Prior to going to The Tile Source I went to other places and I was struggling with choosing a backsplash for my kitchen. I made an appointment and brought in several photos of my kitchen then explained what my vision was. Stacey showed me several different tiles that complimented my kitchen and then gave me some time to look them all over. Little did I know while she was giving me unhurried time alone to decide which samples I would take home, she was at the other end of the store putting together some beautiful accent tiles that she thought I might like for under my hood. They were beautiful! I ended up going with the tile I liked most with the accent tile that Stacey picked out herself. She knew that they went well together. She even recommended a tile guy who also ended up being amazing! I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. Stacey and Jen were both really attentive and helpful. They were both very responsive to emails and phone calls. They were both extremely helpful and they both truly care about their clients. Their prices are reasonable, but even if they're slightly higher it is totally worth it because they go above and beyond to give you a 5 star experience, which you can not get online or at larger stores. I will refer everyone to them!

Nothing but 5 stars has to make you wonder, doesn't it? I hired Paint Bros after Justin…read moresmooth-talked me during an estimate conversation and I expected to get what he promised - a professional job done by respectful crews who would treat my home as their own. Instead, I was left with moisture issues in my home that I'm still assessing the severity of, product all over my light fixtures and floors, and garbage (energy drink cans, a half-eaten sandwich left on the counter). They cranked my heating system up so high that the humidity rose in my house to 100%, due in part to the fact that they didn't reopen the vents they had closed while plastering. There was so much moisture in the air that a pool of water formed on the floor protection because it couldn't absorb anymore, and the windows were fogged up in every single room as you can see. On the advice of another contractor, I've already had to purchase a commercial dehumidifier to remediate the issues they've caused and it's barely been 24 hours since I let them go. I fired Paint Bros on the third day of the job, after speaking with Justin on the second day and raising issues to be solved that were not. While I originally appreciated his willingness to refund my initial deposit and his promise to me on the day they cleaned out their equipment that I would not be charged for any additional services, his partner Jake quickly walked this back. He called me from a number that showed up as The Yoga Tree on ID to tell me that they would, actually, be sending me an invoice. He tried to say I am the only unhappy customer they've ever had. I'm perfectly willing to admit that I was irate when he called and didn't handle it well, and that's on me. My New Jersey mouth got the best of me at 8:30 this morning. But, my New Jersey BS detector is still perfectly functional and these guys are more likely to be suppressing bad reviews than delivering quality services every time. I should add, the brown floor covering in these photos was laid by me before they even started because my hardwood floors were recently refinished. Part of the quote I received from them initially clearly breaks out extensive prep, and yet none of it happened. The fact that they couldn't bother to do anything additional says it all. Justin's offer to have a cleaning crew come to my house after they packed up their gear was declined because I just couldn't trust that anything they would do for me, directly or indirectly, would be handled with care. In my experience, they will hide behind the fact that they are a small business and try to gaslight you because, look at their glowing reviews! But I have to wonder... their crews had finished another job early right before mine. Was it because they were so efficient, or did someone else go through what I did as well?

We also incurred several hundred dollars in additional charges throughout the process. After weeks of coordinating, they canceled the installation an hour before the appointment not once, but twice. It has now been over a month, and we still have not received our money back, nor have we received any meaningful communication or updates from them. We're in the process of having a kitchen and bathroom floor done by Ed's. The first day the…read moreinstaller showed up with only part of the materials. He installed the kitchen flooring into the bathroom. When he realized mistake, he took it up. He was done by late morning. He had some of the kitchen floor but not enough to do the whole kitchen. He didn't have any of the material to do the bathroom floor. So he left for the day. He wasn't sure of all the material had come into the storehouse or not Since it was only half a day at the house, I would have expected him to go back to the store to see if the material was in the storehouse . Maybe even return to get some of the flooring done on Friday. We had the plumber come in that morning to removed the toilet , they were scheduled to return in the afternoon to reinstall the toilet. We had to call and cancel him and tentatively reschedule him for Monday. Since it was a Friday, we had all of our kitchen and bathroom closet items stored in our living room for the weekend. Sunday, the installer did show up and correctly put in the bathroom floor and started the kitchen floor. Our bathroom floor is the vinyl that looks like stone and it's a grey tone. They installed a bright white molding around the flooring. It clashes and looks awful. The strip they put between the bathroom and the hallway door matches perfectly . When we requested the white molding be taken out and replaced some that matched the floor like the color of the strip in the doorway. We were told they would look around around and see if they had anything in the warehouse, I am sure that they're not going to find anything just hanging around the warehouse. If they don't have anything, they would have try to find something matching, and it would cost us extra. When we hired them to install the floor we assumed that it would be done with matching materials. Now we're being told we have to pay extra. Since we did not get a discount on the floor or a sale or anything else, I don't feel we should have to pay another cent to have the floor install correctly with matching materials . That's a discussion. we have to have later today with the manager. It's noon time Monday and they may have to come back another day to finish the floor. We told them we needed it done before Tuesday because we were having company on Tuesday. We assumed most of the work would have been done on Friday and just finishing touches on Monday. I won't know until I get home from work if they've completed the installation. I wished I had read some of the reviews , which had several negative comments about the installation. Of flooring they did. Overall, I'm just not pleased with the service , the installation or the communication I'll have to wait to see how this gets resolved but I would never recommend them or have them again.
