Be. Retired. In 5-10 lessons 6 days a week. If a horse goes lame, the throw it in the pasture and forget about it. Even just driving by, the horses in the pasture have overgrown hooves, sunken in spines, and halters on that have been there for years. The training wasn't bad but it's definitely a beginner barn as most riders start to realize that the way they overwork their horses is unethical.

We showed up at Los Saltos at 10:00 am on a Sunday and were greeted by the welcoming committee... some friendly dogs that live on the ranch. We made our way to what seemed to be an office, knocked on the door and Cristina appeared and welcomed us. As we walked to the covered arena we were able to see two foals that were under a week old, some goats, miniature horses and a mule. The kids loved this. At the arena Cristina was so patient with the girls as she taught them commands to control their horses. They rode around the arena until they were comfortable with the horses and only then did they take us to the pasture for a trail ride. We walked the pasture and came back to the arena and Cristina let the girls ride around the arena basically until they had had enough. Then we walked the horses over to another barn and were able to take them back out to the pasture. We found the prices to be very reasonable and the horses were the best trained horses we have ever experienced. We would recommend Los Saltos to any other families that want to expose their children to horses. They also offer training classes for more advanced riding and a variety of boarding facilities.

This is the best boarding stable in the North Texas area that I have experienced. I cannot say…read moreenough good about it. They provide custom feeding and care for your horse, a specific schedule for feeding, going out, and training. They have Timothy and Alfalfa hay, large stalls with nice shavings (not those dust shavings that many have), custom blanketing for your horse's needs. They don't leave blankets on once it warms up like many stable do. Fresh water at all times, not just when it happens to be checked. The barn help and groom are detailed and care about you and your horse so that custom care is provided. The tack room is environmentally controlled 24/7 and clean which maintains your tack. Sylwia Reshel, the trainer at North Haven, is extremely detailed and patient to help you learn dressage. She is the best trainer I have worked with. She provides custom training for your particular level and needs. Sylwia explains in detail how to ride rather than just shouting out orders. She provides actual training rides with your horse, rather than just a ride to check the box. The owner Read Gendler, is the nicest and best barn owner around. She teaches Pilates and has a studio on-site. If you are looking for a safe, clean and professional place to board and take dressage lessons, this is it!!!
