Like so many yelpers have already mentioned, you do need to make an appointment which is not at all difficult. I actually called in the morning on a weekday and got an appointment within three hours. The number to call is 512-974-4343. On my visit I brought all kinds of paint, fuel additive, cleaning agents, lubricants, and pesticides. To be honest, I thought they were going to charge me something for this collection of environmentally damaging products, but I offloaded everything onto their carts in a matter of minutes and was on my way. My husband was able to reach out by calling/texting and someone was quickly able to provide a quote of $450-500 for labor, haul off and disposal which was very fairly priced. The final price was $600 as we didn't drain the hot tub and that would be a bit extra which we were fine with them handling to deconstructing and hauling away all. They also were able to quickly get us on schedule and the day of, updated us on their ETA during the arrival window. The crew was very professional and friendly and we were thrilled with the work and treatment of our property and hauling away everything, like you'd never know something used to be there, aka a hot tub! The electrical portion was left and the guy stated we could have an electrician come to cap it but other than that, JunkGuys was so helpful and great at taking care of this so quickly for us :) We look forward to reaching out again and using them next time we have projects that require further clean out and removal of things!

YESTERDAY on 3/21/26 I came through there with sorted material. #1)black trash bag full of #2 insulated wire #2) orange 5gal bucket with bare bright #3) a box with #1 insulated wire #4) extruded aluminum put into a wheel barrel from my truck & onto the scale. #5) 4 pieces of clean brass laid onto scale. All of which is on YOUR cameras. Since there was a line & it was almost closing time, I got my cash & receipt, got in my car & drove away. I called the business for which a WOMEN answer & said "sorry we are closed" I said "don't care I'm coming back right now". Trash pickup is an important job, but apparently it is not important to this COA affiliate. Worse, I had to call 311 several times to get attention to this recurring issue ( and they were very helpful and friendly, btw). I was allowed to contact Dayne- the supervisor for trash pickup- but was stonewalled by him. He would not answer the 3 emails I sent. With my trashcan overflowing and no reason for it to be left un-emptied, I then tried to escalate my request through 311 but was told I had to wait 2 business days. However--to their credit, yesterday afternoon the can was emptied while I was at work. Lingering question--why does Dayne appear not to care about this? He appears to dislike reminders that his department made another mistake. Good customer service COA style would have meant an immediate apology and a friendly offer to fix the situation. So, I am going to make sure others know about this recurring trash pickup problem, and yelp is just one way. Customer service from COA is usually great. I'm sorry, but this time it didn't happen.

The key word is "residents". I put residents in quotation marks because of the comments made by Billy K. While I understand that some drive from far off distances to recycle, the paint dumping service is for the residents of Round Rock like me who pay our monthly bill for the waste to be picked up and water to run in our homes. In addition, the Round Rock Recycling Center does mention that a water/waste bill is required for paint drop off days on their website. Every time I come here, the volunteers are friendly and are eager to help.

Please take all your old electronics to them instead of throwing them in your garbage! I had also called prior to my visit because I had a question, and they were quick to answer and extremely helpful!
