Large purchases regarding things outside of my wheelhouse can be daunting lol The employee who met me at the front desk was great - with a glance he knew the size of tire I'd need, pulled up the options for brands and prices for me, explained the differences between them so I could make an informed purchase, and not 20 minutes later I was done and heading home on four new tires. My SUV suspension just "felt off" and the techs at this shop discovered one of my sway bar links were completely broken. Don't ask me what that is but Good Lord they were able to fix me right up pronto. Thankfully I didn't need to leave my car her for 3 weeks like many mechanics ask you to do, well not exactly 3 weeks but they tend to take longer than a day at times. This team had me fixed up same day. The mechanic also told me my brakes were pretty worn out but that I could go a little longer before replacing them to save some money and get the most from my current brakes (rear). I value honesty and fair prices which in turn gets my respect & loyalty so the fact the mechanic told me my brakes were wearing out but he didn't want to take my money (yet) when I could get more life out of the brakes I currently have really is amazing. I was super thankful for the honest assessment of my brakes and opted to change them now rather than later. Besides I don't drive much so the brakes I had were probably last replaced about five years ago so from years of weather my rotors certainly looked bad, at least to an amateur like me because I'm certainly no mechanic. Overall I am super happy to have found this place and am committed to being a loyal customer for as long as I live in the Goshen area. If I eventually get a brand new car sadly the team here won't see me for a long time until that new car ages but I'd still recommend them in a heart beat. For now we will have a lasting business relationship for the next few years till my current SUV dies on me, hopefully not too soon under the care of these auto experts. With barely any shoulder and massive…read moresemis blowing by us like bolt/ of jagged lightening, my superhero husband got down on the ground, banged some metal rods back into place and changed the tire while his wife prayed and his three kids slept. The next morning, the chipper superhero (we will call him Trailblazer) optimistically announced to the family that he had found some fellow superheroes of the tire world at Tire Discount Center. He headed out while the fam cuddled in for some Scooby Do cartoons, and was back within 30 min. The team dropped everything they were doing, lifted the camper while attached to the car, and had those tires replaced in a matter of minutes (Trailblazer approximates 12 minutes). What a great team! It was like a NASCAR pit crew in there! Trailblazer met his match, and thankfully they were fighting for the same team. Bring your torn up tires to Tire Discount Center!

We have always used Goshen Car Wash for our inspections and never had an issue. So I decided to…read moretake my car (Lexus RX) to them for an alignment thinking it's an easy service, and the location is convenient. Why not try to support another local business instead of going to the Lexus dealer. I called them and they took me in the same day for an alignment plus tire rotation. Once my car was done they had it parked outside and I paid the cashier. I drove off and I felt like my steering wheel was still off, maybe slightly more than before because I can see behind the steering wheel column. So I called Charlie and asked if he could just double check it, and he was so nice and didn't hesitate. So a few days later I brought my car back in for them to check it. Once again when it was done my car was parked outside and ready to go. I decided to go into the alignment building and ask how my alignment was. Charlie explained I "must have hit a pothole for my front tire to be off so much." I'm sure I didn't hit a pothole but I just let it go. Now I asked if I could get an alignment printout because I never got one the first time. Charlie went and printed a copy for me. He then explained to me, while showing me the alignment paper, that I will "eventually need new cambers but he would need to order aftermarket parts." He also advised me that my "alignment will be good for now" I told him no problem, I will let my husband know. I tipped the mechanic and off to my car. Now I start my car but can't find the fob. I'm looking everywhere. I know the key is in there because it started, but I can't find it. I run back in and the mechanic apologized that he dropped it between the seat but forgot to get it. No biggie, he found it and I drove off. Well.... Now my steering wheel is even worse! The minute I pulled out you could see and feel it was clearly off. I seriously couldn't believe it!! I told my husband what Charlie said about my cambers, I showed him the printout, and then he decided to test drive my car. Since the car was worse he ended up going to a place in Middletown. Come to find out they never aligned my rear. I attached the alignment sheet below. The guy also told my husband it should be illegal to try to sell me cambers. I am going assume Charlie tried to sell me something my car has and doesn't need. Now thankfully my steering wheel is finally back to normal, and she's driving like new. But to top it off TWO of my coworker's had a similar experience there. Except they were smart enough to not go back. So thinking about my experience with them, I explained to my husband, I feel this review will be more effective than calling Charlie, explaining their error(s) and asking for a refund. They don't have to ever worry about me ever utilizing their business again, but I hope they will start being honest, and if that's not the case, hire competent mechanics. Unfortunately I can't recommend Goshen Carwash, and never will, because I believe they take advantage of customers, especially woman. .**CUSTOMERS BEWARE **

Not only did Chester Valley give me a great competitive price, the shop came highly recommended and the work they did backs those recommendation. They not only saved me a boat load of cash, they did an outstanding job on my new muffler. I certainly plan on returning for tires and any other mechanical work that is within their abilities (e.g. brakes, rotors, mufflers). If they can't fix it mechanically they will recommend someone that is just as reliable. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this small shop that's been in the region since the valley was discovered by early settlers.

It's hilarious that you have to pay for a NYS inspection to make sure your vehicle is safe for the road but in all reality our roads aren't safe for our vehicles. Anyways, We got it there and they were happy to help. Unfortunately finding two matching 255/35/19Z tires for an all wheel drive system on a Saturday proved to be difficult and had to have them overnighted to CVT. Unfortunately in the world of FedEx, overnight means 4 days later but that's a whole new review. Once the tires arrived the CVT team got is up and running for an extremely reasonable price. Not to mention they didn't charge any storage fee for the five days the car was there. Kudos to not being money hungry animals! Thanks guys for helping us out!

It unfortunately wouldn't let me leave zero stars that's the only reason this business is getting…read moreone. On 11/23/25, I went to Mavis for two front tires and asked if they had time to do my inspection. Shortly after, they pulled me into the garage and claimed all four brakes, rotors, and several other parts--including my battery--needed replacing. When I asked for an itemized estimate, they refused, saying they couldn't show me anything until the work was done but they would try to give me a good deal. I requested a temporary inspection sticker so I could take my car to my regular mechanic, and they told me they couldn't because they had already removed my current sticker. I later learned it's illegal to remove a valid sticker before inspection date is expired. They insisted it had expired in June but could not show it to me until they "found" it after I pushed. Even then, they refused to give it to me and hesitated to let me photograph it. They also told me I "needed" new tie rods but would charge me for a battery instead "to save money," even though a battery isn't required to pass NYS inspection and my tire rods were not serviced, nor documented on any kind of paper. In the end, I was charged nearly $2,000 for repairs I didn't want, after they created a situation where I couldn't decline the work. I felt pressured to say yes so I was able to get my car back after they refused to issue me a temporary sticker. I was given a few different reasons why and then lastly told they "misunderstood" what I was asking for when I asked for a 10 day temporary. Their actions were both unethical and illegal. I will be contacting Mavis to resolve this, but I will also be reporting the shop to the DMV.
