Prior to my wedding in 2024 I attended a wedding, which Layla catered and it was horrible. In May 2024 I had a phone call with Layla requesting my deposit back as I was not happy with the service I experienced at the wedding I attended. Layla stated she would get back to me in 1 week (by the end of May) to let me know if they can refund me. My wedding was July 2024 and I still have not heard from Layla. She never contacted me with an answer and ghosted me for my wedding. I attempted to reach out every week from May to July asking if she was refunding me or catering my wedding still and no response.. I am not out over $3,000 and had to fund last minute catering.

We used Paulina's Catering for my son's wedding Sept. 28/24. Everything she made was outstanding…read more Our guests raved about the quality and freshness of all her food. Many commented that it was the best wedding buffet they had ever had. Paulina and her staff were so prepared; they were attentive to all our needs, we had plenty of food left after everyone ate, they were polite to all our guests and they left the kitchen spotless at the end of the night. I was very concerned about having a good caterer, as I have worked in the business myself. Paulina addressed all my concerns and assured me it would all be great. I believed her and she did not let me down. I would highly recommend her to all of my friends and family or anyone else looking for a caterer.

Before dinner I sent out a friendly reminder to take as much as you need but to make sure you eat it . I often seen so much food wasted at events before . After searching for an appropriate caterer for our wedding of 160 people, I was starting to feel…read morequite overwhelmed. It seemed that nobody within our budget offered the type of traditional roast beef and ham dinner with all the fixings that we wanted. After speaking to a particularily unenthusiastic caterer, I was nearly convinced I would cater the wedding myself, until I came across Elegant Affairs. When I first spoke to John on the phone, he came across as a bit more casual than you might expect; however he seemed to have a suitable answer to all of my burning questions, and offered practical solutions to my concerns. We agreed to meet with him. My fiance and I met John at his home, where we were welcomed by his adorable pooches before being ushered into his comfortable living room. As we spoke, it became quite apparent that this man not only loved what he does, but he was AMAZING at it. He even gave us a tour of his custom industrial kitchen located in a seperate area of his home. We were convinced. We arranged the contract and agreed to drop off the deposit later that week. When we went to drop off the deposit, John generously offered us VIP passes to an event that Elegant Affairs was catering, as he had extra passes that he wasn't able to use. We accepted them enthusiastically and attended the awesome event, and sampled John's food for the first time. We fell in love with the roast potatoes and knew at that moment, dinner would be a highlight of our special day. The night before the wedding, as we were setting up the hall, I had a moment of sheer terror when I realized that I had forgotten the hall rental did not include wine glasses. It was late on a friday night and I phoned John in a panic, nearly in tears actually. He was so relaxed ad calm and eased my worries right away by offering to drop off some wine glasses to me that very night! He was literally my night in shining armour and did not make it seem like it was a big inconvienience. The big day arrived and we had a wonderful service and dinner was served. John's staff introduced themselves to us and brought our meal directly to the head table, as well as to the table with my grandparents, who have reduced mobility. The service was amazing. The food was incredible. Our guests still comment to this day on how good the food was at our wedding! If you are looking for a caterer that truly goes above and beyond, and does it with a smile, call these guys!

BBQ Acres very much is what it is. Expect to eat like a king, but don't be expecting fine china…read more If you like a lot of tasty grilled meat. This is your place and the BBQ aspect definitely earns 5 stars. If you like lots of salads and catering, this is also your gig. No complaints there either. But if you are looking for something a little more fancy than plastic cups, plates, cutlery, picnic tables in an old one story quansit, this might not be your gig. Food: definitely great and I would cater from them again. As for the party experience, the place is located pretty far out of down making driving a must and a designated driver, a very expensive cab, or a bus rental another top consideration for your event or party night. The event I went to was a BBQ then a dance. After the BBQ the DJs set up and as the room is about 10 feet high, the accoustics are terrible and you are going to get blasted by your miley or other beats. You'll definitely want to head outside or into the waiting area to hang out and chat. If you want to dance the night away, this might work quite well, allthough it is a bit poorly lit and I couldn't shake the feeling I was in a old Quansit all night. I'd go again, but I don't think I'll be booking events there anytime soon based on the venue and the transportation distance.

The office is always happy when I bring in food from A Cappella! My personal favourite thing to order is the Boxed Lunch (which comes with a sandwich, fruit salad, cookie, and either cactus cut chips or a mixed green salad). I'm also a huge fan of their lasagna and chili. Ordering is a breeze - but that may be because I order so often, I've got it pretty much down to a science and my rep knows me pretty well lol. Delivery is always super smooth - they can accommodate pretty much anything as long as you give them the right instructions. I even asked them to deliver to a trailer in the middle of our parking lot and there were no issues. Quality is great - service is friendly - and I feel like you get a good value. Highly recommended for sure!
