Called Residential Express for a full-system replacement quote in October. Was pleased with the…read moreexperience, which simply involved taking measurements and asking what changes I might want with the setup--much better than the high-pressure sales pitch from the bigger companies in the area. We pushed off the replacement thinking our unit would survive one more winter, but of course of furnace went out unexpectedly in the middle of the night during one of the coldest stints of the season. Called Residential Express the following morning, they pulled up my quote from 4 months prior, verified the price hadn't changed and were able to schedule me for a full HVAC replacement the next day. Freddie and Flavian arrived on time and were very professional moving through our house and working in our backyard and utility closet. They explained any changes they needed to make, went over the new setup and recommended service intervals, and hauled all of the old equipment away, leaving our house looking better than when they arrived. Very happy with our experience with Residential Express and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Literally wearing a sweater and two sweater wraps. New HVAC filter, reset breaker. Thermostat batteries are fine. Still not kicking on. Sent Yelp message to RES because they have always been quick to respond. And they did this time as well and the woman who gave me a call was nice and tried to help. Pretty disappointed that they can't quickly swing by today. From what I've read, it's likely a dirty flame sensor or the ignitor switch (neither of which is a long job - I just don't have the tools). HVAC less than 5 years old, so parts are under warranty with RES; however, I had to call someone else. Bottom line: Someone else is coming today, but I could end up paying for parts. Kind of feels like my current needs weren't lucrative enough for RES to make a concerted effort to swing by.

Unfortunately, my experience over the past year caused me to lose confidence in the company. My scheduled maintenance appointment was missed during the confirmed service window, and I had to call to find out what happened. On another occasion, a plumbing appointment was rescheduled after it had already been confirmed, creating unnecessary inconvenience. During a later service visit, I received repair and maintenance recommendations that seemed far higher than what I ultimately found elsewhere. While everyone should get multiple estimates, the differences were significant enough that I decided to seek other opinions. The most disappointing part was the customer service. I completed a satisfaction survey, emailed management twice, and was promised follow-up calls that never came. As a long-time customer, I expected someone to take ownership of my concerns. That never happened. The technicians I interacted with were professional and courteous, so this review is not about them. It's about the company's lack of responsiveness when a long-term customer raised legitimate concerns. After 15 years, I canceled my maintenance agreement and moved my business elsewhere. That's something I never expected to do, but the trust that had been built over many years was lost.

chose AG Heating Cooling Duct Cleaning in 2025 because their quote was cheaper than other…read morecompanies. I paid approximately $7,900 for the installation of a new Trane HVAC system. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a very expensive mistake. The Trane air conditioning system they installed had refrigerant leaks from the very beginning due to poor installation workmanship. The company promised a one-year warranty and service support, but they never came to inspect the system despite multiple requests. Because we have another HVAC unit serving the attic and the outdoor temperatures were not extremely high for much of the year, we did not realize there was a problem until the summer of 2026, when the weather became much hotter. At that point, we discovered that the newly installed system had essentially lost all of its refrigerant and was barely providing any cooling. After contacting AG again, they finally came out but charged additional fees for leak detection. Even after charging for diagnostics, they were unable to identify any leaks. Instead, they attempted to sell me an additional "leak sealant" service for approximately $395, which I declined. I then hired another HVAC company. They were able to quickly locate two refrigerant leaks, both at the original brazed joints installed by AG. These leaks were found directly at the installation connections and strongly suggest poor workmanship during the original installation. After I provided this information and evidence to AG, the company stopped responding entirely and ignored all further communications. As a result of the prolonged refrigerant loss, I am now concerned that the compressor may also have suffered damage from operating under low refrigerant conditions. I strongly recommend that homeowners carefully consider other HVAC contractors before hiring this company. A lower initial price is not worth poor workmanship, lack of warranty support, unnecessary additional charges, and being abandoned when serious installation problems are discovered. Extremely disappointed with the installation quality, customer service, and accountability. I have photos, videos, and leak test results confirming that the leaks originated from the original installation joints. Please think carefully before trusting this company with a major HVAC installation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This response does not address the actual facts. I requested an inspection only two months after installation because I was concerned the system was not operating properly. The company refused to come out. Less than one year after installation, the system had lost essentially all of its refrigerant. After AG charged me $220 for leak detection and failed to locate the leaks, another licensed HVAC company found two leaks at the original brazed joints installed by AG. These were installation-related leaks, not "third-party errors." No third party had worked on or altered those joints before the leaks were discovered. The company later offered to refund the $220 leak-detection fee if I deleted my review. I refused. Instead of accusing the customer of intimidation, the company should explain why a newly installed system lost its refrigerant, why it refused to inspect the system when first contacted, and why another company was able to quickly find two leaks at AG's original brazed connections.
