Horrible customer service, waited 40+ mins past my appointment time and no one came out or said anything. I had an appointment with Morris at 6 pm and I arrived at 5:55 pm, Morris was with someone still and I was instructed to wait outside for social distancing which isn't a problem. I went to my car and came back to sit on the benches they had outside and for 40+ mins I watched other people come and go for their appointments. I was overdue for a haircut and wanted to try a new barber since the last place I went to was really hit or miss (Strait Up) with crazy wait times. Even though Strait Up's prices were good ($15), waiting 3 hours for a haircut is just crazy. Checked out all the reviews for this place on here and decided to try it out. Walked in at 9:20 AM and went in expecting to wait at least an hour, but surprisingly a barber was ready to take me right away. On the haircut: excellent attention to detail and gave me the look that I wanted. Professional staff and nice setup inside. Only downside is that they only take cash, but it's only a minor inconvenience. Will definitely be coming back here again. read more

For the past few years I've hit up a cheaper barber shop for all my cuts, but the impressive quality of service here was undeniable (especially in particular to the clean fades and lineup). Andrew Walk gave me my cut, and his attention to detail and precision really shone through. Also super dope how he takes your picture at the end and keeps a portfolio of the individuals who he gives cuts. Friend didn't have as great of an experience, his respective barber apparently dawdled and often left to chitchat with an adjacent barber. A.J. really knew his stuff. My last haircut left my hair unbalanced and kind of messed up, and his suggestions were extremely helpful in making my hairstyle workable. Hilarious conversations among themselves, as well; they can get kind of strange and wild, so I can see how some other people can get uncomfortable, but I thought it was damn funny. Now this is a barber shop. Greeted as I walk in the door and not a long wait to get cut on my lunch break. Very professional barber. The haircut was exactly what I wanted and a good amount of attention was given to the trim around the neck and sideburns (not like the quick sweeping buzz of the neck by Supercuts). I like the use of the straight razor around the sideburns and neck. You don't get that attention to detail in a lot of Barber shops these days. As a bonus, the flat screens and the new/clean barber shop environment made me feel totally comfortable as if I was in the barber man cave. I've been going to Elite for the past 4 months now after a friend recommended it to me. Usually set appointments up with Irving and it's amazing how consistent he when cutting my hair. I used to stress big time when I used to goto Supercuts because I knew that I was gambling with my hair. Explaining what i want for 10 minutes and still getting a different result every time was the norm over at Supercuts. Over at Elite, I can expect the same cut that I get every time and that's what really matters. It was a little intimidating when I first came but all guys there are super nice and down to earth. Since moving to Brea I have found Elite barbers and really like the cuts I get from Morris and Jimmy, but the owner needs to get control of the appointment process. Multiple times I have set an appt and came in prior to the appt time, only to find somebody in the chair my appt time not being honered. Normally not a big issue but on days where I am on my lunch break, I appreciate them honoring the appt time! This is super frustrating and really shitty of this place. The barbers are good to go but they need to square away the business in regards to appointments. read more

As men, we all need haircuts atleast twice a month to look clean. I have been coming here for over a year. And have been getting my haircuts from Aj for the past 5 years. He never disappoints me with any cuts. This place is a hidden gem in La Habra, Brea area. They always have 5+ barbers working so if you are ever around, just check it out to see if anyone can cut your hair. They also do appointments which saves your time either online or call in. They are very helpful with what kind of haircut you want to get & to top it off, they dont use cheap products to put on your hair. And if you are ever waiting, you wont be bored because they have good music going on at all times and they got HD tvs around the barbershop. If you ever get close with anyone, you can also play video games with them. Im not a big video gamer so i dont play it. But i have my money on the workers! Outstanding - these guys spend the time necessary to get your cut right. Other places may be a few bucks cheaper, but there seems to be a timer started the minute you sit down - not that the amount of time taken directly correlates to a great haircut but a true artist takes his time with his or her craft to get the job done right. This is probably the best haircut I have had at any place in many many years. I am glad to have tried this place out and hope all the barbers there are the type of artist I got today. One thing u should know is cash only so bring some greenbacks - I don't usually return to cash only places but this place was that good to be worth the trouble of a trip to the ATM prior to coming in. Unreliable and unprofessional. I've never written a review before but I'll try to save you some time. Made an appointment four days ago online only to show up to a closed shop... Then, made another appointment and receive a call hours before that they cancelled it because my barber left due to an "emergency" and couldn't even get me another barber... Always very unprofessional and do not pay attention to customers. Raise their prices around holidays.. Very money driven. Go somewhere else that deserves your business. read more

Worst hair cut of my adult life. The clown who cut my hair should put down the clippers and find another profession. The back of my head is so messed upon viewing it one would think 'barber prank' more than 'bad day at Supercuts.' I walk in and ask for a trim tell the barber, aka Hack, it has been about a month since my last hair cut. Ask him to clean up the back and sideburns and take a little off the top. Hack breaks out the clippers and starts going to town. After twenty minutes and a few snips with the scissors he stops. A few minutes go past and he hasn't said anything or handed me a mirror. Hack is just standing behind me. I am talking to the guy in the chair next to me so I think maybe Hack is waiting for a pause in our conversation. A few more minutes go by before I finally ask if he is done. Hack says yes and takes off the smock thing. Doesn't hand me a mirror or turn me around to see his handiwork. I get the feeling I am in trouble. Get out of the chair to fish out my wallet and take a look at the front in the mirror. Amateurish but not bad. Give Hack a twenty and head out the door. When I get home I take a look at the back of my head. Complete disaster. I can't believe this is the work of an actual barber. Hack should have paid me for letting him practice on my head. Let's add up the bad. 1) took my hairline up more than an inch above normal 2) so short in spots you see nothing but skull 3)didn't even attempt to blend the back - think the Big A since there is a distinct field level, terrace and upper deck 3) there are three distinct lines running across the back and all of them are crooked 3b) at the bottom there is a curved line that bends up in the middle the is a line running from left to right at about a 25 degree angle and toward the top there is another curve but this one bends down 4)where the back meets the top my hair is a jagged mess as well The next day I go to a barber in Fullerton and ask him if he can do anything to fix it. I get in the chair, he looks around, feels the back of my head and starts laughing as he asks if I cut it myself. The only way to "fix" the mistakes is with a high and tight. I will look fairly ridiculous for the next month but at least people won't think I cut my own hair using a lopsided bowl, a disposable razor and a pair of pruning shears. Part of me blames all the 5 star reviewers for not including the caveat 'for the love of God don't let anyone but Irving cut your hair.' read more
