Awesome 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom vacation rental house up near Mt. Baker. Sleeps up to 12 and has a…read moresuper open floorplan. It's right between to two little towns of Glacier and Maple Falls so there are restaurants nearby. Easy to book on VRBO or their website. It's a great getaway either for fun times with friends or with family!

It's peaceful, relaxing, beautiful, amazing, lovely, just everything you would want to experience on a week-end get-a-way. I would suggest staying a week! We went exploring on Saturday, our first stop was the small town of Glacier just 4 miles up the road. We stopped at the little Grocery store, to pick up a few supplies. They have espresso!! If you order it before you shop they bring it to you while you shop. Also, ice cream on the cone. There's an adorable 2nd hand store, they sell homemade soaps and candles as well. I Love this town! Leaving Glacier we headed toward Nooksack falls just 7 miles further up the road. Breathe taking view. I watched the Deer Hunters movie a few weeks ago, and I knew that the Nooksack falls were featured in the hunting scene of the movie. Did Meryl Streep and Robert DeNiro walk the same path as we did??? Probably not, but it's still absolutely worth the stop, it's beautifully dangerous. Back on the one way road to Mt, Baker Highway, then 14 miles to Artist Point, located at the very end of Mount Baker Highway. I felt a little intimidated on the road to artist Point, it's only about 3 miles long and with the switchbacks it's crazy exciting and lovely winding up more than 5000 feet above sea level as you arrive at the top. Yes, it boasts 360-degree views of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker. All of this, just 22 miles from the Sasquatch Mountain Hideaway cabin. We climbed a short distance to an open area, and had lunch in the snow, on a beautiful August afternoon. What do you do when you didn't bring a sled? Well you use your coat and you go Coatesbogganing! We returned to the cabin, and started the grill. We had Grilled salmon, salad, baked potato and white wine, all out on the balcony. A very pleasant non-exhausting day. This mountain hideaway features a gourmet kitchen, private bedrooms; lovely bathrooms, leather sofas big screen TV's and choice of movies, or bring your own. If you wish they have big foot slippers to wear around the cabin, and much more. This cabin is perfectly located for enjoying every season for any reason, I love our beautiful Great Northwest. The Sasquatch Mountain Hideaway makes it easy.

Stay away from this host…read more I just had a terribly bad experience with them and I really cannot possibly recommend them to anyone. A month and a half ago a family member passed away, so I had to cancel the reservation I had with Luxury Getaways. Trying to get a full refund from them was quite the adventure. In fact I have not gotten a full refund yet but I want to use this review as an opportunity to describe the poor judgement and lack of compassion these people showed along the way. Due to Luxury Getaways' cancellation policy they were only forced to refund me 50% of the original amount. The host however committed to refunding the remaining 50% if the cabin was fully re-booked. As it turns out there are quite a few important factors that the host didn't mention: 1) There were some "Airbnb service fees" that she was not planning to refund at all. These are quite a bit of money, around $300. 2) In reality, for situations like mine there is a special cancellation policy from Airbnb that lets you get a full refund, but it only works within 14 days of the cancellation date. How convenient it was to leave this out, right? During my interactions with Luxury Getaways they were extremely unresponsive. Both I and my girlfriend texted them all the time but we would get silence from them, constantly. This was very frustrating because I was just acting in good faith but I'd just get silence as a response. I can't find words to describe how frustrating this was, specially in a situation like mine. Just come clean to me: if you want to not refund me the remaining 50%, just tell me and I'll leave you alone, but don't play this game in a situation like mine. Finally after a few weeks the host confirmed that they'd be doing the refund, but then a week passed and the refund was nowhere to be seen! I ended up filing a refund claim on the Airbnb website and they didn't even reply within the time they are supposed to. I could finally contact their office and only then they responded to the refund claim. Funnily enough only then the host brought up the fact that there were these "Airbnb fees" that they would not be able to refund. Note that originally the host hadn't mentioned that. Only now I was learning about those fees. After this I opened another claim to get direct help from the Airbnb team. I have to say that The Airbnb team has been super helpful but even here Luxury Getaways had to show their true colors. As it turns out Airbnb support told me that they'd have to get an approval from Luxury Getaways to do a full refund, but of course Luxury Getaways rejected the request. Even after not mentioning the services fees at all, and even after not mentioning the fact that there was an Airbnb policy exception I could've used to get a full refund. Really, Luxury Getaways? I am extremely disappointed in this host and I cannot possibly recommend them to anyone.

We stayed for almost 3 weeks in 2 of their properties and spent around $10,000 with them. A few examples: One house had pet hair/smell everywhere, broken furniture, a previous guest's hair all over the shower (gross) and just general lack of upkeep. The second property had some sort of gas leak coming from the oven, which made it unusable. They touted it as a gourmet kitchen, but it wasn't useable and they never came to fix it once we asked. Disappointed.

I was looking for an affordable place to stay as I had just moved to BC. While I was looking I…read morefound this place. I was not sure how it worked because I never stayed in a hotel that looked more like a mansion. The outside is really nice. There's ample parking outside. Everything is automated. There's no staff on site that I've seen. At the front door there is a phone number that you call. The guy who answered was nice and kind enough to even let me in and check the place out. It's not a hotel or a motel so I'm not used to not having a front desk. When he opened the door remotely, there were people, guests, inside. Then he directed me to one of the rooms and let me view it. It was nice and clean. It's high end. Marbles, chandeliers, glass. There's a living room and electronic fireplace where you and your friends can relax and chat. The kitchen is huge and guests can cook and store food in the fridge. There's microwave if you want to heat food. Going upstairs, there's about 10 guest rooms. There's a washing machine and dryer on the second floor and for a small amount guests can do their laundry. Entering the room, it is very clean. Fresh linens and bath towels are provided. There's a walk in closet and bathroom is nice. There's a king sized bed in my room. There's TV where you can connect your phone wirelessly and play you tube videos. It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay. You can chat with other guests in the kitchen if you happen to see them. Check out is very simple. I received a call from Kim and asked if I wanted to extend or if I am checking out. I just needed to text her for this. It's as simple as that. I recommend staying at this place. It is good and inexpensive.
