Beware of this deceptive provider who practices bait and switch. They advertised a $37 new patient…read morespecial that supposedly included everything (exam, x-rays and adjustment). I was charged $37 that day to my knowledge when in fact was actually charged $112 the same day. This was on my statement but not disclosed to me. When I inquired I was told that this was due to a "special adjustment". Really? wow... Now that is shady, right? Here's the incredible part: I sought out this type of treatment that was recommended (by a doctor) to help alleviate chronic dizziness and fatigue. After (3) treatments I was in excruciating pain with weakness in my hand and numbness in my fingers. I was told to "hang in there" as it was the body adjusting. I cut a trip short to get to an urgent care for pain relief and began the investigation. It was a pinched nerve in my neck. Here's what it took for correction: Multiple exams, x-rays, MRI, physical therapy and a neck injection. 20% of this cost was out of my pocket. When I asked for a refund of my up front payment for their treatment plan of $1,000 it took them almost 2 months and multiple phone calls and emails to finally give this back. This is when I saw the $112 charge on my statement. It is amazing to me that under the circumstances that a provider would not simply refund a customer's money for unused services and avoid negative reviews. I held back for months to give them an opportunity to make this right and they continued to refuse to be ethical in favor of keeping $75. Simply amazing. This is a very dishonest practice.

At first the therapy was difficult because I was in so much pain. I saw Dr. Joda and after 2 visits, he suggested that Dr. Gorman try dry needling. I was up for anything that would help. I must say that it isn't a pleasant experience especially being in so much pain. After 3 session of dry needling along with therapy, the pain became tolerable. I had another of 12 visits with Dr. Joda and by the time I was done I had no pain and was able to resume all normal activities. He was wonderful and I would highly recommend IMove PT for any physical therapy needs.

I was referred to them by a friend who said they have helped her tremendously because she suffers from a bone disease. I have not suffered from anything traumatic like a car accident or worker's compensation just work at a desk 50 plus hours a week and feel totally out of whack from doing so. Not only have they helped me correct what I've done to myself, but they also have helped me prevent it by showing me stretches, better posture, and being more self conscious of how I am affecting my body. Dr. Josh and Dr. Matt take a personal interest in your care and your family. You are there about 10 minutes tops for a visit and that's from signing in, being adjusted, and saying good-bye. Yet you are apart of their family and feel extremely comfortable. I say no by Appointment Only even though I have a standing weekly appointment. Reason being is because if I have a headache from a strain in my neck they always say just come on in during our business hours. They have even offered to come in on the weekends when they were not opened if I needed it just to make sure I felt 100%.

A detailed treatment was designed and my journey began. I was always greeted by name and with a warm smile from Erin. If Erin was not available, Jen filled in with the same warm smile. They are very patient oriented, taking time to work around my schedule and answering all my questions.....no matter how many I had. The best was Dr. G (Tom Gargiula). Totally different experience from previous chiropractic adjustments. He followed the plan set out for just me and my concerns. Gentle adjustments completed with care and concern. Since my care plan began, I have noticed significant improvement in my posture, pain free knees and lower back. Also a more relaxed frame of mind, I think from the 'zone' adjustments that he does, along with a visit in the Bio Charge room! You have to experience it! In October, I tested positive for the Covid-19 virus, however, I never experienced any of the classic symptoms, never fever, never cough, never body aches, no headache, sore throat.....I only experienced an upset stomach for one day. I am 69 years old and I truly believe that the treatments I received, kept me from having a worse case. I worked next door to Dr. Melissa for many years and was a regular patient as well. I referred…read moremany co-workers from my office to her along with my family and friends. After I left the company I was working for, she recruited me to to help her market and grow her business, which I was happy to do part time from her home. I told her that I went on an interview for a full time job just too see what would come of it, and she told me that she wouldn't talk to me any more and refused to pay me for the many hours of work I did for her. I sent her invoices for the time I worked and also sent her legal information showing her that she needed to pay me according to federal law. She sent me a text saying payday was next Tuesday. This was 3 years ago and I still haven't seen anything from her. I could deal with all this until she refused to see my disabled sister any more, who had been a patient of hers for many years. My sister needed Melissa's notes to help her file for disability, and was told they were sent, but nothing was ever sent on her behalf to disability. Chiropractic was the main treatment for my sister at the time and was greatly needed. There is no excuse to deny my sister what was needed for medical reasons because she was upset with me. Beware of seeing her, just because you upset her in some way she will turn her back on you and your family/referrals. Then tell them she needs $135 cash only to see you ( yet your daughter calls in and inquires as a new patient and is told $35 to be seen!) It is unethical to deny seeing a regular patient period! For a licensed doctor of Chiropractic to NOT submit documents when requested by the government regarding a patient and their care, I have to believe is unlawful or at least unethical for anyone in a patient care profession. Please exercise caution when thinking of seeking care through West Oaks Chiropractic Care, as you may not get the full treatment you need after all.
