Great convo! Great haircut! I'm used to getting haircuts from Asian barbers so their price compared to the haircut I got this evening is what it is. I'd come back again! read more

Monaco Barbers West - Barbershop entrance - Barbers Near Me - Fullerton, California

Fantastic service! Very homey and comfortable atmosphere. Shop is on the smaller side but that is enough for a quick walk in. Took my boyfriend here for a haircut and Skylar did a great job! He really took his time to make sure my partner's hair fit his head well and delivered exactly on what he asked for. Also was very kind and asked many questions throughout to ensure that he was getting the haircut he wanted. There is also a shop crow. I have never seen anything like it but the owner allowed me to pet his bird and it was very nice and calm. Overall recommend for a quality haircut if you're in the area! Thanks Skylar! Ask for him when you come in. read more

Best Quality, best service. The vibe of going in is nice and relaxing and you'll always know when you walk out no matter what your hair is going to look good and your ready for any meeting or look you want. Found this place one random day leaving school and ever since then I always come here and take the long drive because it's worth it. I will not get my hair done anywhere else but here because it's always a fantastic job. read more

The place is complete garbage I said a little off the side they did a 1 on the side the customer service is terrible he was pulling my hair as well , don't come here Edit: the owner is more plastic and malleable than I thought. Rude, inattentive and ultimately disrespectful. I'd rather try to cut my own hair than come to you. read more

One of the best places to come get a haircut, I come weekly, and I haven't been disappointed once. Usually I would recommend to do an appointment, but I never had to wait to long as a walk in. Brian gives quality cuts. Very easy to talk too and the place itself is a vibe. Father and son team and always have classic 80s/90s movies playing in the background. Pricing is reasonable. Love supporting local businesses! Give them a chance! read more

Monaco Barbers West - Left me with a new look I love - Barbers Near Me - Fullerton, California

Has done my hair...what's left of it, and my 2 boys haircuts time and time again. Very good at the Barber's craft.

I've been coming here for 10 years. Theo has always given me a great haircut. I've never had any problems. He's very accommodating and personable. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a barber. read more

Theo is a cool guy and does good work. But Im always waiting super long times for my turn and just got turned away after making an appointment just earlier in the day. I usually go for the convenience since I live right across the street, but it is no longer convenient for me. If you're busy just say so and stop booking appointments, people will understand. Peace out Theo read more

Wish I found this place sooner. Cool guy and very good at what he does. Explained what kind of haircut I wanted and it turned out a lot better than I've had going to other places. I recommend calling ahead just to make sure he has time to fit you in during the day. read more

They cut hair, their prices are relatively competitive and they do a good job. Somehow, though, they gave this impression that they need to be talking...at all times...to whoever...about anything. They asked me how my day was, if I'm from the area, etc. I answered and tried to strike up conversation but it usually ended when they'd said something slightly crazy. Here's an example of one such instance: BARBER 1: "So, you from the area?" ME: "No, I'm actually here temporarily for work." BARBER 1: "Oh yeah? What do you do?" ME: "I basically do computer programming." BARBER 1: "Computers, huh? My friend and I tried to put together a porn site a while back." ME: "Really..." BARBER 2: "You still working on that?" BARBER 1: *laughs* "Yeah. It's going ok. Not making any money on it yet, but..." That particular conversation went on without much more from me or the only other customer than a chuckle here or there. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the guy telling us about his business ventures...but going from "Are you from the area?" to "I run a porn site" seems a bit of a stretch. Thankfully they cut hair quickly as well and I only had to deal with forced conversation for about 5 to 10 minutes. read more

Took me forever to find a barber that i liked, and that could do a man's haircut well. Theo does a real nice job. Whats important, is that I'm not very good at describing what I need, and yet he gets it right. I like it for the price on it. $15 for a cut. Whats nice is they have a TV going, so you can get a cut and watch "Hot Tub Time Machine"! read more

Got a cut earlier from this place. I usually get my haircut from a friend, but was on a time crunch today, so I went to Monaco's since it's down the street from my house. The owner Theo was very nice and did a great job. I got a fauxhawk and would definitely come back again if my friend is too busy or if I just need a quick convenient cut. Keep up the good work sir! read more

Don't come here Try to set up appointment at 3pm with the owner, He confirmed to go the route with 3pm I arrived 5 mins early Doing so I try to make my way in finding the door to be lock and the windows tinted black so I couldn't tell if anyone was open to let me in 5 mins later the owner steps out letting me in know he has to run off somewhere to get supplies I then come to ask when he'll be back because I had no problem waiting for him He then stated that he didn't know and told me to wait at Target for him to be back with an unknowing time when he'll be back No respectful And lack of communication on the owners end read more

honestly best barbershop i've gone too!! the amount of detail that goes into your haircut is just in another level. they take the time and effort into making sure it's the haircut you want precisely. i highly recommend it to anyone and worth every penny read more

It's just what you expect from a barber shop - crazy crap on the wall, a everyman barber with a crude sense of humor, and less than $20 for a haircut. All these things are why I keep coming back, even though I'm living in Corona these days. I started getting my hair cut by Theo when I lived in the apartments south on Placentia. He's a good guy to talk to, always friendly. Definitely a guy's barber shop though, with lots of cursing, so don't bring your kids in if you don't want them learning new words. Again, it's this sort of atmosphere that makes the place appealing, at least to us guys. At the time of writing, Theo (the owner) is the only barber, and he's there most days, but you'll want to call ahead to make sure he's not on lunch or messing with electronics in the back when nobody's in the chair. If you see his big-ass truck in the parking lot, chance s are he's in the shop somewhere. He's got his number posted on the window if you don't see him in front or the door's locked. If you like the things you've read in my review, check him out. He gives good haircuts and he's a straight shooter. Cash only though, so get some cash back from the local Target if you only have a card. read more

TLDR; Great place. May be a long wait depending what time you go since there's only 1 chair. Local gem. Call ahead. -- It was a Sunday and I was desperately looking for a barber to cut my hair. It was near closing time for everyone else (5pm) so they wouldn't take me in. Looked in Yelp and saw this place closed at 7pm. (it actually doesn't, it's more special request). I had to call the number on the door to ask if he could give me a cut right now and he gladly did after his break. Theo is the owner and the only person working here I believe. There's only 1 chair. The atmosphere is one of the coolest atmospheres I've ever seen at a barbershop. There's tons of collectibles around the shop, military ranking badges, and lots of other cool stuff. Seems he's some sort of collector after chatting with him. He had to give a cut to his buddy that made an appointment before me, which was fine since he was the only barber that was "open" at the time. After talking to his buddy, I found out he's been around Placentia for 15 years now. This barber is a true gem of Placentia. He's very talkative, always has something to talk about. If you're new he really tries to get to know you. When I first sat down, he immediately pointed out that the last barber did a terrible job. Explained to me what was wrong, something the average joe like me never really thought about. Pointed out my trim was uneven (i did notice this before) and that my part was actually slanted. I got a simple cut. 1 fade with a trim. Theo gave me the best haircut I've ever had. No stray hairs, the trim was even, the part was perfect, the fade was perfect. He told me if I wanted any adjustments to come in within 3 days. read more

Best barber around!!!! Theo is one of the coolest cats you can have cut you hair. I came in knowing I needed a haircut but had no idea whatsoever what I wanted done, then Theo helped me decide on a look and I couldn't been any happier! 10/10 recommend! read more

When I first moved to Fullerton, I had a tough time finding a Barber who could actually cut a proper Faux Hawk! So glad I walked into Monaco West that day. I'll never go anywhere else for a cut! Theo is a Prodigy with Clippers and Scissors! Very attentive to his Patrons, and makes the vision of your haircut spring to life! I must warn, however, Monaco West is not for the Faint of Heart! Theo is a man's man in every sense! The banter is fun and edgy, but could be taken offensively to those with a weak intellectual constitution. read more

Great shop! Not for kids. NC17. $14 a cut. Watch a guy movie while you wait or one of the gentlemen periodicals.

I literally came in last week and sat down and waited for almost two hours only to get denied because the barber told me he doesn't do razor lines of any kind into hairstyles nor does he do facial hair trims but I never asked for a facial hair trim? The guy seemed nice except the fact that I kept hearing old school heterosexual arrogance between men trying to be alpha towards each other in attempts of proving ones superiority by seeing who can talk the most the shit and using the most "f" bombs. It's a pretty unprofessional environment as far as dialogue goes but I guess this is what locals act like in a conservative ass town where it's normal to talk shit to your fellow customers & allies. I mean I did laugh a few times but I also felt a little uncomfortable plus I pretty pissed that i got turned away after dude couldn't even do a simple thing because he didn't feel confident! Lmao, if you can't do certain things man, have fun losing money because I was gonna tip your ass solidly. I don't care, went to Real Barbers and got the haircut of my life who actually know how to diversify their techniques when it comes to cutting hair unlike this small ass barbershop. Don't go here if you want an actual REAL haircut that includes lines or anything out of the ordinary. They should rename this place, super cuts. And yeah I know you're reading this and you're probably pissed barbers but I'm a customer and have the right to be pissed. I won't be coming here EVER, again and neither will my friends. read more

He has been cutting my hair since 1983. He always does a great job every time. Always happy with his work. Thanks again Theo.

Theo was putting the finishing touches on a homemade Tesla coil constructed atop the pool table in the middle of the room the first time I walked into Monaco. I took my seat and he came over after a quick test of the Tesla coil and started asking a bunch of questions about how I wanted my hair to be cut. He was very thorough and made sure my hair turned out exactly how I wanted it. Our conversation topics ranged from physics, to his massive truck, to how to handle police, and everything in between. I will definitely be returning. read more

Stumbled in to this shop because it was close to school and I was in need of a quick cut. The owner of the shop is an extremely respectful dude and his years of experience really show in his work. Love the environment as well as respect the amount of time he will spend on you individually to make sure you are getting exactly what you're looking for. Never has it been so easy for me to talk to a barber to figure out what will look best on me. Have recommended him to 10+ other students and all have since been return customers.
