There was no pushiness or sales pressure, just genuine, skillful suggestions and education about the different features available. There are many brands and styles to choose from. I purchased two prescription glasses with Tom Ford frames. They are not inexpensive and I could have shopped around for lower prices but my experience with Bev far outweighed saving a few bucks, and I enjoyed being able to support a local small business.

I told the receptionists what was going on. They got me back in seconds for the exam. The gentleman then helped me pick out glasses and instantly gave me a huge discount. The first thing I noticed when I entered the clinic was the strong, pungent smell - they do have out air fresheners, but it sticks with you the whole time. When it came time for me to look at glasses, I made clear that I needed these "just in case" and did not want anything expensive or any fancy add ons such as blue reflective tint lenses, etc. I confirmed with the lady what my allowance with my insurance was and made sure to find a pair that was well under that. I knew I would have some sort of copay for my check up ($10) and my lenses ($65), so I almost choked when she said $269. When I challenged her to confirm what the charges were, she rambled off quietly and indicated they were mandatory. When I asked to see the printout of the charges she handed it to me, and I googled a few of the codes she added on. One of them in fact was the blue light. When I challenged her again, she again denied it. After all of that, she had another colleague come up to me and tell me that I was overcharged $100. When I asked them to explain what the $100 overcharge was, they were not able to. Thankfully, I was able to fully cancel the glasses and will be taking my business elsewhere moving forward. Extremely disappointed with this experience - I used to work in insurance, so saw this kind of provider abuse all the time. Please, buyer beware.

I was, however, disappointed with the front desk/customer service. I ordered a 6 month supply of contact lenses which ended up being on back order, but nobody contacted me to let me know that it would be upwards of 2 months before they came in. The cost of my contacts also changed 3 different times over these 2 months because they were looking up the incorrect information. Then, when my contacts did finally arrive, nobody called to let me know. I called to see if they had any updates on the time frame and that's when they let me know that they had received them.

If this is how they treat paying patients, I won't be returning -- and I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone looking for respectful, professional care. When I spoke with someone the second time I reached out I told her it was relatively urgent and she reassured me I would have it the next day. And yet still nothing.
