with ELITE MOTORS & our MDX is awesome for the price we paid. read more
