Best meal we had in Vienna!
Located on Schubertring across from Ritz Carlton and a short walk to Hofburg Palace, Opera, & Kartnerstrasse, but most definitely not a tourist trap. One of the more expensive meals we had, but not outrageous and well worth it.
Everything was delicious - we had bruschetta & caprese salad for appetizers. Caprese came with tasty "truffle honey." For main course - I had the tuna, my husband had duck, 8 y.o. son had chicken caesar, 10 y.o. son had schnitzel. All were wonderful. The schnitzel is made with veal, not pork like most other restaurants. The portion size is smaller as a result (veal is more expensive), but it tastes much better (and frankly the pork schnitzel ridiculously took up the entire plate - too much food and no place to keep left overs). We did not stay for dessert but the chocolate souffle & sorbets were tempting.
The waiter was lovely. At the start of meal he asked if we wanted the kids food to come out first, which was a smart move given the kids were tired and hungry after day of sightseeing.
They opened in October 2014, so they don't have the history many nearby restaurants and cafes have, but they have them beat on food and service. I hope more people will discover this place!
