I went to Juan to get a valve cover replacement since he diagnosed the pvc was bad everytime he opened the motor cap it went away but the car had a whining sound.This would be the third time I get my car service at this shop.I bought all the parts from fcp euro oem valve cover and spark plugs ,coil and a starter.He gave a high quote but I thought WTF the shop is close to me and they stand by their work.The car was there for almost two days.I paid Juan cash,tipped the mechanic and took my car.After driving it for about 30 minutes the same noise was still there.I went back and spoke to Juan and the mechanic and they both looked at me and said "we did everything the way it should be done- probably the pvc came defective".I told him "this is a brand new valve cover not a used one, ok I'll call and get another sent out to me and return this one" He asked me if the company will pay for labor -- WTF.. Basically telling me I would have to pay for the whole job again.When I ask him what he meant he told me his mechanic has to work on the car again which is about 5 Hrs of labor which was the same price $700 not to mention the $1100 he initially charged for the whole job.He was very dismissive and didnt want to stand behind his work or guarantee it .Absolutely absurd! This is not how a business should conduct business. I could of taken it anywhere else for half the price. I had to take it to my mechanic and pay again for the job to be done the right way... these guys at elite are clowns. Guess what my mechanic found out .These Fucktards at ELITE AUTO WORK knew exactly what they did and never told me a thing.The mechanic snap one of the screws in half then tried to take it out with a tap and snap that inside trying to take the screw out and left that inside.He then put silicone around the new valve cover,cut an old screw or put the same one he snapped with silicone.I guess he put silicone just so it would look like it was screwed in.Instead of just taking out the screw and the tap that he broke. This would of never worked with all the pressure inside the valve cover when the car is on.So basically you charge your consumer double for your mechanics incompetence & dishonesty. this place is garabage. they had my car for over a week. I told them there was a noise in the clutch. clearly the throw-out bearing. they never even took the transmission apart. never fixed the noise it was making and charged me over 900$. to not do anything to the car. when the noise was coming from the exhaust not even the clutch. they tried to get me to put a new clutch in it. when if you were under the car you could clearly see the issue was the exhaust. i also asked them to change the alternator. they didnt even look at it they just cleared the code on my ecu. i took the car to bristol motors in florida ny on 94. Rick was very helpful he fixed multiple issues on the car and the car is now running like a top for less than what elite charged me to do nothing!!! read more

A very nice shop in the Goshen area. It's the closest place I found from where I live and the work they do is solid. You can tell from the cars they have in the garage that this place mods many performance cars. I took my 2013 BMW 335ix here to install front mount intercooler, charge pipe, catless downpipe, jb4, front splitter, and rear spoiler. I also got my summer tires and new apex arc-8 rims mounted here. We did run into a problem while installing the charge pipe because it was the wrong part. But that was my fault and after I got the right part installation was smooth. They did spend a lot of time trying to install the charge pipe and it added to labor cost. It happened to be a bit more than I like, but it was still quite fair. The shop is also very clean. I do plan to come here for future maintenance and inspection needs. Juan the guy at the reception was very nice and patient. Ryan is the one who works on BMW's and he did a very solid job with installation of the mods. They also gave me a run down of how the jb4 works. Overall I'm very happy with the customer service here. read more

Elite Auto Works NY are the best. My husband bought a truck at Haley. The car had a recall that they never fixed (engine light) they said they need to charge him like $14,000 average for a new transmission. They even gave him fake pictures from another car's pieces of a dirty filter and so. We were devastated! Juan (the owner) figured out the problem and problem was solved with a change of oil and other small adjustments. They are awesome! read more

Juan is a stand-up guy who is a pleasure to deal with. He and the rest of the staff clearly love what they do. I've driven past the shop at times when they're supposed to be closed and seen them burning the midnight oil. The prices are reasonable and there are great coupons that come with the receipts -- an awesome way to gain loyalty in customers. On one occasion last year, I brought in my car for a check engine light. Juan replaced the part that AutoZone thought was the culprit but the light wouldn't go off. He kept my car for an extra day and wasn't able to determine the problem. At that point, he said that he wasn't able to do anything else for me. I appreciated the honesty and that he didn't try to charge me for more work that he wasn't sure would solve the issue. read more

I was a very early customer and the first to write a review on Yelp, and I loved them back then. But I have to admit Elite has slipped a lot over the years. Most of the original guys are gone and nowadays they are consistently disorganized. Last time I got an oil change they took out my air filter to try to sell me a new one, and when I said no (because it was only a month old) they forgot to put it back in. I had to go back the next day to get it. Half the time they are too focused on working on their own rice burners to even bother sending anyone up to the front desk to take care of customers. I was there last month, stood around in the waiting room by myself for a few minutes, and gave up. I went to Mike's Auto Care instead, and they did a great job. No more Elite for me. read more

Attempted to do a brake job on my car but was unsuccessful as I thought I needed new calipers. They accommodated me to bring the car right before they were closing, and had my car back first thing in the morning when they opened. They also managed to save all 4 calipers which would have costed a fortune otherwise. Everyone I spoke with was very nice and extremely knowledgeable, and my brakes feel amazing how they should. These guys do it all...alignments, repairs, custom work, detailing, etc. I went to them for custom exhaust work and I was able to see Jon (head technician) do all the welding. I had minor issues with the exhaust and it took a few trips to get it corrected, but they didn't charge me once to fix it. They did whatever it took to get the job done. Highly recommend this place for all your auto needs. The owners, technicians and front desk personnel are knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Most garages i've visited over the years were dirty and always had either a gasoline or oily smell; if the techs came out to speak with you their clothes were filthy.
