Started with Baba Ghanough - Chilled eggplant with sesame paste, lemon juice & olive oil. Hummus Elissar - a blend of chickpeas and basil pesto and topped with pomegranate seeds. This was so good. Shish Tawouk - 2 Chicken skewers served with grilled tomato, onions and garlic sauce. The chicken was tender and could have used a bit more flavor. Truly authentic Lebanese food and a nice enjoyable evening. I recommend making a reservation if you want to sit inside. read more

A friend recommended we come here to eat delicious Lebanese food. We were seated outside in front of the restaurant, and everything was very delicious! Service was wonderful, and even though it was sunny on a warm sunny day, the table we sat at was shady and faced away from the sun. There were multiple birthdays being celebrated when we were there, so the ambiance was lively and cheerful. We dined at the place last night to celebrate a birthday. I had made the reservation in advance. And I'm glad I did because the restaurant was full with outdoor seating as the evening progressed. We ordered a bunch of stuff and everything was delicious. Here is a list of the vegetarian food we got: - Falafel: so good. It's a good size portion, and the falafels were crispy and tasty. - Hummus: good. The bread it came with was delicious. - Zaatar Bread: this is more like a pizza than Zaatar bread pieces. I love Zaatar, and this was so so good. I wish I had more space in my tummy to stuff the whole thing in. It was that good. - Patatas Bravas: these are the seasoned potatoes and were so good. The flavors and seasoning of the potatoes were amazing. We also got some pudding as dessert, which was ok. Best Lebanese food! Just go! Great ambiance, nice staff, great service, outstanding food! If you are looking for something other than schnitzel, look no further! We had the fattoush salad and it was so refreshing! The pomegranates make it! We also had the salad malwouf, it was like a coleslaw and really tasty! The salads are large, so splitting one between 2 people is recommended. We then had the beef kafta skewers and the chicken skewers, both were fabulous! They come with some yummy dipping sauce, charred veggies and the best saffron rice or the best fries, either one is a hit, can't go wrong. We had different appetizers for all, hummus, labne, muhammara, baba ganoush, stuffed wine leaves, okra, and falafel and everything was plated beautifully. It's a quiet restaurant (for now until people discover it) with incredible decor and excellent service and wonderfully seasoned and flavored food (Lebanese food, which is like a mix of Israeli and mediterranen food I'd say). It's quite reasonably priced for being in the first district/inner city and is a short walk from Stadtpark. Both times I went I didn't have a reservation and was sat with no issues. Everyone I encountered was pleasant and most of the staff spoke German and English. I ordered the chai latte which I can't recommend it enough (it's like drinking whipped cream in a frothy texture with the chai flavor). I also ordered the gurken Salate and a version of kofta which were both delish. Overall this place has two massive thumbs up from me. read more

We very much enjoyed our dinner here. It is in an energetic neighborhood. The ambiance is OK, not great, especially in the back room which seems less cozy than the front. The highlight is the food. We both had meat dishes and they were delicious. The spicing was perfect -- strong but not uncomfortable. We have Lebanese restaurants at home but they don't taste this good. If I could leave zero stars I would. Food was ok. However, we had terrible experience with the management. After we paid the bill, we noticed they charged us for drink and appetizer we never had! Who does that!?? When we complained, the manager came and acted almost like we were the bad guy, and kept raising his voice. This would NEVER happen in NYC! We made decent bill and pretty much nobody was sitting there until we came, and this is how we were treated??? If anyone from the USA is ever coming to Vienna, please avoid this place at all costs. Not only that you will be paying for the food you didn't order, but you will also be treated horribly by the waiters and the management. I am never coming back to this place. We had an artichoke which was spectacular as well as chicken wings. But they do a mixed meat flatbread pizza that was spectacular. Outstanding service and delicious food. I am of Lebanese descent and know the food well. Our group of 4 had the calamari, lamb chop, chicken, and lamb kefte (me). The appetizers were the tabouli, falafel, and Elissar Hummus. Pita bread is provided. We liked all of the meze (appetizers) and main courses except the chicken. My friend said it was just "ok", having not eaten all of it. Personally, I wouldn't go to a Lebanese restaurant and order chicken, but I guess he wasn't a major Middle East foodie, either. Our main complaint was the slow service. It wasn't very busy on our arrival, but was when we left. Everything took more time than I'm used to. From when we sat down to our main course arrived was 1 hour and 45 minutes. The main course was about 50 minutes from when ordered. The waiter said the chicken was taking this time at one point. We were never checked on after receiving our meals, or offered more beverages. We are first time visitors in Vienna, so I'm not totally familiar with the normal pace of life here, but it all seemed too slow; ordering drinks, then appetizers, and finally food. We had to ask for the tab, which I understand to be normal in Vienna. With normal service, I'd give it 4 stars. I would have liked a few more menu choices. Quantity was great. Ambience great. We have been there once on friends' recommendation and food was good. Wanted to try it again unfortunately no luck. It was only this one waiter who told his colleagues to turn us down by telling us all tables are booked although it was only 5:30 pm and the majority of the tables were free. They didn't even make an effort - it could have been we have only one table for one hour available leaving us a choice to take it or leave it. The waiter only saw dark skin and was enough for him to decide that there were no table available. We read so many great reviews but we thought the food was ok and the service was truly awful, the person who sat us down and then took our order was just beyond condescending. We sat inside, they do have nice indoor and outdoor seating. I asked the waiter if he spoke English and he did so I asked what the 4 aperitifs were that were listed on the menu as I did not know the translation, he laughed at me and said they were aperitifs. I said ok I will have a glass of wine then, it was more like a half of glass a wine. We started with a lamb and pita appetizer that was good, not great it was a little on the bland side. After our appetizer we waited 40 minutes without our waiter checking on us once. When it reached an hour I got his attention and asked if our dinner might be ready soon and he gave me the worst look and said 'of course your dinner is coming' and then stormed off. The dinner arrived two minutes later and my food was cold perhaps sitting out for a while. I had lamb kabobs and the serving size was in the smaller size, I was still hungry after dinner and the food was just very ordinary, I have been to much better Lebanese restaurants. If it were not for the incredibly rude service I likely would have given a 2 for food and 3 for overall atmosphere.
