I booked a teacher appreciation lunch. We paid got the confirmation and then the day of the event they didn't show. I had to call 8 times to get a person who had no clue what happened and offered no options or solutions. I am now fighting with them to get my money back. My office has been using this catering company for many years. We usually order for at least 20 people and we do have a few favourites. They always deliver early or on time but never late. The staff bring everything in and set up all the food along with condiments. Our office really enjoys the Chicken with Wild Mushroom pasta, Beef Rouladen which is thinly sliced beef rolled up with a sauce and the turkey at Christmas time. The signature stuffing which is made with assorted bread, cranberry, apple, onion, celery and sage is also delicious! The baked tomatoes are juicy and so flavourful, and the cabbage rolls are tender. We also usually order the Asian Spinach Salad which has rice in it and different sandwiches for a lighter lunch option. The only item we think is too salty is the Homestyle Chili so I don't recommend it. During the Covid-19 pandemic, our office decided to order individual safe-serve meals for lunch. They offer quite a few selections and also delivered. A few people had the butter chicken with rice and cauliflower which was tasty but didn't have that much chicken in it. The stir fry chop box also did not contain enough meat. The beef rouladen with vegetables was good as usual. This catering company has a very nice selection and can supply lunch or dinner for your crowd no problem! Give them a try and you shouldn't be disappointed! read more

I use A Cappella quite regularly (about 50 times since August). They have a good selection of dishes that are individually packaged to meet my covid precaution requirements. The office is always happy when I bring in food from A Cappella! My personal favourite thing to order is the Boxed Lunch (which comes with a sandwich, fruit salad, cookie, and either cactus cut chips or a mixed green salad). I'm also a huge fan of their lasagna and chili. Ordering is a breeze - but that may be because I order so often, I've got it pretty much down to a science and my rep knows me pretty well lol. Delivery is always super smooth - they can accommodate pretty much anything as long as you give them the right instructions. I even asked them to deliver to a trailer in the middle of our parking lot and there were no issues. Quality is great - service is friendly - and I feel like you get a good value. One of the catering companies that delivers food to site as well. Useful for staff meetings or other events that prevent one and one's colleagues from heading out for lunch. They have typical fair such as soups, salads, wraps, and sandwiches. Overall the quality is similar to that of a food court. Decent, but nothing special. read more

We have been using A Capella throughout covid. We chose to have the Mushroom Madeira Chicken Pasta and it was amazing! We have had turkey and the brisket in the past and everything tastes great and large portions. We will easily get 6 more meals out of this. We will certainly be back to support this local business. Fantastic food, and you get way more than you expect from this company. We asked for catering that was delivered to our home for 10 people and got enough food to feed many more than that. The personnel were professional and punctual, and we had food on heaters to keep it nice and warm for everyone. Highly recommended for a very nice feast. read more

My coworker and I love Curbside. Every time we go she gets the same thing as she loves it. Fish tacos, Brussel sprouts, and another side. This morning I had the pleasure of trying out Curbside parked for breakfast on 99 ave and 108 street. It's nice to have a new breakfast option in the area so I was excited to try it out! My friend and I tried out the Scotch Egg (4-Whistle Farm egg wrapped in italian sausage, breaded & baked) and the "Cuppa Goodness" (Potatoes au gratin, spinach, arugula, 4-Whistle Farm egg and hollandaise). I hate giving bad reviews/low ratings but here it is. It was parked at 102nd St downtown making it really easy to find. Staff was nice as well. I ordered Austin Brisket meal with Mac n Cheese and cranberry spritzer. The sandwich itself was cold, not even the buns were warm or toasted. Brisket was dry. Not enough onions to add taste. An ideal sandwich should be tasty enough without condiments. This was not the case. Whole sandwich was unfortunately unappetizing. Mac n Cheese was too greasy. Not sure if that is oil or butter. It was all in all a sad meal for me. I did not finish the sandwich at all. $11 for that. I don't think I will go there. read more

Located near govt Center, long line that moves super fast as food must be precooked and all they do is assemble it onsite... menu shows 2 prices, so that starts the confusion when your 'ticking' off your order sheet. The lower price is for one side, but thats not mentioned at all, anywhere, and the people behind me were wondering the same thing about the 2 prices, so i asked. The lower price is for one side and the higher price is for 2 sides. Although the menu on truck says to pick any 2 sides, then they ask you at window for 2 sides, so that's kind of misleading. If you only pick 1 its the lower price... mind you, it should be mentioned somewhere that you don't have to pick 2.....anyways... .. I had one side- Mac and cheese, it was good, gooey and tasty however not hot, kinda warm. Then I had the HUGE chicken burger it was okay! The bigger the burger they say... this one was monster size.. could barely eat half... it was very tasty and whatever that jam they used oh my gosh delicious. Huge bun huge burger seriously hard to work now... much rather have a nap! For 10.50 lunch it was worth it however next time I'd request no side... I wonder if that's an option... and if so the price.. read more

Incredible food and incredible service. We had A Cappella cater our wedding last summer. They were able to provide an entirely gluten free menu and it was delicious. We had the ratatouille and roast beef and roast potatoes, as well as 3 different salads. We had a lot of leftovers too which was great to freeze. We took a chance on them because we didn't know anything about them but they had the most reasonable prices at the time. read more

We've used A Cappella for years, but they've gone downhill. After communicating back and forth about the menu, they brought a ham and egg dish to a Jewish function. When I pointed it out to our rep, she told me it was my fault because she hadn't written it down! This review is about the Curbside by A Cappella food truck: I'd never seen this truck before and they had fish tacos - yeah!! The menu said "two tortillas with battered cod, cabbage slaw, pico de gallo & avocado-cilantro cream. I asked for no avocado-cilantro cream and unfortunately ended up with no toppings except for a dab of sauce and a long thin slice of zucchini or pickle. In addition to insufficient toppings, the whole thing was so SALTY. Don't ask me where they managed to add all that salt, maybe the fish itself? Dismal experience. read more

I hired A Capella to cater our wedding, right up until the day of we had no problems. Then came dinner. Serveral things in our contract were overlooked ( I won't get into these, because they really are not big things on their own) Then we ran out of food twice! To top that off, we caught the staff bbq their own food, while my guests waited for their food. Dress was supposed to be professional for these guys, but High tops with Sweat pants and a vest, is not professional. Lastly, they were supposed to leave us the leftovers. AS PER OUR CONTRACT!!! Needless to day thay, they didn't. (this is about $400-$500 woth of food, based on how many atteneded, and what we ordered) Very calmy & politely, we went in and told the lady we had been dealing with about our problems, we were promised a call back day, that day has come and gone. My new wife and I just got married 2 days ago and chose a capella catering based on their initial response to our inquiry. We were almost immediately invited to stop by and pick up a "taste test sampling" of virtually their entire menu (though they only offer taste tests once a week) at no charge to ourselves. We received enough food for the two of us to try and still have left overs for lunch the next day. The food itself was delicious and we received compliments throughout the wedding night from all the guests. Not only was it very tasty, but there was enough leftover that we now have meals for the next two weeks. As far as the food goes, we had a number of selections that I'm trying to go through from memory: Pea pod and mushroom salad - was delightful with a nice sesame oil dressing Baby potato salad - pretty standard for tatter salad, but was nice as there was not too much mayo which I hate Pasta salad - delicious, just the right amount of sauce and the pasta was perfectly cooked Ceasar salad - part for the course was good without being over sauced Garlic mashed potatoes - freaking amazing! Broccoli and cauliflower - standard steamed vegetables, nicely cooked Great beans with almonds - I found the beans a little overcooked, but prefer them raw. Everyone else raved so there you go. Cajun chicken - delightful, chicken breasts in a Cajun cream sauce, nice and moist with a little kick to the sauce. Roast beef - served wonderfully. Slices and then rolled into wraps. And kept warm in a huge tray of au jus. Lots of flavor, not dry at all, though there was obviously no rare cuts. Stuffing - was a recipe unlike any I've had before, but most everyone liked it. Had dried cranberries and apple slices in it, so it was very moist. These were just some of the options we could have chosen, but it came together in a delicious meal. The staff arrived promptly was well dressed, polite and above all discrete. They did a wonderful job of setting up, keeping things stocked, bar tending, packing left overs and tearing down the buffet. All of which happened without the guests noting the work in progress. Additionally, the lady I was in contact with Melissa demonstrated patience beyond reason as we added, subtracted, altered and changed our guest list, table settings, menu choices, and serving requirements. To say they were accommodating is an immense understatement. And throughout our ordeal she professed that this was all part of the job. I cannot thank her enough. Everything said and done, I would not for a second hesitate to use A Capella Catering for another event. read more

We used A Cappella Catering for our staff Christmas party. I would say it was pretty decent. We did a buffet style dinner and the food was good - maybe not great but as you would expect. Some food items we had way too much of and some things not enough of and ran out really quickly. The dessert tray of assorted squares I found kind of boring. Communication with the staff was easy, they were friendly, accommodating and easy to get a hold of when making arrangements. They arrived on time and set up everything, but didn't come back at the end of the day and we had to leave all the used dishes and leftover food sitting out over the weekend. I would use this company again for staff functions but probably wouldn't be my first choice for a personal event. read more

She was helpful and friendly, and directed me to the 'request a quote' on the site. After completing the 'request a quote' I was contacted promptly by Melissa. During the ensuing email exchanges to set up the event, Melissa was friendly, very helpful and very professional. Every question I had was answered thoroughly and promptly. When 'Tony' showed up yesterday to deliver and set up the food, he too was very friendly, very helpful and very professional. I was impressed in how he interacted with me, even making the effort to introduce himself. I assisted in unwrapping the food and we had a most pleasant conversation during that time. Many guests at the event remarked on the variety, appearance, taste and uniqueness of the food. Everyone was most impressed. Often times, people and companies providing a service do just that -- provide the service. My experience with A Cappella shows a company that actively engages the customer. This short survey is yet another example of the quality of service provided. You can't achieve that behavior in employees without cultivating it and it's clear to me that A Cappella cultivates excellence in their employees. We hired A Capella to cater our wedding. We did a buffet style dinner. The tasting was awesome, they gave us enough food for 4 people to try. (it was a takeaway tasting) The day of the wedding we had 3 staff members on site, they were all professionally dressed and incredibly well mannered. The food was hot and delicious. Many of our guests said that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. For $22 a head I really can't complain with that. We had SOOOO many leftovers I have enough ratatouille in the freezer for 10 dinners. The only downside of the service would have to be that they didnt come and pick up all the leftover dishes. It wasn't a huge deal to drop the dessert stuff back there but if we didn't have a truck it would have taken two carloads. Our catering bill came to just over $2500, this included all the food for 70 people, the chafing dishes, all cutlery and dishes, coffee service, and 3 staff members who were at the hall for about 4 hours. In the beginning, it was a little difficult to get a hold of them, but once I established that I was going to go with them, I recieved emails regularly and was always called back within a day after leaving a message. The driver hit my vehicle with his trays while loading everything back into his van.Upon calling their office they said that they have to take his word over mine, even though I watched him hit it, then look at the side of my vehicle and get in his van and drive away. read more

We ordered through A Capella for our office Christmas lunch party for Dec 8th! From start to finish they were amazing and accommodating! Price was reasonable, the delivery/ set up guys were so awesome and patient as the room we were setting up in wasn't vacant until shortly after noon. The food was delicious and the portions were on point! We absolutely loved all of it! They came right away to pick up their dishes and the guy that came was so nice. He picked up all his stuff and then even cleaned and wiped up the counters with out hesitation! Honestly such a great experience from beginning to end! The food was over and hour late and was very gross. We were embarrassed to serve it to our guests. Very disappointed!

I was planning on using this company for catering for my wedding as my friend worked for them and highly recommended them. Unfotunately they don't know the meaning of customer service. Trying to get a quote was nearly impossible, it took over 3 weeks to get a quote and then over a monh to answer one simple question (simply to find out how many meats are included). They shuttled me around to 3 different people. I probably emailed them about 30 times (which sounds like a lot but I wasn't getting any replies) and they emailed 4 times in a 6 month period. I learned later that they were having a problem with the one employee (who was later fired), however I don't feel like this is an excuse for the way I was treated. It took over 6 months just to get answers to questions that were answered in the second email with another company. I guess if you're planning your wedding years advance this might work but the service was horrible and I really wouldn't trust them again. The manager did email and appologize but only after 6 months of no answers and unbelievable frustration. read more
