I had a great ace time here at Kick Axe! This was my second time ace throwing-- I attended an elite event here last summer. For some reason, I did not do as well as last time, but probably had more fun. We initially began with free play, but toward the end, we were set up in teams. It came down to the wire, and unfortunately, we lost by just one point! Despite that, I still had a wonderful time. The instructor we had was wonderful, she went over the rules, she assisted with strategy, and would step in and make adjustments to how to properly hit the target! Thank you to Kick Axe and Morlene for another great event.

This was such a great experience. I was able to chat with and laugh with folks I didn't know. This place is large and great for small and large groups. They currently offer non-alcoholic bevies and beers. The instructors are so friendly and helpful. I love that they give guidance and make sure we had a good time while being safe. They have typical bar food. Warm pretzels. Macaroni bites. Bbq sliders. Charcuterie boards. It's a nice alternative to the usual things and is great for friends or even a date. The location is convenient and I was able to walk from Atlantic Ave.

I had the best time learning how to be an axe murderer...errrm I mean throw an axe at a fixed target. You play for about 75 mins. The staff was very kind and encouraging. Great personalities in the space overall. I unfortunately didn't get to try much of the light bites but they looked tasty. The tepache was yummy and had a nice variety of flavor offerings. My choice was Tamarind. I would love to come back and work on my form. As one of the instructors said, ..."For Narnia!" Oh before I forget, the space inside is luxy cabin vibes. Lots of space to hang out and enjoy beverages and strike up a conversation. There are also some board games floating around. Definitely check it out if you're in the area. Shout out to Morlene and Julia for organizing such a fun night out.

This place was a lot of fun! The staff are very friendly and are readily available for help and to give tips. The atmosphere and venue itself is really spacious and they have a handful of other games available while you wait. You play for 75 minutes which includes about 10 minutes of safety and instruction. When you start you're in two different lanes in a separate cage while you axe throw. I would love to go back sometime! Thank you Morlene and Kick Axe for the fun event!

I had a "KickAxe" time tonight with my fellow elites. The instructors were helpful and encouraging. After following their instructions, I was close to getting bullseye several times. We were also served some delicious bites. They had charcuterie board, pigs in a blanket, pulled pork sandwiches, and mac and cheese bites. Morlene made an announcement that they were serving beer when we were getting ready to leave. If I were a drinker, I would have participated in that portion of the event. Thanks to Morlene and Julia for organizing this fun event. Thanks to Kick Axe for hosting us.

One thing for sure I HAD A BLAST!!!!! Your upper arms better be ready to throw.... It's 2 ppl per cage throwing axes... Our teacher was super fun and so amazing.... They have beer on tap, the Brooklyn lager was good but my favorite was the Brooklyn pilsner. They also have food to order but weren't my favorite why they lost a star The place is really cute with lots of games to play and have fun while and throwing.

Super fun and unique Yelp Elite event! One of my favorites by far. Check in process was quick and we had to sign some waivers. Afterwards, they introduced how to throw the axe properly and things to note for safety. We split up into smaller groups with two people throwing axes at each netting area. And the teams would rotate through after a couple rounds of throwing axes. The staff were so helpful and made sure to give each person individualized tips. I loved how they tried helping everyone to score on the target! We played for about 75 mins total rotating through groups of two and by the end, it was very casual and whoever wanted to throw could throw. We also did a little competition separating us into two teams - whichever team reached 75 points first wins! Super fun! There was also lots of finger food serviced throughout and being replenished frequently. Cheese board, pretzels, macaroni bites (my favorite), pigs in a blanket, and pulled pork sliders (so so good). Also culture pop and some fermented probiotic drinks available at the bar. Overall, it was such a fun experience! It was a great way to meet other yelpers and do a fun activity together.

I love axe throwing, this is my 2nd time at Kick Axe and the ambiance is really nice. Staff was friendly and informative and overall real peaches. Loved the culture pop soda options, as I can have copious amounts and not feel like absolute trash. The food was meh, pretzel bites, pigs in a blanket, charcuterie, mac n cheese bites, and pulled pork sliders. Would have loved to see some more vegetarian/non pork options, but it is what it is. As always grateful to help for arranging and shout out to Kick Axe for hosting and all the pubs.

First ever axe throwing. It's exciting and nervous at the same time. Thought clumsiness would hurt myself or someone else, but also have been dying to try. The event last for their normal session of their normal time which is 75mins usually that goes for $43/pp. it's a really fun event for team building. I have not thrown an axe before. At the beginning my axe didn't even stick on the board. It took a little practice and and friendly tips from the staff, when I left the event I was able to got most of my axe stick on the board. And got three bulls eyes the whole night including one throw in the competition. There were sodas and finger food throughout the night. All the yelper are very friendly, really a bit judgement zone. You get cheers and claps whenever you hit any number. The staffs are also very helpful, helping everyone to improve their skills. Such a fun activity to bring the squad together to do something different, shoutout to Kick Axe throwing team to host us and thanks Morlene for organizing such a fun night out in Brooklyn

Such a fun and interactive experience! There were so many things to love about this event: - The ax throwing tutorials were very helpful - The staff kept ax throwing engaging by playing a variety of games - The staff were friendly and helpful - The venue is spacious, which is great for going out with a group of friends or loved ones - The charcuterie board was everything I can't wait to come back with friends

This was my first time axe throwing and it did not disappoint! The KickAxe staff were extremely helpful and friendly, giving clear instructions and offering constructive feedback. I really liked the ambiance of the place, which is very cool and welcoming. I could definitely see coming back with a group. The cheese spread and Mac n cheese bites were good, but it would have been nice to have something more substantial for vegetarians to complement the pork sliders. Really liked the probiotic sodas they had available for us. Overall a really fun event that was a nice switch-up from the usual bar or sit-down restaurant event. Thanks to Morlene and Julia and the KickAxe staff for making it possible!

Amazing event. Thank you Morlene and Joulie for organizing this excellent event. It was so much fun, I had thrown axe in Canada last year and it was so much fun. So when I saw this, I was excited to RSVP. On my first axe throwing at the evening I hit target amazing feeling! After a few tries, I hit the bull's-eye! Woohoo! The food was plenty, I tried it all. There was pretzels, The cheese n meat board, mac & cheese balls (so yummy ) just when I thought i was full, they came out with pulled pork sliders. I didnt want to have a cocktail, in case my axe throw was not good. Convenient location. Close to subway. Looking forward to axe throwing again! Sorry for delay in writing review.

Upon entering KickAxe, you are greeted with a front desk and a pretty large waiting area with board games to play. In the back there are plenty of lanes for ax throwing. Our instructors were very knowledgeable, clear, and concise when communicating instructions on how to throw the ax. Before long, we were able to start ax throwing. There are two people to a "cage", and there are explicit safety directions. I appreciated that we were able to get a game going and had plenty of turns at throwing. I do wish that there were "levels" in how far you stand from the target, but to make it harder, you are able to throw with one hand as well. The food was also pretty good. I did not expect a charcuterie-type experience, but there was cured meat, cheese, and mac and cheese bites. I had a great time, and I would definitely come back with friends to experience this.

I came here around noon and the place haven't been filled up yet but that was truly toward my benefit as my waiter, Jeff was extra attentive (yay me!). He offered me both brunch and regular menu and was very friendly and eager to assist me if I needed it. After making all my choices, he complimented and said I made good choices and whether if that was true or not, it made me felt happy. Lol. All of the food portion were huge. I ordered their wings as my appetizer, shrimp/bacon taco for entrée and tres leche for dessert. With that they also offered me some fresh fried taco with homemade salsa that was really delicious and made me wanting more even though I had to pace myself. Presentation wise, it was all instagramable. They restaurant is very conscious about presentation so that was a huge plus. As for taste, it was all good. I especially enjoy my shrimp/bacon taco as it was huge and those trio-side sauce (hot sauce, green sauce and pumpkin sauce) was just outright slamming. As for portion it was larger then life, especially for one person. Honestly I think it could feed two people as I ended up taking half of it home. Overall, I enjoyed myself, felt really relaxed, enjoyed their playlist and especially my waiter, Jeff that help tied my experience with Tiny Cantina in nicely. The owner, Elliot, shared how this used to be a bodega that he completely gutted and rebuilt into a plant-based wine bar -- and you can really feel the love he put into the space. Everything we tried was vegetarian, which was actually really refreshing. The olives, the cheese, the bread... simple but really good. The wines were the star though. Most of what they carry is natural wine (Elliot said around 85%), and we sampled a few. The Grillo white was my favorite -- kind of funky in a fun way, like a twist on Pinot Grigio. The place itself is small and cozy, with outdoor seating and just one bathroom (just noting that for people who care). The staff was great -- Kril was behind the bar and super friendly, and Nate and Moises made the whole event feel relaxed and welcoming. Apparently they bring in a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays, which I can totally see fitting the vibe here. Thanks to Yelp Brooklyn Community Manager Morlene C., & to Snowcubes Owner Leo. Leo was so kind and shared that he and his wife started Snowcubes. He talked about the product and gave information on how they create these tasty treats. Snowcubes are handcrafted Snow- Flake Crisps treats. Snowcubes Owner Leo gave us Strawberry Matcha Snowcubes (small box) & Classic Snowcubes (medium box). Both the Strawberry Matcha Snowcubes (ingredients include crackers, marshmallows, dried strawberries, pistacchio, matcha, etc.), and the Classic Snowcubes (ingredients include crackers, marshmallows, cranberries, pistacchio) are light, airy, chewy, crisppy, and absolutely delicious! I enjoyed some one day and then had the rest of the Snowcubes w/ tea for breakfast the next day. Thanks, Leo! Website - trysnowcubes.com Instagram - @trysnowcubes Snowcubes Owner Leo shared that one can order Snowcubes via their website to have it shipped. Everyman Espresso is a good place for anyone who finds themselves on 5th Ave in Park Slope and wants to get coffee, tea, pastries, etc. in a cozy establishment. I was able to sit and enjoy it inside the cafe. I would say the snow cubes are similar in taste to a rice krispy treat but more fresh and light flavor wise. I enjoyed the textures and the bite sized pieces. I even let my parents try some and they enjoyed it!

There were prices for different items displayed in more than one spot, and not on just one menu. I decided to just order off the top of my head since I couldn't figure it out. In addition to the Hood Healer and Lentil soup I received, as a Yelp Elite, I ordered some tea. The place reminded me of the type of spot that is local, and ancestral, and kind of like -- just ask and see what is available. It gives a small town feel, in a sense. There are books for sale, which was delightful and the books seemed to be titles of varying genres, all fairly priced. The service was excellent, quick and efficient. And very helpful and very friendly. Now that I think of it, the spot could have been a cafe in Diagon Alley (IYKYK). But on the good side of things. I couldn't see inside of the small window from where I ordered my food, but I'm pretty sure there was some sort of magic going on back there based on how tasty the lentil soup was, in addition to the Hood Healer, which after taking one sip, I said, "mmm" out loud. Both the soup and drink were excellent and perfectly seasoned. I could feel the effort that was put into both items and it felt like it was made on the spot from all natural ingredients. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Thank you Morlene for the office hours & my free refresher! I appreciate you & your hard work. This was my first ever office hours with Morlene ! And had a great time with other yelpers. Met some new beautiful people also. Hopefully it will be a new beginning with new friends! I was gonna take pictures with everyone but we were so busy chitchatting I forgot lol..! I tried their iced cappuccino & it was great. They were very nice & gave us some bite sized snacks to try. It was delicious, I will definitely recommend this place to everyone! Plus, it's just a short 2-min walk from Winthrop St Stop. You might even miss the spot easily because it's not too noticeable on the corner of a block. Ciao Bella (Italian) = "Hello/Goodbye, Beautiful" in English. Storefront isn't too big and the indoor space is on the smaller side. Nevertheless, the space size doesn't hurt the ambiance + relaxing vibes at the coffee shop. Upon arrival, the funky interior design gives off a vintage yet stylish sense. I see that people are sitting on the sofa & bar stools while drinking coffee and working on their laptops. Besides the indoor seating, there's an outdoor seating area both with red scaffold and ones out in the open with the sun beating down on people's back. Noise level wise is moderately quiet with the music playing in the background. What catches my attention the most are: 1) the glossy wooden guitar hanging on the wall as decorations & 2) a green felt chair with gold designs on the fabric material right next to the couch. I would love to have a comfy chair like that in my living room too. Super quick service from super respectful, friendly and helpful staff. Strong taste of coffee in the complimentary iced mocha that I'm able to order because of Morlene, thank you for treating us with drinks on a humid summer day. And the bonus is, she gifts us each of a studded Yelp tumbler who has showed up for the Yelp Community Event. Thank you to the staff (sorry I didn't get to catch your name) at Ciao Bella who comes out with a plate of Snickerdoodle and Chai cookies for the bites. There's free wifi and even a single clean restroom stall for customers in the back. The small conversation with each other is flowing with new restaurant and cafe suggestions/recommendations for future arrangements and exploring in the city. Everyone is so nice and interactive. I actually like having more intimate events like this at coffee shops because you get to have longer conversations and catch up with other Yelpers. Would like to see more workshop-related events in the future as well. I have stayed for the entire 3 hours for Ciao Bella, but you don't have to if you're in a rush. We're free to just grab a coffee and go or can stay for an hour or two and then leave on our own. No judgment and very chill vibes indeed. Thank you again to Morlene & Yelp for the Community Event invite. Thank you for the cute red Yelp tumbler. Grateful for Ciao Bella Coffee for hosting us at their cozy space.
