Wish I could give 0 stars. I went with them because my realtor had heard good things from one of…read moretheir specific inspectors. We hired him, and he basically just collected a check for us for nothing. Scott, who was our inspector, who I wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy didn't do anything. He said the hot water heater was old, but still functional. My plumber came through after we bought the house and said the valve was too rusted to even turn it on, so there was no way to even know if the water heater was functional (lie #1). In the report he said all the windows were inaccessible to test functionality (paper across the bottom half held by painter's tape so people couldn't look in while it was under renovation. Laziness/lie #2). Didn't catch that the gas line to the stove in the kitchen wasn't up to code. Mentioned that a couple outlets weren't GFCI but were labeled as such, but didn't say anything about how 14 outlets were wired incorrectly and a fire hazard (caught by my plumber lol, and affirmed and fixed my by electrician). Didn't mention that the dryer outlet was out of date and a fire hazard. He basically showed up, hung out for an hour, and collected $700. I understand all inspectors make sure to tell you that they aren't liable for anything, but he literally missed over a dozen issues that cost me $10,000 in repairs once I moved into a house that I thought was updated and in great shape.

Used them in 2024 for a home in Farmington Hills. The list of misses is expansive and expensive to…read morerepair. They failed to identify a broken water backflow assembly (1000+ repair). Toilet leaking water into basement. Leaking faucet handle, broken garbage disposal, Leaking utility sink drain. Leaking hot water shut off valve. Broken gas stove. Stay away and find a better inspector.

I decided to check Facebook for inspectors closer to the area, and the word of mouth about WIN Home Inspection was excellent. So, I reached out to get a quote from them. The price was very competitive. On the day of the inspection, the inspectors, Steve and Daniel, arrived a little early. They divided the work, and although it took some time to complete, it was clear they were very thorough and attentive to detail. They were friendly and respectful throughout the entire process. They didn't try to upsell any additional services. We asked about adding a radon test, and they matched the price our realtor had mentioned. Both inspectors were very knowledgeable. Even before sending the official report, they pointed out any major issues as well as smaller items I could handle myself. The report arrived quickly, by the end of the day. It was very detailed, full of photos, and included helpful tips. Their service also includes a warranty for anything that wasn't identified as a problem during the inspection. My realtor was impressed with their work and asked for their contact information, as she wants to recommend them as well. I definitely recommend them for a home inspection. For reference, I have purchased another home in a different state in the past, and that inspection report wasn't nearly as complete as the one they provided.

We used Win home inspection to complete a sewer scope for the house we purchased. They found roots…read morein the pipe that we were able to have cleaned out before closing. They had very good quality equipment with great videos and photos. They were very responsive and easy to work with. The costs were in the average range of a sewer scope, and the report and quality was well worth it.
