On Jun 18 2025, I purchased a 2015 Silverado High Country from Olympic Motors. I was fresh out of boot camp, eager to have my first "real truck". The Olympic Motors team was nice to me at first, with Yazan being the one handling buying process. I was told the truck was in good condition, clean title, no issues and the carfax was clean. Then comes the turn of events. I drove the truck to PCS to my next duty station on Jul 5 2025, when the trucks head gasket had blown after only a 6 hour drive. I was stranded, and called the Olympic motors team to clarify what had happened. Yazan told me on the phone that the truck had a head gasket that was blown before and the engine had been rebuilt prior because of that. Weird because that wasn't in any description of the vehicle or disclosed to me at all. They told me I could bring it back to the dealership or get a diagnostic and they would pay for repairs when I arrived to my duty station. In the military, we have an arrive no later than date that we cannot go over, so I absolutely had to spend money on a rental to get to my base. Upon arriving to my duty station, I took the truck to a mechanic who told me that the head gasket was blown and he recommended an engine replacement. I relayed this information to Olympic motors and at this time Mohammed had answered the phone. He told me "I don't know who told you it had a rebuilt motor but that wasn't a lie" and "I don't know what backyard mechanic you took it to." After various insults over the phone after I had been respectful throughout this whole issue, we could not come to an agreement and hung up after they switched my options and said they would no longer cover expenses of repairs. Please note that my wife was pregnant and we were moving into a new house in a new state, we could not afford repairs on our own. They the called back later and apologized and told me if I could get a "more reputable" diagnostic, we could come to another solution. They referred me to one of their acquaintances here, a dealership with a rating of 2 stars about 2 hours away from me. I ended up dropping the truck off to a Chevrolet Dealership to get inspected where they told me there was coolant in the cylinders, the head gasket was blown and they also recommended an engine replacement. After this, Olympic motors sent me an email, giving me an option where I could return the truck back to the dealer with towing expenses paid for, they would send my $4,000 down payment back which note: never went towards my loan, they would reimburse me for payments made on the truck and they said if I sent them any other expenses we could discuss a further solution. They also said my most recent payment to the financial institution would be reversed.
Fast forward a week or so and I got my settlement check in the mail which only covered my down payment and 2 payments out of 3 reimbursed.
I have recently called the financial institution that the dealer and I were working with and they informed me that Olympic Motors DID NOT repay my loan in full and that a little over $1k had been WAIVED by the bank. Meaning I would not get my $710.74 payment back. After months of trying to reach out to the Olympic motors team to come to a solution they have been ignoring me and I may have to resort to a legal option. I advise all to stay away from this dealership as not everything may be as it seems. Note: all of this information is 100% factual and verified as I have taken notes on a notepad of every conversation I have had with any party during this issue. I would've wrote a good review on the service I had received if they had only responded to my emails instead of ignoring me. read more
