She communicated what she was doing throughout the process and the procedure was relatively painless. I'm writing this almost 24 hours later and I feel very little discomfort. This is the first morning I woken up to in a long time without throbbing from that tooth. My insurance company can be difficult to work with. Outside of the procedure I can say the office kept me informed of their efforts with the pre-authorization and even managed to get me in earlier than my scheduled appointment. I cannot say enough great things about the staff and the treatment I received.

I have anxiety and had never had a root canal before, so I was definitely nervous going into and during the appointment. I had honestly never even heard of endodontics before the term "root canal" started being dropped into scheduling and conversation for me. It was nothing like I had imagined. Thank you to Dr. Sloan Lanctot and Dani. You were both truly amazing. You were attentive, listened, never made me feel rushed, and made the whole experience much easier and more comfortable. Wouldn't recommend a root canal for the fun of it, but the entire experience was better with you, and better than I could have ever imagined or expected. The office in Westerville is beautiful! It's new and think they have only been at this address a few months. I had a 9 AM appointment, arrived around 8:30 AM, and had no issues finding parking. The office and facility are clean and modern with new equipment. Everything felt as comfortable as could be, and the service from check in through the next day follow up was friendly and appreciated. Helpful notes: Upon arrival, the restrooms are on the second floor, directly across from the elevators. They are only accessible before you enter the suite. When it comes to relieving it, you will not receive better care from another endodontic group. I've had 4 root canals in the last four years, three from Dr. Menke and one from Dr. Arens at the Dublin and Westerville offices, and each time, I have left feeling truly cared for. Professionalism and expertise is top tier. Dr. Menke has done the last three root canals for me and makes it a point to check on his patients the next day personally to see how things are. When was the last time a medical professional did that in our world? Best guy ever! The first root canal I had was an emergency two days before Xmas in '22 during a blizzard. A two-hour drive turned into three, and my whole head throbbed with pain. Walking out into a field and lying down was definitely on the table. If you know, you know. Dr. Arens took one look at me and in one minute, the pain was gone. The endodontist in Chillicothe I had gone to first actually had numbed my mouth, then looked down and said, "No. I'm not doing it. Your mouth is too small. Just have it pulled." Yep. Zero stars. Do not recommend. Dr. Arens saved my tooth. Despite my frequent brushing and flossing, old fillings have broken or fallen out, requiring more dental work as I've gotten older. Despite the 2-hr drive, Central Ohio Endodonics will always be my first choice for future work. The office staff is also kind and professional - very empathetic - and thoughtful, extending the exemplary dental care to the finish line. I appreciate everyone there. Do yourself a favor and just go there.

I was scared having heard so many nightmare stories about how painful and intrusive it is and I was told that if I wanted it done right, I needed an endodontist. I came to Kathy and Kevin (the Younkins) and from the first consultation, they put me at ease. They're soothing, gentle and really nice. I don't know what all their fancy equipment does but it seems super high tech. I don't know what other people go through, but the whole experience was a breeze. The only pain i felt was a little soreness for a couple days after which is no big deal if you take the ibuprofen they give you.

If you get a choice I would go With "big papa!" That's what I call him in my head. This location doesn't discuss preventive care much with patients, so it is important to make sure you ask them, to keep the work they do intact. If you make an appointment, they will not leave you in the dark, the with email you and text you often to remind you, so they have great follow-up, But If you can't make an appointment let them know because they have a big customer base They bake cookies fresh every day so they definitely make an effort, to make a great atmosphere, But just a few things to work out.

When I was finally out of the clutches of OSU student health, and looking for a dentist of my own I had a sneaking suspicion that I had approximately 75 cavities (at least). I went to the googles in search of someone able to handle my multiple dental issues. I saw that Dr. Baloy was the team dentist for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and looked no further. I figured if he could handle hockey mouths, I'd be no problem. From the very beginning, I felt welcome in the office. The staff is SO nice, and no one judged me for having at least one cavity in each quadrant of my mouth (sure they gently suggested perhaps I should learn to floss, but it's their job!). Dr. Baloy did a fantastic job tackling the cavities, and referring me to an endodontist AND a periodontist (I'm telling you, my oral hygiene is not that bad, it's genetics!) when needed. The office is set up to be very open and airy and there are lovely photographs to stare at while you're waiting for your gums to get numb. To summarize - Very nice, professional staff; great service; bright and clean office. It makes going to the dentist not that bad after all.

It's like you're just a number to them giving no final explanation for full understanding of your overall checkup. I have to question things I hear them saying to one another as if you're (the patient) isn't right there in the room or if the hygienist tells me something very specific about a potential concern, the dentist doesn't speak to it unless I actually raise the question myself.
